Adam is so easy to listen to and learn from.. Just got Catalog and have about 30,000 designs. One question does Catalog have way to see designs that are not keyworded?
Hi, you mentioned that when you’re using catalog, you would want to copy the design if you’re going to make any changes to the design, otherwise you would be changing the original design and I’m assuming you would lose the original in place of the altered design. Is that only if you save the altered design using the same name or does the program save automatically?
I'm almost positive it autosaves every 7 minutes, but now I'm questioning myself. It does have a backup save function, so if the program crashes you can go back to the last project you opened. I will find out today and see if there is an autosave or if I am making that up. You can always drag and drop the design into your workspace and that opens a copy and not the original.
I rarely make comments but I had to-I love, love, love your videos! You make me want to buy all of the programs as I think I will be able to master them all with your lessons. Thank you! You have brought so much joy to my quilting!!
Thank you Adam. I wasn't sure if I wanted to purchase PS Catalogue, but your video piqued my curiosity to investigate further. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with everyone. Stay
Thank YOU so much, Adam - your tut 'clicked' for me, was able to 'link' one of my MIA file folders...Yes! Now, ProStitcher Studio/Catalog is having All kinds of FUN Searching my plethora of files ;-)
Can anyone tell me, if you have purchased a bunch of downloadable quilting designs, and some are still in the ZIP file, and some you've already UNZIPPED but didn't really create a great file menu for all of this stuff on your laptop.... Do you have to open and extract each zip file and then save the files from inside the zip into a separate folder for all unzipped designs before CATALOG can find the design? Also, if you do have to unzip them first, do you only save the .hqv files in your special folder if you're using a Handiquilter longarm?
I am not sure if this answer. I’m pretty sure they all need to be unzipped before they are searchable. I would ask this question over on prostitcher.com, you can go to the PS Designer section and click on support. There is a section on that page where you can send an email into the help desk. It’s more of a software computer question and I’m not good with those 😉.
Hi Adam, new here and love your videos. Quick question on this one. If you happened to add another folder under "Everything Quiltable" would it automatically be linked since Everything Quiltable is linked or would you have to relink it with the new folder.
Quiltable is a site where you can purchase long arm designs. It’s new, just went live back in November, but they already have a good selection of designs. They also have a VERY reasonable price to for their design clubs. I have used some of their designs in my video and just purchased a new set for some upcoming videos I’m working on.
I had a notice about a questions about keywords but I don’t see it now. I’m not sure if it disappeared or what but some designs will have keywords assigned to them already. You can also go into designs and set your own keywords. I use my Pro-Stitcher to make a lot of block, so I don’t have to worry about marking the quilt and PS will just stitch them out. When I save my blocks, I put a keywords in, so I can find them fast. You can also add keywords to designs you use a lot. I love Circle Meander, so I added the keyword “favorite” to the design. When I search with that keyword, I only get my favorite designs to pop up.
@@adamsewfun. Thanks so much Adam - I was a bit upset when I purchased Catalog because in the HQ Video they said it comes with pre loaded key words and as it turns out it does not however when I saw you search by name that made me feel a little better. I will just have to gradually add them but wow it is going to take some time.
@@lisaporche211 - I saw that, too. I 'think' what Adam was referring to, after going back and watching, the 'Quiltable' downloable longarm quilting designs are 'coming with' pre-loaded key words? I'm going to go purchase some and just see ;-)
Will you please send me an email, I don't want to post it here, as I would prefer people to go to their retailer directly. I have given it to some who were not able to fine one though. I don't mind helping out, just don't want to post it. adamsewfun@gmail.com

Thank you! I was getting so frustrated with catalogue, but now it’s easy! So grateful for your videos!

How would you suggest choosing keywords? I especially wonder if they don’t have a specific shape, or several shapes?
I don’t actually key word anything. I just search the name. If I were to keyword, I would do something that I would associate with the design.
I love your logic skills! Thanks.
This was helpful Adam, thank you.

I think it will automatically be linked, but don’t hold me to it. I would try it and see if the files you added show up.
Sew helpful! Thanks!
Oh so smart Adam!!
What is Quiltable?

My retailer retired, can you get me a catalog code?
