Here are a couple of tips that make assembly slightly easier ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . 1) One person can assemble, but if you have a buddy to help, it will make it go faster - especially steps 1-3 and 8 (the legs aren't heavy but can be difficult to hold while screwing things in). Step 8, 1st part will take some time unless you have two more hands OR are really lucky. 2) Use a socket wrench! 3) Step 7, 3rd part - the flame carry over tube has an open side, MAKE SURE THE OPEN SIDE IS FACING THE FRONT. If it's facing the back, the tube won't work. 4) Step 10, 3rd part - if you don't have small hands (I don't, they're gigantic) getting the nut on is really difficult (but not impossible). It took me about 4 hours to assemble, but I took a "union break" every 60-90 minutes and ate a quick lunch. Also, I'm really OCD so I took my time, looked at the instructions carefully, and cleaned up as I went.
Really great video. My grill is still new in the box, I can't wait to assemble and get started. I would think it would be easier to wrap that drip pan with aluminum foil before you put it back in the grill. Unless there is a reason to do so after. Polite comments would be greatly appreciated, I'm still new to smoking!!!!
Hi, My Timberline ruined my Thanksgiving turkey last night!. I got several issues from not reaching or keeping the selected temp. But also when I tried to restart the smoker I got a "Clean Grill" indication that prevent my smoker work even I have cleaned everything including sucking the fire pit. What would it be the problem? , Software?
I know it's been over a year since you've posted this, but did you ever figure out what that problem was for temperature swings? I had the same problem on the first use of my traeger while smoking a brisket, and the flame went out. The pellets piled up in the fire box, because the rod kept pushing the pellets in there. Pretty annoyed
great video. do you know why i had "grease" pouring down the RIGHT side of the grill next to the hopper???? i didn't even have "half" of the grease pan filled up. and, i clean the grill. Soooo i'm confused as to why this might happen. brand new traeger too. is it possible it's the gasket? do you have any thoughts? also, i love the foil trick on the aluminum pan. I will do that.
Do you have any suggestions on the brush I should get for my Traeger? I'm looking for the wood bristled brush and can't find it. Any help would be great. Also, I put the foil on the pan before I put it back in.
The bristles are wooden. The scraper on my brush is actually metal. I'm not a fan of the wooden block-type scrapers. I've tried them and they don't do a great job.

Dude has two black Caterpillars above his eyes 👀 Holy Smokes

Thanks Ronald. Good tips I took them all to heart!
Since this video, do you still have your Traeger grills? Oh, have you upgraded.
If you’re tired of the grease pail, we have the fix!
Good luck, God willing
Can you add a link for the brush you use, I'm having trouble finding it. Bruce
Still waiting for a reply
Wood bristle brush? Aren't the bristles still metal? I'm not familiar...
If some grease accumulated at the bottom of the treager, do you have any suggestions to remove it without spending 45 min? 😅
What about the grease trap?

Do you have suggestions for paint? Something you've tried? Getting some rust bubbles already on a 4 month old grill in the hot spots for the 885.
You can get high heat spray paint. It's meant for wood stoves, etc.
Big box home improvement stores carry it in the paint dept
Who makes that grill brush? Thx!
Try cooking an Indian style chicken recipe once with more ingredients.
Awesome video best of luck with your channel and good job thanks for sharing Have a wonderful day and good luck

After you clean the grill how do you turn the notice off to clean grill?
I just looked that up and Traeger says you can clear it. www.traegergrills.com/support/clean-grill-message
Menu> turn dial to settings> turn dial to clear notifications> press dial to select. Viola!
Why do you have three?

Perfect! I need to clean mine now. Do you use that flat wood scraper or are the brissles on your brush wood?
Wooden bristles for sure.
