You should always wash the car before wiping anything on it. It will prevent dirt from scratching the paint. And anything you wipe the paint with should have some sort of lubrication.
This product is specifically marketed as a waterless cleaner. It is insanely smooth as you are rubbing it on and after, so I think it would do a good job of picking up dirt and stuff as you wipe. But yes, I personally would rather wash it first.
I'm sure it would help, but I think the point is it's supposed to be easy to use. They don't even want you to wash the car first! I am happy with the results tho for sure.
Dirty Tesla Correct. I meant to clay bar if you wanted to take things to the next step. It’s a time consuming process but the results are amazing. I plan on clay barring my non-Tesla once a year. My MX has a full PPF so I can’t clay bar that one
Dirty Tesla I’ve used products from Griot’s Garage since their local for me and offer classes but there are other options out there that are less expensive. My ICE car had a lot of metal particles in the paint because of where I work. I wish I would have done before and after photos or something but it was a major difference. Granted, that car was about 2 years old at the time.
Traditional waxes last anywhere from three to nine months, so I would expect this to last at least three months and hopefully longer. My car is also treated pretty poorly as you can see, and it seemed my synthetic wax was still having some effect
One quick tip: before applying any kind of new coating (even if you think your previous one is worn out), it's good to use a wash that will be sure to remove all the last bits of your last protectant. I use Wash Plus from Meguiars ( smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M5JZJYQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). It also helps to do some very minor polishing as part of the wash and it's really easy to use.
Dirty Tesla, the car looks really clean but now you have to do something with your tires. I use the product 303 AEROSPACE PROTECTANT on vinyl especially on the dash under the window, for rubber tires etc, also it protects everything from UV.
i used to be an exeutive director for dry-wash and guard out of las vegas and you would spray it on a dirty veh, wipe it off and it would last for one year, and 4 applications out of one bottle so one bottle would last 40 mos.Roncerelli The villages , fla.
@@DirtyTesla Sounds like a plan. The Rhino shine is great for a quick shine in the dry, it doesn't even need to be buffed, just mist it on and leave it for 30 mins. I like it on the bike. Rhino Goo (!, yes really) is also a great cleaner.
I noticed on the hood on the left there was a reflection of the peak of your house which looks blurry while the reflection of a tree on the right (treated) side looks clear. I also noticed on the left the water pools and basically remains while on the right (treated) side the pooling is seen at first but disappears ~ same on the side on the doors. I don't quite trust that such a product gives a ceramic coating. I'd rather take a vehicle somewhere that does it.
It basically gives you a temporary ceramic effect I would call it. It definitely isn't true ceramic coating but has some of the same properties at least temporarily. I also found it was really good for hiding swirls and small scratches in the clear coat.
@@DirtyTesla I disagree. PPF is one of the single biggest things you can do to maintain the value of your car and the condition of your paint. It's pricy, but it's cheaper than repainting your car when you get heavily rock chipped. But to each their own.
@@GregoryVeizades I don't think you will ever get that money back. If you plan to repair all your paint before you sell the car, sure, perhaps you have an argument. But by spending $5k on PPF, my car will not be worth $5k more when I go to sell it.
They don't say anything about ceramic or PPF. If you have ceramic, there are specific cleaners/resealers you should be using. PPF I don't think it would hurt, but again if ask the installer. It doesn't leave any haze at all. And it's not permanent either way. I did actually end up putting it on my back up camera as water stick to it so much, but I didn't get a chance to test it yet.
I wonder if it will have any affect on ice freezing to the windshield over winter or not. Always the worst thing about winter is scraping the windshield.
Yes you can do that. But it's also to help you clean the car if it's not too dirty. Tbh I don't think it lasted more than a few weeks so you may wash it away depending on what kind of wash you do
I have been begging someone to do a full review of the Proje Ceramic Coating... The only real reviews are from the company... Can you please do one on this product... It seems to be a decent product but I don't know... A professionals review should help.... I hope you read this and consider this product for your review
Good review however the only critique here is when you did the water test you just barely sprayed it and if you did it for longer like rain does you would have seen better results on that test, I use this product and I do like it. Other than that good review. Thanks
definately make a follow up on how good it helps you with cleaning the car (if it does make it easier etc) and how long it's in effekt (i'm debating what to get and since ppf is really expensive and time consuming thats not really an option before the winter .. if at all for the near future)
