Yeah.... well the only thing you somehow forgot to tell is that X/5 Stars is NOT 5 Stars and you can only make an X/5 Stars into a 5/5 Stars Gem by sacrificing a 5 Stars Gem on it, therefore buying X/5 Stars Gems on the Market is utterly pointless. Correct me if i'm wrong and i delete my comment(if i see that), i saw it in some other UA-cam videos where someone sacrificed a 3/5 Stars to make a 2/5 Stars into a 3/5 Stars... If i'm right there is no point in buying anything on the Market that is not already 5/5 Stars, which is probably going to be impossible for f2p anyway. In your video its clear that currently a Bottled Hope 5/5 costs 64.000, with daily 300 Platinum income that currently takes 214 days, because why the hell would you sell other gems that are daily capped? If you do that you are just getting behind the ppl who don't... Its a flawed system, like everything else in this game. Not to mention that 214 days from now on the game is going to be entirely dead and the prices are going to be 10 times more if there is no limit on them.
The game is designed to gate your power progression but allows for unlimited amounts of spending money. Honestly the more I play the game the less desirable paying 2 win seems. I really think it’s best just to go through the motions and think of progressing your character inch by inch each day.
Agreed and the actual gameplay in grinding is pretty fun. No need to rush to spend thousands for the best legendary gems.
I think the only incentive to pay in my opinion it's so you don’t get destroyed on pvp. But the rest of the game it's manageable as a F2P.

@@NahualUlloa you can still PVP and enjoy the game as F2p. I'm always in the top for pvp and often MVP. Focusing on kills is not the only way to win in PvP :)
Even if u pay getting a 5 star gem through runes probably will take you thousands of dollars for how bad the drop rates are.
I wish the amount of fading embers you can get per week went up with paragon level. So that the higher lvl you are the more gems you can craft
So we know the odds of the FA rune conversion and I converted these odds into something understandable. For a 2/5* you're looking at 1 in every 24 weeks. For a 3/5* it's 1 in 90 weeks (1.7 years), for a 4/5* it's 1 in 449 weeks (8.6 years), and for 5/5* it's 1 in 1796 weeks (or 34.5 years). So on average you'll get 2 2/5* gems, 13 2* gems, and 37 1* gems a year. Thankfully these can be sold on the market, and at conservative current rates you'd be looking at around 120450 platinum a year before taxes (so probably around 110k). If you're capping out your daily 300 platinum (109,500/yr), that'd put you in the ballpark to purchase 1 5* gem off the market a year.
Edit: It's worth noting that you can do ~2.5 FA purchases a week for the guaranteed 1* gem. If you went this route and sold at an average of 850 platinum, you'd walk away with around 100k after taxes a year guaranteed (assuming prices don't drop over time, but if they do then so will the cost to buy so your buying power will remain).
Whats all the fuss about one per year and you only need 6 to max out your character, thats just 6 years of playing every day:)
@@bogroll1881 that’s assuming the price of gems doesn’t go down. If they do, then the daily platinum you get will increase in buying power while the gems you sell (while technically less) will hold the same buying power as now. So if the cost of the 5* star gems were to, say, halve, then you could expect 2 a year. It’s still not great but there is hope for it. Also I think most builds will do just fine with only 2-3 5* gems. I’m running Stafe Demon Hunter and there are some 1 and 2 star gems I just don’t see being worth replacing for 5 star gems (outside of the gain in CR, but not the effect).
It doesn’t make much sense to buy 1 or 2 star gems on the market when any f2p player can run rare crest elder rifts daily for more runes. I’ve been able to get the runes for every 1 star gem I’ve wanted to craft. What I predict is the market for 1-2 star gems is going to completely dry up, and all you will see being sold are 3, 4, and 5 star gems at ridiculous prices

