Today, we're taking a look at the latest new 2024 motorcycles to be released from Honda in this most recent model lineup announcement that not only includes the 2024 Transalp XL750 adventure motorcycle but also the 2023 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP sport bike. 10 grand is good! But they give us the worst color, if we're only to get one color should have been the white and blue

I'm glad I didn't wait for the Transalp, which we should've had last year. No cruise, no tubeless and no colors. Honda also screwed up by not letting us have the NT1100. I went with the large Versys and the Kawi makes me very happy!
Oh yeah, we definitely should've had this thing last year! Dragging out the release like this and limiting color options etc, is without a doubt going to limit what its sales could have been here in the states.
Heck yeah, congrats on the new Versys! Obviously, I'm a Honda fan boy but those are awesome bikes and glad to hear you're enjoying it.

lol that was my exact reaction! I'm having a difficult time wrapping my head around the idea that Honda thought most buyers would opt towards the black color option on this bike but hey, maybe they've got some internal data saying that's the case. Judging by what I've seen on the internet though since it's release, there's not many people happy about the black but there are a LOT of people unhappy about not having the white. It's going to be interesting to see how sales pan out though and if they hit the numbers that Honda was hoping for.

I looked at a cl500 to size up what I thought a cl750 would look like... and man Honda is absolutely the worst manufacturer for stock exhaust
I hear ya bud, I don't recall seeing that many people wanting to get their hands on the black whereas most of the comments I've seen we're hoping for the white. Maybe they've got some data saying their customers want black but I'm having a difficult time believing that from what I've seen online. It's going to be interesting to see how it all pans out though and if it has the sales success they're hoping for here in the US.

I love the matte black and the price but PLEASE give it tubeless wheels and cruise control!

Oh yeah, tubeless would be nice and why they don't have cruise control on a TBW bike like this baffles me! I'd almost bet money we'll see it in a couple years though when it's time for the mid cycle refresh to brush up new interest but still, it should have it right now when stacked up against its current competition.

Maybe they have some magical data that says otherwise though and that most of their customers want black but I'm having a difficult time believing that.

Yes a little update, I'm in canada and apparently we are only getting the black as well. Thats a disappointment for me, but it's not a deal breaker. I really like the reviews, its quite suitable for my type of use.
Why is it black???? They were so adventurous last year with the Green CB500X, and every person who has seen my 22' CB500X has complimented the color! Why would you want to make your gorgeous new bike so dark and drab???
Because Honda hates North America.... seriously try to come up with any other reason for why they do what they do...
Yessir, to say that it baffles me and many others is a massive understatement! Who knows, maybe they've got some magical internal data showing that the vast majority of Transalp buyers in the US want black but if we go by most of the comments I see around the internet - that's not the case. I still think it'll do well here in the states but in my opinion, the white color scheme would've been the smart choice.
Speaking of your CB500X, you still enjoying that thing? And oh yeah, that Pearl Organic Green paint on yours is definitely something that catches people's attention!

Well, i suppose it could be a case of only the unhappy people speak out, so i suppose its possible that its a very popular color, but without giving options to people, its hard to have any real data from actual buyers.
Oh, i love my 22' CB500X. She's got about 16k miles on her so far. Had a big trip on the east coast back in June (i'm Missouri based) and am getting ready to ride west next month for the eclipse to view it in Four Corners. Doing some motorcycle camping, star gazing, adventure riding, leaf peeping in the rockies on the way back. Just loving the dream.
Just don't get me started on how much i love my Motoz tires. The amount of milage i'm getting out of them is insane.

Would I be correct in assuming that the black color isn't going to stop you from snatching one up?
Personally, I wouldn't ever let a color stand in my way of getting a particular bike if I really wanted it because it's easier than ever to change it up. I can understand where a lot of people wouldn't want to jump through the hoops though as you've really got to love the bike to do that and or to just look past the color in general, if it's not your favorite.

