Hi, lovelies! It feels good to be back🤍! I hope you all learnt something from this video. Share more pros and cons that you've experienced while washing your natural hair in twists below! Also, you can now purchase and download my updated 2 in 1 Ebook to Grow Your Natural Hair Faster & Longer here bit.ly/43z9Q0u Thank you!
oh these are the best tips. My hair tangles so bad when I shampoo now that I have grown from twa length to mid length. At this length washing my hair in twists is no longer optional. It is MANDATORY!!
This past month I’ve been washing my natural 4C hair in twists and I use the same technique as well. I do notice that I’ve had less split ends, less single strand knots and my ends are healthy.
I can’t thank you enough for this video…washing in twist has been a game changer for me…. Barely any tangles or fairy knots…and my hair does not have time to shrink back up. Whew! I needed this! My life has just gotten easier ❤😊
Thank you! Finally someone addressing this topic because I thought I was the only one who experienced roadblocks with this method. I had to switch my shampoo routine because of it. Instead of washing in twists, I take one section out to shampoo, then re-twist afterwards. Thanks again for your tips!
I wash my hair in twists but I detangle and remove shed before I wash. I've just started to deep condition my hair in twists. I just make my conditioner looser and it rinses a lot better.
I've been washing my daughter's hair in twists all summer and it has definitely helped! I plan to continue doing this for her hair. I wish I knew about this method sooner!
Thanks for these tips. I've gotten so frustrated with my hair since it's gotten longer (6 years natural) from ssk and tangles. I started ripping my hair out on wash day. I will try washing and conditioning in twist. You just saved my natural hair. New subscriber ❤
I actually washed my hair in twists for the first time last night! I haven’t styled yet bc I got tired lol but so far I’m really happy with how much easier it is for me!
I washed my hair in twist yesterday and when I took them down to retwist I realize I have less Shedding going to continue to do it for a while.... Thanks for the tips ❤️
I love washing my hair in twists because it’s convenient and fast. I have SD, so there are times when I have to wash my hair loose to get the scales from my scalp out of my hair during a flare. But most of the time I wash and wear my hair in 17 twists.
In the past my hair would unravel when washing in twist. Thank you for the tip on how to prevent this. I used the advice on wash day 5/7/21, it worked. My twist didn't unravel. I washed and conditioned the way you demostrate in the video. However, my hair did tangle while twisted (I detangled before washing). I am not sure if it is because I have fine strands. Any suggestions?
My hair tangles when I wash twists, too. It has improved a great deal in the past year, but what was going on for me was a combination of the strands being a variety of lengths (some were regrowing from shed hairs, etc) and cuticle damage along the length of the shaft from heat tools, which caused the strands to kind of grip each other (this was only solved by growing it out and trimming it off bit by bit). So for me, growth helped me experience less tangles when washing in twists. What also helped was me paying attention to grow better hair, hair that got the vitamins and protein it needed from inside my body, so that what grew was in a stronger state from the beginning. I hope your journey is going well! 💜
I wash my hair in twists but my husband was like ur hair cant wash in twists and be clean ,so he came in the shower and wash my hair it took so long and now I have the flue kmt never again
Thank you for the video Chinwe! Do you have any advice on how to make washing your hair in the shower less uncomfortable? It is an ordeal for me! God bless
Hello! New subbie here.. thank you so much for this video. You have provided me with key info I need in retaining my length..thank you so much sister.. love your beautiful hair 🥰
Lint will only accumulate if there is no way for it to be rinsed out after washing. I suggest you make sure all the conditioner is washed out before styling.
I wash my daughter's hair once a month, her hair is always braided and it get dusty and sticky as I'm using gels to stile it. I wish I could wash her hair in twists so that it doesn't gets tangled. Any tips you have would be helpful. Thank you.

EXCELLENT video! THANKS!😊
Great video as always. I wash my hair in the sink so direction is a challenge. I may try the shower next week. 👍🏽
Try it out. It’ll help keep your hair cuticles closed too.
I find that having a mirror in my shower is super helpful. I cannot wash my hair in the shower without it..
Very informative video dear, but I'd like to ask can I braid instead of twist?
Yes you can Laurel!
Thank you for the video Chinwe! Do you have any advice on how to make washing your hair in the shower less uncomfortable? It is an ordeal for me! God bless

Thank you! 🤍
Great video!
I noticed that since I started washing in twists, I get soooo much lint in my hair. Is it my habits or this style of washing?
Lint will only accumulate if there is no way for it to be rinsed out after washing. I suggest you make sure all the conditioner is washed out before styling.
Thanks! 😇
Can u do protein treatments with twist
This is actually a good question seeing I'm doing a protein treatment today
Hi I'm just starting with taking better care of my hair. What products do you advise me starting with?
I wash my daughter's hair once a month, her hair is always braided and it get dusty and sticky as I'm using gels to stile it. I wish I could wash her hair in twists so that it doesn't gets tangled. Any tips you have would be helpful.
Thank you.
You can wash in sections instead in order to allow every styling gel/product to be washed out.
@@Igbocurls thanks I'll try that in two weeks.
Beautiful hair
Is the book no longer available? When I clicked on link, it said access denied
Hi! I took it down for some updates. It’ll be back up soon. Thank you so much!
thank uu, very helpful
Can I do braids instead of twists ? And I wash my hair in the sink with my head down. Will That affect anything ?
Yes you can do braids. It’ll allow your hair not to tangle more even if you wash up side down.
@@Igbocurls thank you so much. So helpful !
God bless you too😇👍
Amen!🤍
I’ve done my whole natural hair journey wrong 😭😭😭
Here’s a tip, research fast hair growth shampoo to double hair growth.
Beautiful hair
Thank you Rhoda!