@@plops993 That's not a good prediction. Every 1 and 2 star gem is worth 1 gem power and 4 gem power respectively and whales and FTP a like will need them to rank up any of their gems. So they will always have value on the market but some of the 1 stars and 2 stars will have higher value as the effect of that gem is desired for a lot of players say: Power and Command... or Carsens Invigoration etc. And you will need copies of those gems as well as a lot of fodder to rank up your copies of them etc. There will be sweet spot of platinum... I would guess around 500-600 Platinum that it will settle at for most 1 star gems. Players as they amass platinum will find it much easier on the pocket book in a few months to go to the market and grab 10 or 40 1 star gems they need as fodder for an upgrade rather than spamming elder rifts with cash. If they already have the gems they want in slot including 5 stars etc whales will probably just buy platinum rather than legendary crests and use that platinum to purhcase the fodder they need etc. FTP players can do it slower with 1 and 2 star gems but they can do it too... but only useing farmed platinum of course.
Odds: for 5/5* it's 1 in 1796 weeks (or 34.5 years) - This game will not last until the end of the summer

Veiled Shot youtuber just posted a vid describing how 5 star gem resonance is going to ruin pvp. The improvement to your stats is not capped like combat rating is. Meaning whales will have +100% to their gear attributes, which is NOT capped in pvp. Basically, we’re all screwed
I honestly feel they should give you the chance to buy regular legendary crests for platinum, like, I don't know, 500 a pop? Limit it to 10 per week or sumthin?
you have to pick and choose what u want to do as f2p save up for a decent 3star which will be 50-80k plat or use the plat to upgrade your gems and use fa runes for a chance at a good gem
As FTP you are better off going for 3 or 4 x 2 Star gems and upgrading them.
You will get faster CR and resonance progression that way.
Some of the 5 star gems are very strong though, and apparently it’s not too hard to get them to rank 2
About time. Everyone else wants to talk about how much money it takes to level up without playing the game... Now we finally get some coverage on actually playing the game.
And this is why I stopped playing. Virtually zero progression end game ftp. Was a really fun game up until lvl 60. I haven’t logged on since, I mean what’s the point? An infinite grind for mere crumbs… I know it’s designed that way so u spend lol I’m a true Diablo gamer… u make progression and end game 100% tied to money we just won’t play the game. Once d4 drops this game will die and the only ppl who continue to play it at that point are the ones who spent lots of money will still play
I think you are somewhat correct. This game was designed to be a more casual game. I think it will last with some of the more die hard diablo fans (Like me) who don't have a ton of time to play a diablo title anymore (also like me) Some of the systems and features in the game are fun. But I agree many people will leave this game when D4 drops. Because why play this uber grindy game with little reward for your efforts when there will be a full blown fresh Diablo Title out that hopefully you just pay one price out of box and a price here or there for future expansions and that's it. Most the fans will go to D4. But I think some people that like playing this on their phones will stay. I don't know why a PC player would though.

And it is fun like I said, but once your 60 there is nothing drawing me back….. absolute trash loot drops, even treasure goblins just give a tiny amount of gold…. I’ve killed a bunch of goblins and only ever got gold… sad… wasted opportunity. It’s not designed as a casual game, u have forced daily activities u must do or miss out on rewards… no Diablo has ever been like that, u would log on and grind however u felt like. No set of forced crap each day, no diminishing drops once u get 6 good drops etc they are so far off what a Diablo game is it’s not funny, it’s really depressing tbh

I think as a F2P 1 star is the most efficient way to go at first cause they’re cheaper to rank up. 5 star is just unreasonable.

Hello , I have a question , Does the same Magic Attribute Item Stack on different item or not ? for example i have. a head and armor have the same magic attribute is it better to switch to different magic attribute or it does stack together and come up stronger ?

Best option imo: Craft spells and random 1* legendary gems for 7 FA (+ farm as many regular tradable gems as possible) to buy the gems you want on the marketplace...
Probably, but depends on the chance to random a 5 star gem. And nobody seems to know the actually chance of randoming, since Blizzard doesn’t provide that info for some reason… perhaps intentionally
@@hwago123 As far as I know from datamining sources, it's around 75% to draw a 1*, 15% - 20% to draw a 2* and the rest is for "x out of 5*" gems, with a 5* gem having a chance of about 0.05%

Another good way to get f2p plat is skill stones, use those daily simple charms to upgrade one and once it hits 5, extract and sell, easy 1500-2k

My last 2 limited time hilts trader didn't have rare crest for sale, where since launch I've had it every single time it switched. Did they nerf this too?

