I’m sorry but I had to laugh threw the end part of this video. Oh the dramatics of it all jerz man! HELP ME , HELP ME !
He is too much he always makes me 😂Lol!😂😂😂😂😂😂
How about trying a compromise and give him a 1/4 cup of milk 🥛 opposed to an entire cup but still continue telling him that he can have more when he wakes up but for bed time he can only have just a little bit and again explain why to him. Maybe with getting a taste of it , he will get it out of his system and off of his mind . We all parent our kids different and we do what works for our families so this was just a suggestion you might want to try and it might work.
Oh and Justin when u were in the girls room and u was talking about being tired 😴, you actually did look tired . Get some rest we can’t have fashiondad2020 looking exhausted lol🤷🏼‍♀️

This was my granddaughter EVERY night. So to compromise, I would tell her she could have a sip of water and she started asking for a little tiny sip of water. Using her finger gesture and everything. I thought I would die of laughter. But I compromised and gave her a couple of swallows worth of water in her cup and she's satisfied. Goes right too sleep. And doesn't wet the bed. I tried cold turkey first and that totally didn't work for us. Maybe if he gets a small swallow of milk, just a taste, he'll be ok. You know him better though. Maybe that won't work for him. But it totally worked for me. She's three now and still asks for her sip of water before bed. She never wets the bed though. I make her go to the bathroom just before she lays down and as soon as she wakes up and she's good. 😍🥰💖💕

Jersey is going through the "Adjustment" of change. In fact, the whole family is going through the "process" of his change and soon he will have developed out of this transition and into another dependency in his own time. We all depend on something even if it is soft, clean sheets in a dark quiet room. His taste buds misses the taste of milk at bedtime, his mind misses the comfort that milk gave him at bedtime because of the taste and memories of how good milk has tasted throughout his life, milk reminds him of the comforts of his world which lulls him to sleep. His belly misses the fulfillment of the "milk kind" of nutrition at bedtime, etc. Milk at bedtime was a whole nightly event to him. It was his bedtime world. Jersey depended on his milk to give him the comfort of what made EVERYTHING just right in his mind at bedtime and that was not just the milk but it was also the experience he personally had in his mind which created the atmosphere, in his room from having the milk. He misses that whole experience of relaxation in this period of letting go of the milk to grab hold of something else even if that something else is just , turn off all of the lights to make it completely dark in the room for comfort ( I am not saying that making the room dark will be his "exchange" but he will gravitate to something for comfort that relaxes him... We all do.) There is a whole transition taking place into a whole new adjustment and new normal. Soon his mind will learn to understand that "change" and adjustment is apart of life! Everyone with him in the house is experiencing this with him. Because of LOVE, they will help him to get through this learning experience...which is simply called Growing pains!😊...Yes Yes yes... They will
ALL get through this one, together, hands down!...And thumbs UP!👍

I screamed out for my parents (just like Jersey did) because I knew they were the only people who made me feel safe. I was too overwhelmed with fear to self-pacify. So my mother would stay in my room until I fell asleep. Sometimes she would tell me a story, sing, or just gently pat me on my back. Leaving the light on helped me too!

The most successful way to break a habit is to replace it with a new habit. Jersey is a somatic person, so rhythms and rituals give him more meaning than words. Let him choose, not each time but a one-time event of choice: an extra story, a song together, or a piece of banana instead of milk. Make a little ritual out of it. Something quiet that's new and satisfying for him. It's more about his routine than the milk itself.

Sometimes it's just plain tough growing up. Milk has Melatonin in it and so it does tend to help you go to sleep. Jersey seeing his sisters and exerting all of that energy just before bedtime probably keeps him from yawning and drifting off to sleep. He is a good boy.

👶🏽👶🏽👶🏽My baby was the Same way. I made bath time close to bed time as possible.
and started natural melatonin drops right after dinner and BEFORE the bath.
Once he got that pattern down i stopped the drops and lowered the temp so the blanket warmth felt like a swaddle.
Liquid normally takes about 20 minutes to past.
So give a drink right after dinner with drops. so when they run around after dinner the bath is an easy transition to bed.
Its non habit forming and 100 percent natural.🌻🌻

When my son was 13 months old (he's 36 now 🤗), I walked him to the incinerator chute, to throw away all his bottles. We waved bye bye to them, and that was it. He drank from a cup from that point on. When he turned 2 , I started toilet training him by not giving him anything to drink after 6pm. He went to bed at 8pm, and was asleep in 3 minutes. The room was dark, and he was in there alone. I used to carry him out of bed at midnight, and take him to the toilet to pee. His diaper would be dry every morning. The only time he wet the bed, was the one time I forgot to get him up. His babysitter potty trained him during the day while I was at work, and I did my part at night. He didn't need diapers during the day or night, by the time he was 2yrs 9mos old. When my nephew was 2 years old, he complained about "the doggy's eyes" when my sister put him to bed. Weeks later, she realized the eyes from one of his stuffed toys looked red from the light that rested on it at night. Most of us adults have a good grasp on what's real and what's imaginary. A young child who is learning about life, lacks judgment, and everything in their world is their reality. Jersey's fear can be legitimate. His blanket critters come to life when he's half asleep. How about you give him bedding that doesn't have "monsters" on it? He needs to feel safe. A night light will help him see there's nothing lurking around in his room. Take it from me, someone who was a bedwetter until I was 10 years old, and slept with the covers pulled over my head.

Jersey has so many monster trucks that I'm surprised that one wasn't in his room already. Or even a car. Parents, may I ask that you put a monster truck and car in his room so it can be available when he asks for it at bedtime. The monster truck could have been the answer to your prayer and saving grace. They represent something he's familiar with and that gives him comfort. Also, he needs it to hold onto while going through the transition. I believe that Jersey will have a very successful transition. Sending you best wishes McClure Family. Stay safe.

My father designed/ created the “Rail Runner” as a Model Maker before Computer Aided Drafting, for Mattel. It was a train that played music as it slowly traveled from one end of a crib rail to the other. It sold well. If they are still available, maybe it would help.😯. 💡💡💡💡💡many parents use a bedtime story... some use a prayer, that my four siblings and I would say in bed with my mom. It was soooo relaxing after a bath and it taught me to feel ... that though I couldn’t see God, He was there to protect me. Roughhousing before bed just winds up an already overly tired body and MIND. Milk relaxes... but then he pees his sheets... So...what actions are successful? Which aren’t? Have you ever tried to sleep after a workout? Have you ever gad a warm bath before bed? A story til you fell asleep?

I breastfeed my daughter almost 2 years and everynight she had to have milk to go to sleep. Mind you, I still had plenty of milk but she was getting older and needed to be transition into a big girl (and other reasons). So everynight before bed time, I would give her a cup of cow's milk and sat at the dining table. After she finished, brushed teeth and off to bed. Eventually, I extended drinking cow's milk an hour before bed time, then an hour and a half, sometimes I purposely didn't give it to her when she's busy and forgot about it. It went on for about 6 months. of course she was still a baby and still needed milk but in the morning for breakfast, I always give her a cup of cow's milk. I truly hope you guys do what feels right for you, if you're happy to have jersey drink milk a little bit longer......that's ok. he's probably not ready. maybe in few months time he may be. You guys are doing amazing. I hope this helps! All the best and stay safe!
