after playing a few hours of doomfist these are 100% nerfs.
Maybe at your level. But for the majority of the player base this is a buff
There’s so many times where I’ve been low health and had to use my ultimate just to get a Health pack and I don’t need to do that anymore so ultimate feels a lot more fun to use

Sorry to all the Doom mains. I wasn't good enough to play him, but still feel your pain. People joke Genji is the one who gets unnecessary nerfs, but it seems like Doom does to me. It's like no one on the team actively plays the character.
At least they’re working on nanoblade and trying to make raw blade better

I think having a fast ult was better for Doom because it allowed to press for an advantage more often, I feel like I have to straddle the line for a lot longer. The "buff" just slows the hero down more for not much in return.

Dude people are quitting Doom left and right. It’s just sad. Blizzard is slowly but surely destroying this character. Over time they’ve been removing personal skill expression and creativity with this hero and made it so the only way to play him optimally is to farm amped punch and be a punch bot.
But they’re even nerfing that to the ground. This is on top of the fact you have to go above and beyond EVERY SINGLE GAME or you’ll be reported just for picking him. (I swear why do people say Doomfist is A-tier.) And we keep getting bugs. And coincidentally enough they removed any bug that might help the Doomfist but completely ignored all the ones that screw him over. Removing those slam techs because they were “bugs.” Buzz off Blizzard. Next thing you know they’ll remove your ability to turn your camera during punch and remove the ability to cancel punch with jump. Therefore removing turn punches, almost all the rollouts, and diags and call them “bugs.”
This wss the last straw for me. Not only did i quit doom i uninstall overwatch.
Tbh it didn't effect me that much but I only played a few games so I don't have a valid opinion. But I will say this stopped me from being as aggressive as I was before.

I stopped playing doom months ago it's just not worth it, I'll just delete people with hog and Mauga.

DOOMS ULT IS BASICALLY NERFED even more cuz the heal in the air is pointless as well as the longer ult charge=flat out nerf. What they need to do is SPIKE his damage up to 300or350 center ring and 200or250 outer ring. There's many ways to avoid or negate the damage in ow2 suzu lamp lifegrip zar bubble etc on top of evading abilities like fade, shields, jump jet, dash etc. so it wont be OP. And will make it scary to hear and make ppl run away. You need them to since you don't have a shield for your team. And you won't get punished on landing. Resetting CDs instead of heal (which would be OP with the DMG buff) could also be better so that you work for your "heals" by doing damage, getting shields, and making Doom Aggressive AGAIN! WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF THIS??

You can feel the increase of ult charge A LOT. You BARELY get ANY healing using this too, so there’s almost no value.
4:24 was a perfect example of why the buff doesn't mean much at all. It's nice, but doesn't fix the actual issue which blizzard still doesn't see

I got shafted so bad. I used to play dps doom, i even bought the gold fists but now he’s unplayable. Most unique character and they do him like this 5:36 😔
Worst part is, this is a good doom player. So doom gameplay doesn’t get much better than this.

Normally I’ll be honest, I feel like we are always on doomer (literally) energy about doomfist, but MAN. I think the ult change is meh, but the last nerf on empower punch is fucking horrendous. It’s such a cosmetic ability now
Have you played against Mauga yet? Ive playes against him, as doom, a lot in quickplay it it feels MISERABLE. Lik imo ita handa down dooms worst tank mu rn. Any thoughts on that mu?
It's been 50/50 for me when it comes to fighting Amaugus as Doom.
Wait for his cardiac overdrive to be over and he's more manageable but feels like I was still just punchbotting against him so he stopped pressuring my team

The heal thing feels pointless and the ult nerf feels awful in game, I feel like I'm missing out on at least 3 ults per game
these doom "buffs" remind me of when they "buffed coalescence by tripling her healing resource gain while using it for the low low cost of 16% ultimate cost. truly amazing buffs! woulda them rather not touched either ultimate.
I really did not believe Mr. Streamer until I tested out the changes myself. As a doom main, you don't need that extra health when you get destroyed afterwards in a matter of seconds. His ult should be gained faster because of its less damage output.
Were the devs not wanting to buff characters based off win percentage? You know that Doom is in the negatives….

Blizzard doesn't want to deal with the complicated highly mobile characters and would prefer it if everyone just shot at the giant bullet sponge tank until everyone has their ults ready and pops them to progress the match. Which begs the question why they turned Doom into a tank in the first place.

As a mcassidy main I would like to apologize to all the doom mains that I hindred im telling ya tho they didn’t buff rein reaper genii mcassidy or wrecking ball they’re only focusing on the good characters like kiriko when she’s already op she got a massive buff FOR NO RESSION at all the only good thing they did was buff some tanks
I just realised why power block is THE problem
In low elos df is punchbotting 24/7, because everyone shoots him anyway
Infinite amount of empowered punches lets this bots win on doom, and therefore boost his winrate preventing doom from receiving buffs, because devs look at winrate an barely anything else
Imagine if tracer or genji had this kind of mechanic
They won't buff doom if they can avoid it, regardless of winrate. What OW1 showed them is that making doom a strong but high skill character is bad for the game, making him a weak high skill character is really good for the game. None of the dev team can effectivly play doom either so all they really do is look for player complaints.
If doomfist gets an empowered punch. His punch should reset.

Wow it really takes too long to get ults now. Its so horrible. From getting 4 ults in a round to 1 and its not like i am killing with the ults its mostly to run away from sleeps, hacks, nades, stuns, hooks, mauga ults and a billion other counters. With Rein i get 3 times as many ults and kills and generally feel more tanky. Doom is just horrible now
but quake everytime i come by and say whats up you ignore me :( :( :(

Ult has low damage output and buggy so Doom players use it for an escape tool on a health pack
So Blizzard thought it would be better to give Doom health regen when ultimate is activated rather than adding more damage output and fixing bugs
What if they buff the dps to make it kill something and everyone starts complaining 💀

This just made me so glad I broke free from the cycle and that i will never play this dogshit game again, I will pray for my former doom bother's though.

revert the last 2 doom patches and go back to the drawing board with these dumbass nerfs
i play doom a lot as a casual player and tbh these are a buff to me. i realize its different for top 500, and obviously they should change it. but at this rank, ult generation isnt really as important. you usually hold onto ult much longer and because of that, the healing you get is really nice when you have to use it. people also dont focus you as heavily or readily know doom “counters” in the same way as other tanks. like people know to go reaper/bastion against winston. ana against roadhog etc. so you kinda just run it down in the backline and no one can do anything to you. even if they’re being careful not to give me empowered punch, i can still survive and maybe kill a support or distract them long enough for my team to get a pick.
i think they should reduce the ult charge rate, i really have no idea why they increased it so much. even when jq was really insane, they didn’t increase her ult charge by THAT MUCH. Relatively speaking, because doom ult requires way less charge than other ults, the 18% seems more excessive than it was. but idk maybe reducing it by 8% would help out a bit. even 10%
its a very big misconception that people think doom is bad at low ranks because he’s difficult. but he really isnt… doing the bare minimum on him can get a lot of value. its explains why they do these really stupid changes to doom. because hes legit good at middle-low ranks. we’re not so fucking stupid that we cant play doom, in that same argument, why tf would the devs make a character that less than 1% of the playerbase can play? literally makes no sense from a game design perspective. not saying skill shouldn’t be rewarded, but moreso that top 500 overestimate how good you have to play heroes. the amount of errors you can make is higher because players are inconsistent any punishing you for making mistakes. its a mixed bag of skill level

They will listen to you, since you are a famous streamer, a lot of people watch you and they will not let your word fall on deaf ears.
