Adding more cabinet space in our small kitchen

We wanted to add some more cabinet space in our small kitchen so I looked into some Wall Bridge Kitchen Cabinet. They are normally used to bridge two cabinets together, like above your stove. We have extra space above our cabinets which would allow us to add two of those cabinets on top (30x12x12).
One thing to keep in mind, you will need a veneer sheet to cover the side of the cabinet that will be exposed. I ordered a 12in x 12in sheet of veneer off of Amazon and I just glued it on the side of the cabinets.

We've got plenty of cabinet space but they are very old and the shelf spacing doesn't make sense. I'm hoping to buy new cabinets 1 day. Great job..looks good 👏 👏 👏 👏

This is GENIUS - this is what I was looking for. My Sister has so much stuff in her kitchen because he cabinets are very small and she has above cabinet space. SO I decided to check out any videos that extend the space as SPACE and not box in the upper part, (as most people seem to do... maybe they have plenty space??). This is what I was looking for and I cannot believe people box in usable space. Thank you for this tutorial/video. Once I show her - she might agree for me to do these for her. I thought it was so professional - the cabinets looked like they were always there!! Well done!! Did you secure them to the wall or just let the cabinets below them take the weight?? just wondering.

I just let the cabinets below take on the weight. It wouldn't hurt though to mount them to the wall. I just knew we were not putting anything heavy up there. We have like theme park cups, and popcorn containers up there.
