I have a theory on why people are being so picky with 2k. I think it's because 2K has set the bar so high that our expectations of how the game should look are no longer based on how previous video games looked and felt. They are now based on real life. This is so close to real life but we can obviously still pick up on what makes it different from real life so we are killing 2K for that. Whether you want to admit it or not, this is what is happening.. It is closer to real life than a video game and that makes us try to pick out all of the flaws, even ridiculous things like the insides of mouths and stuff. It's human nature. Our brains are so good at distinguishing real life from animation. When we see something that gets so close to it we have to analyze the heck out of it and then we start noticing tiny flaws. It's never going to be perfect..I don't think. But this is the first true next gen game on a brand new console. It's only going to get better from here which is crazy to think about.. They already have the faces down, maybe next year they put more attention to the bodies. Next gen is nuts...

Yeah they should zoom in a little to a medium shot or even from the chest up. they could also vary from the superman pose to more of a close in another interview. It still looks good though.
WOW, wish they could add a few more stances and maybe not in the same location on the court for each one but this is freaking amazing! I just hope I dont shoot 0/10 with someone and in the interview they say "I was knocking down shots trying to win the game" wonder if they will coincide with that happened in the actual game and often they will repeat interviews
its probably going to do that and get repetitive unless they got down like 15 different interview statements from each player. which wouldn't be too hard. then it would be rare to see them often since halftimes stars varey
Why the fuck are people complaining? 2k didnt even have to put this in, they could've just said ''Fuck it.'' and not put the effort into making these little segments but they did and im glad. It just adds to the realism and immersion.

not that this is bad (because it isn't, I was left in awe)... but maybe next year show little subtle things like: - the players wiping their faces - moving around a bit (because there are no players, or coaches in real life who just stands like that) -and have a player video-bomb an interview... but like I said, when I saw the Lebron commercial at E3, I was expecting this, and I am not surprised that you guys did this. But this is F******* solid!

Why is the microphone so low, and Doris seems so stiff! there also seems to be like 3 stances, on for the coaches hands behingd the back, players have hands on hips, no more than that, but still is impressive.. I wonder how NBA 2K will be 5 years from now!
The microphone is so low to compensate for hight differences, but i completely understand what you mean, this is a great stepping stone for years to come, if they start to think like this in a transitional game they will certainly have a lot of good things in store for us
Cool feature, but maybe they could have put more into it. Like make it a bit interactive, like have the gamers control the player's/coach's poses during the interview. Or ask for a towel to wipe perspiration. But this is a nice addition for a more realistic NBA experience. GOOD JOB 2KSPORTS!
So what they're in the same stances! It's just INTERVIEWS people! This is an amazing feature! REAL player and coaches voices commenting on the action! How the fuck can anyone complain about that? In the real TV interviews all they do is just stand there and answer questions anyway! They had the same thing in ESPN NFL 2K5 and those were ACTORS doing voice overs yet everyone was raving about that feature at the time. Now we have the REAL NBA PLAYERS AND COACHES and folks still bitching? Give me a break!

2 years later 1 still have doris burke but we also have aldrige 2 steve kerr is gone but now we have more variety of commentators 3 we have halftime shows 4 still have default voices 5 low scoring games are solved with longer games 6 they sometimes pose like superman but not as frequently like the video

Watch the leaked footage of the guys playing with the Bulls and Thunder. Derrick Rose actually DID change postures several times during the interview. This must have been from an early build.

To everyone complaining about the stances, watch an NBA game. When they're interviewed, they ALL put their hands on their hips. Some may fold their arms, others may put their hands behind their backs. 2K has added all three as you can see in other videos of PS4 Gameplay
This is, as far as I'm aware, the first game to ever include this in. The voices are realistic and even if the stances are the same, this is an amazing addition. Especially as this is their first draft, give them some credit jheez, can't wait to see what the future of 2K holds!

Now thats NEXT GEN. And this is the type of small detail we have been missing from 2k since NFL 2K5. When you have presentation like this in a game, it make season/franchise/my player/my gm modes all feel that much more real. As excited about NBA 2K14 next gen, I CANT WAIT for the Announcement of the return of the NFL 2K series... I mean NBA Live is trying to Dethrone 2K Y not take the football throne back this summer. And on top of that if it came with a cheaper price than madden again. Its almost a guaranteed must buy.

Why is the microphone so low, and Doris seems so stiff! there also seems to be like 3 stances, on for the coaches hands behingd the back, players have hands on hips, no more than that, but still is impressive.. I wonder how NBA 2K will be 5 years from now!
The microphone is so low to compensate for hight differences, but i completely understand what you mean, this is a great stepping stone for years to come, if they start to think like this in a transitional game they will certainly have a lot of good things in store for us

Cool feature, but maybe they could have put more into it. Like make it a bit interactive, like have the gamers control the player's/coach's poses during the interview. Or ask for a towel to wipe perspiration. But this is a nice addition for a more realistic NBA experience. GOOD JOB 2KSPORTS!
So what they're in the same stances! It's just INTERVIEWS people! This is an amazing feature! REAL player and coaches voices commenting on the action! How the fuck can anyone complain about that? In the real TV interviews all they do is just stand there and answer questions anyway! They had the same thing in ESPN NFL 2K5 and those were ACTORS doing voice overs yet everyone was raving about that feature at the time. Now we have the REAL NBA PLAYERS AND COACHES and folks still bitching? Give me a break!

Are we really complaining about the standing poses by the players? Do we understand how huge of an undertaking this real voice effort is by 2K? This has never been done by any developer and I am stoked that 2K has gone to this level to make next gen as close to real life as possible. JUST AWESOME.

To everyone complaining about the stances, watch an NBA game. When they're interviewed, they ALL put their hands on their hips. Some may fold their arms, others may put their hands behind their backs. 2K has added all three as you can see in other videos of PS4 Gameplay
This is, as far as I'm aware, the first game to ever include this in. The voices are realistic and even if the stances are the same, this is an amazing addition.
Especially as this is their first draft, give them some credit jheez, can't wait to see what the future of 2K holds!

Now thats NEXT GEN. And this is the type of small detail we have been missing from 2k since NFL 2K5. When you have presentation like this in a game, it make season/franchise/my player/my gm modes all feel that much more real. As excited about NBA 2K14 next gen, I CANT WAIT for the Announcement of the return of the NFL 2K series... I mean NBA Live is trying to Dethrone 2K Y not take the football throne back this summer. And on top of that if it came with a cheaper price than madden again. Its almost a guaranteed must buy.