You can aquire legendary crests from the battle pass at level 20 or the hilts trader once monthly. I believe the legendary crests give a 0.5% chance of dropping a 5 star legendary at the end of an elder rift but that the gem is not tradeable.
the crafting of the 5* is very low and you will most likely get a 1* from it. the chances are about the same as a leg crest chance to drop a 5*. only thing is these are market sellable.
You would most def benefit from using those embers to craft others due to the set amount of embers weekly. Saving platinum is by far the best f2p way to get a 5* by selling normal gems u don't care for and I would advise u save until u can get a min 3/5 to 5/5 star gem instead of impulse buying a 2/5. just keep watch for the gems and use whales to your benefit!!
i got a 2/5 star from my embers yesterday. maybe just luck, maybe the odds are better than leg crest?
So 2 weeks of grinding to get a single chance at a decent gem, or spend money to get many purple crests to get a legendary each time, or if you have eternal ones, one you can sell... you can see that this mechanism is just a way to keep people people playing, but having 26 chances or so A YEAR for a good gem sucks.
Other games would have given you multiple crests just for linking your bnet account or something. Not possible for f2p to catch up.
also, you have decent three-star gems going for 92,000 platinum right now on my server. 5s might go for like 350k plus. Do you really think someone is going to be able to buy a five-star gem for free? getting like 300 to 1,000 Platinum a day? again, I hate to say it but it's not even worth mentioning this method because it is so tough for f2p. remember even if you get a five-star how do you upgrade it? with what?

If you don’t need it anymore and you’ve already extracted it and you have left over duplicates take it to the black smith. He gives a material that you need to upgrade gear to level 6
I only am able to craft 1 star, there is no option for 2 star or random , does this only become available after a certain level or some other means?
you can buy 1 leg crest in hilts trader per month and 2/3 rare crest daily

do not craft random gem. The crest costs the same amount of FA and has the same chances as the craft, the difference is the crest will add to your 5* pity number
Much rather have a level 5 1 star gem, or level 3 2 star gem than just a level 1 5 star gem.

i crafted a 5 star gem my very first try, i never have that kinda luck. But it costs a ton to upgrade.
The drop rate for the gems is absolutely ridiculous, I feel like there’s really no point even trying to farm them and save for other shit

well, I'm also saving the legendary crests I get from Shadow wars, the Hitls trader and other rewards, to make a 10 crests run, it is also gonna take a while and is only a possibility but, well... there are around 600 paragon, so I got time lol
The odds sound similar to trying to pull a legendary champ from an Ancient shard. I wonder if we will ever get the equivalent of a Sacred shaft that will give only 2star and up or 3 star and up? Perhaps some a rarer rune that drops at certain times. 1 per week against a specific boss. Something like that. Need additional avenues to 5-star gems besides Legendary Crest RNG, crafting and marketplace.

You are missing the biggest platinum farm in the game. Party up and get 6 regular gems a day. Hypothetically you can get 100 to 400 platinum per gem. You use hilts to buy your gems you use and sell the ones you farm. This is because it's easier to farm hilts than farm platinum. You can also play the market and buy low cost gems that someone put up to sell fast and resell for a higher price.
playing the market is hard, the store takes 15% fee

I got a 5 star chip on my necro from a 3 leg crest last night. Haven't bought any or did or used any legendary crests on that character. I just assume I won the lottery. It'll be the only one I probably ever get.
40x Telluric Pearls can craft a 5 star, but getting them will take ages.

I was hoping there was a way to combine the same type legendary gems together.
I hate how you can only get 3 5Star gem chances a MONTH. I recommend the plat method since a smart player can just get it guaranteed from the market, and you get to choose which ones you earn.
On seller screen 2:43, click on information icon to see random odds:
1 star(quality 1): 75%,
2 star (quality 2): 20%,
5 star(quality 2): 3,3%,
5 star((quality 3): 0,9%

Don't do this as ftp. Level 1 star maybe 2 star. You will not be able to level a 5 star. You need 70+ of the same gem and the gem power to level a 5 star.

HELP ME PLEASE! Hey dude. I can't find the answer anywhere else, so I thought I'd ask you. I've been playing on mobile and want to play my same character on pc. How do I do that? I open the game on my computer and no prompt pops up, and supposedly a prompt that asks if I've played on mobile is supposed to. I use the same battle net account on both PC and mobile so I'm unsure how to proceed. It's super annoying..
on server slection screen top left corner login and sync with battlenet and if you dont do that on both wont link. if you've already done that and its notw orking make sure its same battlenet account, thats all i got.

im saving my 7 regular legendary crest and 3 eternal legendary crest (that i craft with 22 fa rune each) and then run the elder rift using 10 of them
and endup got 1 (2 - 5 star legendary gem) the howlers call and 2 of (2 star legendary gem) and then 7 (1 star legendary gem)

I duno if blizzard will secretly increase the chances to obtain 4-5stars gem tru normal leg crest for those f2p or those low spender. This will temp those f2p to actually spend $$$ to level it.