They forgot to mention the 2024 Honda Grom should have a recall on it. Some engines are experiencing counter shaft issues and yet Honda hasn’t addressed it
It's going to be interesting to see how all of that pans out as it seems we're seeing more and more people post about that issue as time passes...
I guess this is a test run for the US market on the Transalp. Maybe if they’re gobbled up then next year more options? I think both of the excluded colors are better than the matte black (but I still like it)
Hopefully so but I think they're shooting themselves in the foot by not only delaying it almost an entire year but then offering up what seems to be one of the least popular colors, if we're going off the internet's feedback etc. It's just not helping the bike's case in what is already a very competitive segment right now. I still think it'll do well but in my opinion, they're crazy if they think this black would outsell the white here in the US!

@@HondaProKevin let alone the colors which are obviously not quite pleasing to to the 👀 of many Honda fans. The most disappointing thing with this Transalp 750 beside the reduce horsepower in the Us market & it's boring design is the tires they have chosen.
It's not quite suited for Adventure rides compare to the KTM or even Yamaha Tenere & Suzuki V-strom. They should have at least fitted a better type of tires with more grip especially on the rough terrain. As we know if you go to adventure it's not all the time you are riding on the tarmac.
WHY DOES HONDA HATE NORTH AMERICA ????? Remember when Honda had multiple colors ? It seems like Honda begrudgingly sells motorcycles because their accountants MAKE them.

You hit the nail on the head there bud, it all comes to meeting our regulations here in the US. Thankfully it'll be an easy fix with a flash of the ECU though to get that power back but still, another step to get what everyone else has around the world.

Ugh... yet ANOTHER black bike? C'mon, Honda... we Americans aren't colorblind, and we actually prefer some variety in our visual pallette! Why can't we get that tasty white, blue, and red colorway that's plastered all over the worldwide advertisements?!
I'm probably going to buy one anyway, but its plastics might have a little accident with some Plasti Dip... or maybe a midnight encounter with some vinyl wrap and a heat gun! 🤣👍 --QM

lol I know bud, it's crazy! Typically, we get the "main" colorway that's used in advertising but it looks like Honda thinks we'd rather have black for some odd reason. Who knows though, maybe they've got some magical internal data showing that most buyers for the Transalp want black but I'd bet big $$ that white would outsell black any day of the week. All I know is, I want to sit down with the people making these decisions and find out why they do this versus that as from the outside looking in, it would have to be interesting because a lot of us think they make some wonky decisions lol and I'd love to know their entire thought process behind it all.

I've thought about trying my hand at wrapping stuff a few times but then I'll watch a video of someone trying it for the first time and seeing the outcome, paired up with the frustrations they went through... and it has me second guessing ever wanting to try, to save my own sanity lol!

I am looking for mid range ADV bike. I love my other Honda's I have had. I wish this had cruise control, other colors. A DCT would be nice as well. If its a cost issue add a few $$ to it as a option/upgrade. The Africa Twin is a great bike but still a little big for more advanced offroad for me.
White was the logocal choice for so many reasons, nod to Transalps of past and American colors... disappointed they only offer black and $10k is kinda high given equipment it comes with...
Would love to have the Translap 750 but in the White/Blue/Red color combo. The Matte color blends in with pavement make it very hard to see invisible.
Transalp: Great price! Bad color! C’MON Honda! Black Stinks!! I guess I’ll have to wait at least another year to buy one.
Yessir, they nailed almost everything and then dropped the ball big time when it comes to only giving us that one option! If you're really wanting one and don't want to wait another year though, I'd dig into what those plastics cost as some of them are a lot cheaper than you'd expect. Then you could turn around and sell those black plastics and recoup most of your money but just a thought.

I suspect Honda would rather you buy an Africa Twin, but it’s more likely that people will visit the Suzuki dealer instead…
And the sad part is, you can't even buy a 2023 Africa Twin in the states lol!

