I particularly liked the advice on creating inside jokes and terms to foster a sense of belonging within the audience. I found the emphasis on engaging with listener questions for content improvement to be a practical tip. Thank you for highlighting the importance of encouraging participation and dialogue with listeners for a more engaging experience.
Glad it was helpful! A Newsletter is simple to execute. It doesn't need to be any fancy, most email providers these days (I use ConvertKit for example) will even host your web page with the opt in form on. So all you need to do is buy a domain 'YourPodcast.com' or 'YourPodcastNewsletter.com' - something thats easy to read out and easy for people to type into their browser, and point people towards it regularly.
Great tips Robert! I will surely implement them into my new podcast which is spoken in 100% slow English for intermediate and advanced learners of English who are planning on moving to Australia.
Love podcasting and creating content but it oftentimes feels overwhelming on where to start or what to focus time on. We have built a community using Circle and are trying to use the podcast to bring more people in. Love the tips on encouraging emailing questions outside of SM posting. Still struggling to get the number of listeners and hit the right audience.
Events are really popular in podcasting right now, people are also bringing in serious revenue by doing podcast tours. Newsletter is a given, yet so few podcasters still do one?! It's a great way to keep listeners updated with additional content or just to tease episodes.
Thanks for the advice just creating my own podcast

I've just subscribed to your channel and enjoying what I've seen so far. One question James, what camera or cameras to you use for your videos?
Thanks for the advice and tips, I particularly liked the Newsletter idea - think I could produce one as a regular summary of my podcast episodes🤔

Thanks so much. These seem obvious but are uncomfortable to execute when you are the host. Love the newsletter and love event idea.