You have like 4.5% chance to have a 5 stars gems.
If you want to have a 5 stars with 5/5 quality, you have 0.045% chance to have one. So yeah, it's "possible", but "don't you all have wallet?"
it should take about 2000 crafts, or 3000 fucking WEEKS on average to get a 5/5 star. comes out to be about one every 57.5 fucking years.

I like to imagine to be isekai'd in this world. You are fucked up not because of the enemy but because in order to get more power, you need real money.
This 200 cap is what grinds my gears. Meanwhile you can buy as many crests as you can afford with no limits.
In my server we can get 400 fading ember and craft one legendary crest every week...
Dude... You can ONLY make 3, maybe 4 legendary random gems per MONTH, if you try extra hard. ANd even then, it would take you 7-8 months to MAYBE get a 5 out of 5 star legendary gem.... IF you play 12 hours every day
I sell al the gens I get in dungeons, skill stones, and maybe a legendary gen if it's worth it. Hopefully by 2023 I get that 5 star.
You can also sell skill stones, Currently i have sold 10 skill stones at 2-2500 depending on the skills. But i am not rolling them just for that i am trying to get something better than what i have currently just so happens it hasn't happened yet, But i have hit some good skills so the reason they are going for the price. Currently sitting at 19k plat from skill stone sails alone, The other thing Any gem that isn't damage normal gem do not crangle them into each other. Keep the ones you get that have the Market symbol on it and upgrade them or sell them at level 1, i been selling armor pen gems lvl 2 for 850 a pop over 10 of those, Resil is most likely the next highest or potency seems to be day by day but lvl 2 of those going for 700-730 sold around 5 of those so far. Making plat isn't too difficult you have the whales in the game so go do some whale hunting. But in a week least for me mind you on my server i made little over 30k plat, Not a astounding amount mind you but just proof it can be done.

@@robosergTV Farm what exactly? We talking about Normal gems, or Charms to create Skill stones.
If it is Charms they have a random chance to drop from world bosses got two from them one was ancient and the other was from hydra, Mostly they just drop randomly from the world. If you wanna know about Normal gems farm in a 4 man group in any open world where you can kill a crap ton of monsters. Hope this helped.
Prices on your server are MUCH lower than my server. Also there are many more available. Also, the market is fulfilled by the system some and not just by the players. I am curious if it buys gems as well or just the players. Very manipulated imo. Anyway, good video pointing this out. 5 star gems are for whales OR long term goals of free to play. For myself as a casual, I will not invest in 5 star gems until I am 100% on the class I want to focus on and that wont happen until they add class change system in.

That’s the method I have been working on for the past week.
If the game was fo used on single player this would be amazing, everyone would have a different experience, but you are forced to join to other people.
Other players kick you from party for not placing p2w crest, in pvp u get destroyed by whales 8/10 times.
They really know how to make you feel useless, but guess what? They are very kind showing you the store every time they can, just getting dayli rewards blast you with options to spend money.
When are you going to match people who pay to win? How is it fair?

No need to put a cap,increase Drop rates and make things accessable by grinding u don't have to make it so common that it loses its rarity but make it available to F2P players.One thing they need to change is remove platinum from the shop and make it so it dosent have a cap,maybe there can be mission like kill 1000 mobs for 300 platinum or some shit like that

Whats the point of even trying to get 5* gem as f2p? You will never be able to upgrade it no matter what…this way it would be much more valuable to rank up the best 1* gems to rank 10 and then work for 2* rank 10 gems…and even this would take such a long time, basically its waste of resources to even try to get 5*, unless you drop it for free randomly
I think you forgot the normal way of Legendary Crests. They might increase the amount we are able to get over a month I hope. I think Shadow War also gives some in addition to the hilts vendor.

just bought my first 5 star roll with embers and got a 1 star haha.
