Not enough tickets sold. To be fair to Chicagoland, the stands were built when racing attendance was at its peak (in the 90s).

I like watching drag racing but in the first half of the video, I would wish I wasn’t in the stands because nobody is doing a full run due to all the breakdowns. Wouldn’t pay or go to watch 110mph runs👎
Tricky track with hot weather in qualifying, not going to get a ton of great runs through that.
