BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY DURING THE GOLDEN HOUR | How to get the shot

- We spent a few days on the island of Grimsey photographing birds, mostly puffins during the golden hour. Grimsey is our favorite location for wildlife photography. Here we share how to capture the puffins in the midnight sun conditions. These were relaxing and nice evenings doing what we love: bird photography.

Yea, a new video. Your videos are very motivating and inspiring. I started wildlife photography last year during the summer holidays and it's such a great hobby (I'm 14 years old)! I decided to try UA-cam 2 months ago, but it's harder than I thought. Keep up the good work, stay as you are and happy new year to all of you 👍🏼😉
Yes, that's right.
I think so too! I see, 7 more subscribers and you have 500. Good luck. I think you will soon👍🏼😉 I subscribed

Love this video. Because I was there, I'm able to testify that this captures the atmosphere of this evening perfectly. There is something really special about Grímsey, especially when the conditions are so beautiful as during this evening. Keep it up!

Stunning images again! I'm glad that you included your multiple efforts to achieve them. Many people do not understand the skill, time, patience and perseverance that it takes to create those breathtaking photos.
Thank you Stephen. As you know, mistakes are the best lessons. Most of the time we fail. It is just a part of the whole thing.
Absolutely stunning scenery and wildlife.

Those long summer nights seem a long way off, on these short winter days. Great vlog. It looks like heaven 👍. Happy new year to you both from Britain 👍
Happy new year! Yes, it is strange to publish this video now when the dark winter is dominant, but makes you look forward to the summer.
fantastic ! thank you for sharing
Our pleasure!
Thank you. 👍📷😎
Thank you too!
What a great footage. I am also a bird photographer and planning to visit İceland in the first week of March. Any chance for puffins at early March? What would you advise me to focus on that season for birds as the most? Thanks for sharing.
Sorry, no, the puffins arrive early in April. The first week of March is too early for puffins. You will see many other species, but not the puffins.
@@GudmannAndGyda Dear Gudmann and Gyda, thank you so much. I am glad to see you are agreat inspiration for me and wife to make the birding together as couples and trying my wife to push the same direction as well. There are signs that she seem to be enjoying as well. I am always having a great break during watching your videos. One question as a favour please; for the first week of March, is there any spot you can advise to visit and spend for bird photography for maybe a half day with a rental car anywhere in the island as best to visit? Thank you and all the best.
Öldugangur er no-go í þessum bransa.
another great video! that photo at 13:34 is a favorite! I like how you can subtly see the colors of the puffins but it's also still a very nice silhouette shot. Thumbs up guys!
What is the best time do go to Grimsy island for puffins , Mai June July?
And can you stay for a couple days on the island ?
Greeting from Belgium
The puffins arrive to Grimsey in April and they leave around 12th of August. June and July is a good time if the weather is good... and yes, there are three guesthouses there plus a small camping site.
@@GudmannAndGyda ok thanks , keep up the good work
