The zipper looks like it'd be a fun desk knife/letter opener. Weirdest I have is a "NAXFUSS Mechanical Style" I picked up off Amazon a year ago. Part of the handle unfolds to release the blade, and then folds back into place to lock it down. And if you're using the knife, your grip makes it virtually impossible for the lock to fail. It has thumbstuds, but they're useless on the design.
Oh yeah, perfect for something light duty like a letter opener. And sounds pretty neat, I’m going to have to see if I can track that down. Thanks for watching and for sharing your weirdest!
Thats what ours were used for when I was a kid. The one stayed in the top, thin drawer of the desk for letters etc. we had another and Im not sure where it ended up unfortunately.
Thanks brotha! Weird knives are probably my favorite category to collect so always on the look out for something strange haha. Appreciate you checking it out!!
Great job Jake! Some weird, but really cool designs! Great ones to have in your collection. Thanks for sharing these! Keep up the great work my friend!
It is do interesting at how many different ways they have to open a knife. I enjoy most but not all of vourse but seeing different innovations is beyond interesting. Nice job brother
Agreed, I love that we’re still seeing innovation in deployment methods and locks after 100’s of years of knife designs. Thanks for taking a look brotha! 👊🏼⚔️
I actually have a few of those “gas station knives” that my dad acquired I think either before I was even born or when I was very young. One is from “Parts + Plus”, a parts warehouse obviously, in black and I cant remember where the other came from, which is white. Its funny because they were always just lying around that I forgot they even existed until I had seen something online about them one day and was like “Oh shit, theres a couple of those around here somewhere” and I went on a search. Currently only found the black one but still looking for the white one. Oh yeah, a guy on IG that I follow from the UK is supposed to be hooking me up with one from Volkswagen back in the day. And actually I think its from their “performance” division if that tells you how old they actually are. Glad I remembered that so I can message him about it so I can add it to the Volkswagen/knife collection 😂
I like weird stuff too. Kinda eyeballing that bolster lock one. And waiting on the exo utility knife. My weirdest is the campion dragonfly. With its flicking gravity knife operation.
Nice, I just saw Crane Cutlery posted that the Exo will be available for preorder soon. $75 and will have worldwide shipping. That dragonfly looks really cool, might have to grab that one too! Thanks for taking a look brotha! 👊🏼⚔️
Camillus is still using that deployment on some of their newer knives. I don’t have any weird ones but I handled the CIVIVI Typhoeus and that was pretty weird. Good stuff brother👊🏻
@@UncommonEDC It’s a non-locking folder that transforms into a punch dagger. I’d never use it as a punch dagger because with no lock it would probably break a finger!
I think my weirdest opening method is on the Kershaw ET. My Krag Jorgensen bayonet is weird because it's lighter than its size would have you think... And then older slip joints were just wild... I've got an old Schrade that's got like a 4inch blade, it's kinda silly looking on the thin handle 😂
That Kershaw ET looks wild, have you shown that before? Would love to see all 3 if you’re up for a video on them haha. No pressure though, appreciate you checking them out!! 👊🏼⚔️

Interesting, I don’t think I’ve seen anything from their recent lineup. And nice, I’m going to have to take a look at that one!

Love uniqueness! Cheers 👐

These are all really awesome! Got to hand it to CRKT for going with a lot of cool design.
Thanks! I had that thought while I was setting up the video as well, they’re definitely not afraid to try new things. Appreciate you taking a look!!
