Thanks Jill. Your videos are so easy to watch. Even not have conflicting music in the background is just so nice! The overhead is just nice. Always so professional. Really greatly appreciated. Everything I know about beading I learned from you. 💙
Thank you! This video and showing how to fix the broken bead will save a lot of pieces from being torn apart. Too many times I've had a wrong color bead and had to redo entire project. Some I've saved as samples. This is a huge help. Looking forward to your upcoming video to show how to fix the hole of broken bead. Thank you. 😘
Looking forward to your next video showing how to fix the peyote bead you took out. I recently restarted a project I had about 3/4ths of the way done because I broke a bead. Wasn't 100% sure how to fix it without making it obvious that I'd done so. However I am quite certain breaking a bead more purposefully will come soon enough. I try to triple count my row to avoid it but I'm me - so I'm sure it will happen. LOL!! :) Thank you for sharing this video to help me fix my errors w/o having to restart a project!
Hey Jill. Do you have a video showing how to sew in the new bead? I’m sure it’s easy but if I try it, it may not work and I’ll have to start all over ughhh! Thanks
Thank you for those tips.👏🏽👍🏽 I also like your gold bangle, is there a tutorial for that on your page? Also please post that video on how to replace a bead, thank you.
Hey Jill I watched this the other day then today I discovered that there is a way to use a crimper for a bead NOT on an edge!! How to do it is just put a needle in it first to kind of pop it up a little and then you can easily break it with crimpers but it won't affect the surrounding beads!!
Jill I love your tutorials and have learned so much. But .. would you make a video on how to hold your thread when beading? Example is peyote especially the first three rows. My thread (fireline/wildfire) can get twisted inside the beads when adding beads and they end up sitting side by side but on the wrong side. Also when doing any other stitch I see you and others hold your work with tension but have a hard time wrapping thread of tail around a finger and hold tension on the other side as I add new beads. Hopefully I’m explaining it well enough. I just fumble and drop my work or don’t hold enough tension throughout the piece. Thank you for considering a short video.
I’m not an expert but I’m assuming you use a stop bead in the beginning correct? I used to have that problem as well. It still tends to get loose on me sometimes. It’s not crazy loose but I do lose that good tension. When that happens I either scoot the stop bead in closer or use my thumb nail to maintain the tension. The problem with moving the stop bead is It get’s twisted around. Very annoying.I’ve found that my nail is the correct thickness to allow for this. It’s even better now that I have acrylic nails that aren’t too thick. (I finally found a good nails tech!) I remember one of my teachers fixing mine at one point. I was very new to the technique and I was getting a lot of twist. She straight up grabbed my project and with both hands just pulled it tight to get the thread settled into the correct position. I thought it would break at first. I looked on with my mouth open scared. lol With the fire line it held though. The beads popped into the correct place and I was able to hold my project correctly. Once again I’m not an expert. I’d consider myself an intermediate level beader. Good luck!
I can attest to the crimper tool. I do it all the time. You can also just use the very tip where the 2 flat parts meet to squeeze the bead... Sometimes that crimp space is too big to be able to squeeze the bead enough to break it, like with a 15/0... The tip of the tool is perfect for any size seed bead. 😁
At the first beading class I ever took, the teacher told us about using crimping pliers to break delica beads, but she cautioned that if you use them to break 11/0s, you'll probably ruin the fireline. I found that she was right. My preferred method is an awl and a large pink rubber eraser - I ease the point of the awl through the bead I want to break and jam the point into the eraser until the bead breaks. The bead pieces don't go flying and my thread never frays.
You said in one of the comments it would be a week when you posted the video on how to replace the missing bead. Any idea when it will go up yet? No rush. Good is better than quick after all. I do have a couple of projects that I would like to correct though. Thanks!
I can’t wait to see the next video on how to fix the miss bead issue. I’m always breaking beads. 🙄🙈
Does the video exist?
@Teresa, not yet… I’m sure Jill Wiseman will get round to doing it. 😜
Thanks for this video! No matter how careful I lay out my beads, I still somehow manage to have a spirit bead. Lol. Can't wait for the next video!
I love Jill wiseman tutorials. She makes things look and seem so easy! Her directions are easy to follow

I've had the wrong color bead in my project and now, thanks to you, I know how to take care of it. Thank you, Jill!
Happy to help!

Love these tips Jill, I’ve broken the thread before, very frustrating

While watching your video on breaking out a seed bead I could help but notice your beautiful bracelet. Which pattern is this?

@@hnybdee thanks for that Diana. I’ll definitely try those tips.
Thank you so much! Very helpful!

Would this work on loom?
Do you show the cubic right angle weave?

And I imagine getting stabbed by the awl hurts mightily! 💚
Great tip!
How do you add a bead where you broke it out? Thank you
thanks..this is useful info!!

Thanks for reminding me!! I'll try to get it up very soon! (Putting it down on my to-do list so I don't space it out this time!!!)
Tanks
Спасибо большое!❤
Where is the video on how to fill in the hole?
Coming next week. :-)
