    That’s soo cool you have an LFS like that near you thats willing to help like that, all I have is a Petco forcing me to purchase most equipment & sea critters online, so I don’t know if they would/could do something like this. Luckily with living in an apartment at the moment while going to college, the 20 gallon reef tank I’m running shouldn’t be too much of an issue when its time to move!
    Really an eye opener type of video as one day, I’d love to move up to a tank that size but its easy to forget the amount of work that can sometimes go into it. Thank you for showing us the good with the bad; very authentic videos. Keep them coming!

    • @QueenofReef
      @QueenofReef  2 роки тому +1

      I buy everything online so don't let that stop you!! I actually started with a 29g in undergrad at my apt too, so you'll get here sooner than you think 🤣 Tons of tank sizes in between 20g and 220g as well - honestly wish I went smaller like a 75g because this tank is so much to handle and it's quite exhausting to do maintenance.

      @@QueenofReef I honestly like using flat long rocks and using big rocks and creating a simple aquascape like that. I also see slopes when I scuba dive going downward so I try and mimic what I see in the wild with rocks.:) Like an arch way or bridges but angled with uneven rocks look super natural.

    Im so sorry to hear ur aquascape broke. A little advise, do a series of water changes every 2-3 days. Moving tanks may release built up detritus and pockets of gas from the sand. Just a small safety precaution that will help ur move be more successful. As for the scape, i am sure will come up with something great

    I know the guys from Aqua Studios, and they are fantastic! I'm now in Houston, but I missed those guys from the store. Moving a tank can be overwhelming. I moved mine by myself from Dallas to Houston, and all my livestock survived, including corals; it very stressful, but grateful because they are my pets. Great job, Aqua Studios!

    It sucks that your aquascape didn't make it but I see it as a good thing. If the scape didn't survive a move like that, I can't imagine it surviving an earthquake or the added weight of your corals once they had grown out. Better this than it breaking in the tank sometime down the line.

    • @QueenofReef
      @QueenofReef  2 роки тому +1

      Luckily we don't have earthquakes, but I get what you're saying. It was the kind of scape that just has to sit there and be left alone 😂 I'm not surprised it broke, but fresh start now to make it better
