    Having received a BioLite Campstove 2 Bundle for Christmas we set out to give an honest test review. The Bundle contains the "smokeless" Campstove, with built in power bank to charge your devices, Kettlepot, flex light and Grill. We put it through its paces first at home but stay tuned for the second part when we head out into nature to test the Grill, on the banks of the Danube in Bratislava Slovakia, using biomass fuels. Will Doug approve of his burgers! 😉

    Pack your small blocks or thick branch pieces tight so you can put tinder& small twigs on top, for a 'TOP DOWN BURN', will last about half hour. empty the coals back on top.. super efficient..

    That cold water appeared to be steaming as it was poured into the kettle, must have been the smoke from the fire 😅

    • @BellasBigAdventures
      @BellasBigAdventures  3 роки тому +1

      Yes it was a very cold windy day but I can assure you it was cold water straight out of the tap 😂 (not trying to trick you!) On average each time we’ve boiled water from cold it’s taken approximately 6-7 mins
      Google says......Can cold water produce steam?
      The water has vapor pressure, so it is continuously evaporating, however when it enters the colder air, the air can't hold that much water so you see the clouds of steam (and probably some ice crystals) above cold water in the even colder air.

    New sub here, this was an excellent review which was beautiful to watch as well as pleasant to listen to, thank you. I purchased the same bundle but before I venture off to make yummy coffee with the press can you share the ratio of scoops (tablespoons) of coffee grounds to the amount of water (cups or liters) used. Thanks!

    • @BellasBigAdventures
      @BellasBigAdventures  Рік тому +1

      Ah thank you very kind of you. Now on the coffee front…. It all depends how strong you like it and the coffee grounds strength! I used 4 scoops of Colombian to max water level but I like it strong. Trial and error mostly. Enjoy your bio lite it’s a fab bundle.

    We really like your videos. Very informative. My wife ask me a question about which BioLite product charges quickest, or produces the most electricity? Is it the Camp Stove 2, BioLite BaseCamp, or BioLite FirePit? Many thanks, Harold

      Thank you 😊 glad you’re enjoying watching. I’m afraid I can’t answer your wife’s question I’ve only tried the campstove 2 but I do know the fire pit doesn’t produce electricity for charging things like phones, only to run it’s internal fan.

      The cleaning is fairly straight forward as long as you clean on each use. Same as any regular charcoal style bbq. The grill bars obviously change colour but havent rusted etc. great product. Battery still charging well too.

    They kind of push this as a green product to reduce the carbon footprint, but yet you can't change that battery. You'd have to dispose that whole attachment and replace it with a new one. Kind of turned me off of buying one. Too bad, it's a great idea.

    • @BellasBigAdventures
      @BellasBigAdventures  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I’d say that’s the case with most rechargeable batteries at the moment but provided it lasts a while it will hopefully make up for the replacement part in the future.
