@Punished Ghost Nobody is buying RE8 for the multiplayer. Nobody ever buys RE games for multiplayer. Although I hate the change to First Person, I still can't wait to play this new installment. I really dig the new Castlevania-inspired setting of RE8 & happy that the series is finally returning to the horror aspects of the series & not being a straight-up action game like RE6 was.

Oh yeah just using MySQL's built in search functionality works fine and you can almost guarantee they use MySQL for their database. I mean it's 172 games, you don't exactly need some amazing raid setup to sift through that list.
Yeah, it's pretty astounding they went this long without a search & it's downright laughable that it was a branch of Google that perpetuated the failure. TBH after like two pages of games, someone should have started on a search feature. I don't mind navigating through multiple pages, but [A] a lot of people are lazy about things like that & [B] it is annoying when you know exactly what you want, but have to click through 5 pages just to get to it when a search could expedite that process

They don't have to sit down and listen to all the conversations. I work for a company that makes call center software. A company can have 40,000 calls going on with agents and if a customer on one of them starts saying words that indicate they are upset, it will alert a supervisor and they can listen in on the phone call.
There is software they use to auto flag audio parts and note in logs. It is all automated and they keep backups in case need manual listen at those flagged times. Been like this for ages...

About the Bobby Kotick thing, he was still gonna get the bonuses regardless of the pay cut. But the pay cut does leave a lot of extra money at the company that they can pay their workers or finance their projects with. He's still getting overpaid an overwhelmingly large amount, but just to clarify that he's not taking a cut now so he can make more later. It's more of a PR thing while also appeasing the board of directors.
I've had Stadia for a few months now, and actually really dig it. Being able to take full-scale games on the go is absolutely amazing. It gets a lot of shit, but it'shonestlyreally cool. You don't need ridiculous internet speeds, and can use a regular Xbox controller and still get the same great experience. Hopefully, we eventually get all of the really dynamic features that they were originally planning for, but even as it stands, I highly recommend it for a gaming-on-the-go alternative.

Google with their budget of untold millions of dollars couldn't make something as basic as a search feature in over a year. Stadia was embarrassing to begin with, but this takes it to a new level, haha!

Toys for Bob, holy shit - they were started by the team that made STAR CONTROL! Good grief, Star Control 2 was one of the most amazing games I've ever played, and an absolute GEM of early 90s gaming. I'd put it right up there with gems like Syndicate on just how insane this game was for the time. They never quite hit something as good again (though the Skylanders series had some good moments), but Star Control 2 is right up there with the best games ever. So here's the thing, this honestly is because all the dumb people on twitter that can't handle words. It's the popular trend right now, protect everyone from everything. This makes it so that companies like Riot can come and do this, maybe if we weren't so fragile to have literal meltdowns from namecalling, then Riot wouldb't have an excuse to implement it. That's just my view though, Riot and other companies of the like will naturally prey on us if we open ourselves up to it.

Toys for Bob, holy shit - they were started by the team that made STAR CONTROL! Good grief, Star Control 2 was one of the most amazing games I've ever played, and an absolute GEM of early 90s gaming. I'd put it right up there with gems like Syndicate on just how insane this game was for the time. They never quite hit something as good again (though the Skylanders series had some good moments), but Star Control 2 is right up there with the best games ever. Check out the Ur-Quan Masters remaster.