But frankly, i think I'd pay $9999 for a pink one. Seems like an amazing value at that price point. If simplifying the body panel and wheel manufacturing process is what it takes to get to that price point then I'm all for it.
I canceled my reservation because of the limited color. Honda would have had another sale if they released the transalp in white. Hopefully they can soon. The reduction in power was a disappointment but I still would have ordered one in white.
Probably stated elsewhere, but a complete graphics kit and dealers keeping the bikes at or near msrp will go a long way.
Why gimp the horsepower? I'm sure I can find a Vstrom 800 on sale at the end of the riding season for the same price.
I'll wait for more color selection and the tuner kits to come out. Also want to see what is keeping them ponies in check and how to turn them loose! A Rally version would be pretty awesome in my humble opinion. Not interested in waited another 4-5 years for it either! I've waited long enough! I'm buying next year, and Honda may not be the bike of choice!
Not bad actually is like a cheaper version of the africa twin🤔need to see more reviews...and hope it has a gps like the africa twin👌🏻 and at least usb port and goodies to make the adventure easy👌🏻
What is the difference between transalp 750 and the nc 750?
Ahhh, now that's a good question and not one that can be answered simply as there are a LOT of things that set them apart due to them not sharing really anything in common with each other. Despite them sharing an engine size but that's where the similarities end. I would suggest checking out my past NC750X and Transalp videos as we dive into what makes each of them special in their own ways but in short, the Transalp is better in every way with significantly more horsepower, better suspension, more tech, more capable off-road and the list keeps going BUT the NC does have a DCT transmission, so that's a major selling point for a lot of people, as is the lower seat height on the NC.

I don’t care about the color and since I got mine a month ago and the power is still incredible.
Probably not going to be in the stable with my Africa Twin and 300L. For me to take on BDR trips across the country I need cruise control and throttle locks just don't cut it. Hopefully and addition in a year or so if enough folks request it.
Are the CB650R/CB1000R going away?
Matt black works for me. What doesn’t work for me is, unlike the Africa Twin, it appears Honda is only offering a single version? In my seventies now and I’m starting to think a slightly smaller bike may be more suitable than the great AT I ride and adore. But . . . I’m not willing to forgo all the farkles that makes a bike fit my wants and needs - hope Honda listens!
Here is the truth and it really sucks. The US market for Honda motorcycles is only about 3% of their total sales. We have little say so in the big picture of motorcycling in Honda's eyes. North American Honda could completely pull out of the US and it would affect them very little. I wish the culture for motorcycles in the US would grab hold so we had much more influence.

Yes, sir - you're spot on! Sadly, we're not but a drop in the bucket when it comes to the overall picture for Honda.
Here's to hoping we'll be able to grab more of their total market share in the future but with some of the decisions they make, it has me wondering if they even want to sell more models here lol! But I'm a nobody from the outside looking in, so what do I know.

No hornet, no cl750, only the ugliest color - so they can say “see North America doesn’t want it” HONDA HATES NORTH AMERICAN market

What you’re actually telling us is the 2024 Transalp would be $15,500 after:
1. uncorking
2. purchasing gold wheel set from Woody’s
3. complete white body/graphics/seat cover
Why less HP in the American version ?
We get to thank our dumb, US regulations! It's the same reason why our CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is detuned as well as many other bikes from different manufacturers before they hit our shores. Thankfully with most, it's easy to get that power back via an ECU flash / tuner etc but still - it takes away some of the fun when you have to jump through hoops to get the power back that you should've had from day one.

For 10k I would go with the 450. I can add for $300 a better saddle for longer rides and better suited for dirt

Well yeah.. I mean the other colors are built like several feet away in the same factory, so you can’t really expect them to pay the EXACT SAME AMOUNT to ship them.

I was looking forward to the Transalp coming to the USA but know knowing that it will only be in black and the HP is lower I’m not as near interested not to mention the lack of cruise control. Big Disappointment Honda!

Transalp doesn’t have the DCT. Another fail if you ask me.
Gotta agree with you there bud! They should've developed a DCT for that engine as then they could've also offered up their first sport bike with a DCT via the Hornet, which would be HUGE! With DCT model sales exceeding their expectations time and time again across multiple models, it makes you wonder why they didn't this time around. Unless... it's coming in the very near future?

Its an endless cycle... Honda doesn't offer much colors, so bikes dont sell well. Bikes dont sell well, so Honda says "ehh, lets just send them the cheapest color".

Nice that the Transalp is finally getting here, but less power, Black color choice only,, Honda Really??? What, you don't like us anymore or what. I for one really don't like Black motorcycles, I prefer the white, blue red that we've seen in the advertisements, but no, the USA gets screwed.
I am tired of Honda and their bullshit. In the US we get no models, the rest of the world has more options, ie the Hornet, nt 1100 etc. Shit color options and we can't get delivery of the few models grace our shores. My point being I am fed up with Honda
