@@chugughchctrHe does, but their games as of recent the Nuggets offense as a whole suffers in those games and that’s no mistake. It’s by design for Jokic to have a great game while trying to limit the others from getting in a rhythm. It’s no easy feat but the wolves have the rare personnel to make it a *somewhat* viable scheme.

@@chugughchctrIt's impossible to stop a player like Jokic completely. Even the greatest defenders can only slow down and make it harder, not fully stop him. They made it hard on Jokic last year and it was Murray who killed the Wolves. That was a Wolves team without Jaden McDaniels, one of their best perimeter defender. It'll be a much tougher series this year. The Wolves improved a lot since last year. Nuggets are favorites but no surprise if the Wolves actually win this series.

As a Nuggets fan I have my doubts. Jamal is hobbled with some sort of calf strain and he’s for the most part been AWFUL this series. Having been up 3-0, though we’ll advance but if we can’t step up, we’ll get smoked by the Wolves.

Embiid was literally playing dirty all series before that happened. Punched Scottie in the face twice in the first game, then stepped on his ankle and injured him. Numerous dirty plays on other players before that.

As a Bucks fan, I'm disappointed because it feels like a wasted season. However, I'm not sad that we lost the series. I think this loss has shown the good and bad of this team. I see how Khris has gone out there and proven he deserves the contract he has. I also look at Bobby, and while I love Bobby, I feel like he is probably the best piece to trade and make this team better. I think next season Giannis and Dame will gel much better than this season, we saw flashes in different spots all season and an off season to work on it will help. In retrospect, I'm not nearly as disappointed as last year and I think we have a soild contention stance next season.

When the Beal trade happened I thought “this is a bad trade and he doesn’t fit”. I’ve always seen him as an overrated player but was genuinely surprised he was this bad. That said I don’t think this is a true reflection of his current ability, I think assuming they bring all those guys back next year they will be better and at the very least make the second round with that extra time to gel and potential new cheap additions in the off season. Alternatively they move KD for assets or even consider moving Book too (unlikely) and then they can run a reformulated roster of: Book, Beal and whatever assets they get for Kevin (OKC has some young guys and role players lol).
I feel like this years playoffs truly mark the start of a new era in basketball and a lot of teams are getting exposed and I’m here for it

i wouldnt give up on dg + dm until we see them in a different system. they’re built for pace + motion but it seems JB isnt. 20-2 doesnt just happen. they look like a championship team when they run in transition, start sets early, run multiple actions, and pass like the prime spurs. but they always go away from that in runs like orlando had in the 3rd quarter. even worse, they go away from it after it gives them leads, which invites those big runs. there’s a clear blueprint for the cavs. they have the talent to be a top 5 offensive and defensive team and play like it when they follow the game plan. but for some reason JB teams dont follow the gameplan when things go wrong. happened last year, happened against the hawks in 2022. even happened when he coaches james harden in 2016. its looking like a mark jackson situation where a modern offensive mind gotta come in and unlock the offensive potential there. cause the defensive pride JB gave those guys never gonna leave. especially when they can use it to fuel an elite offence and vice versa

The Suns are limited with what they can spend this off season. I would tell the stars to start recruiting immediately. Wings on my radar would be Bruce Brown and Derrick Jones Jr. because they both offer the army Swiss knife versatility. Alex Len and Mo Bamba would be better options at the big position. Both are better defenders then the current options. Lastly, I would reach out to Tyus Jones and lock down my starting point guard. Most of the current roster is full of league mid exceptions, so they should have some flexibility to add the guys I mentioned.
How are they gonna have flexibility to add those players if they’re over the 2nd tax apron with just 7 players signed. Can’t they only sign veteran minimum contracts?

As a Pelicans fan, CJ needs to go. His hero ball has cost us so many games. As much as I like Jonas, we probably need to upgrade the center position along with the backup center position. BI is probably getting traded and Trey probably will start.

Not a fan of the Steph-Book analogy. The only similarity in my eyes is that KD joined the team. Steph was coming off of back to back MVPs, one of the best (if not the best) regular seasons oat, and a championship where he was already robbed of fmvp. He was in a great position to win his 3rd consecutive mvp and contending for more chips as the undisputed best player, and he said you know what? Winning is what's most important. The next 3 years he was barely in the mvp conversation, got demoted to 2nd and 3rd team all nba, and watched KD get the fmvps while putting up pretty much the best numbers ever by a non fmvp on the winning team, and being the driving force of the team. We are talking about a top 10 player oat in his absolute prime on a good team doing that. Book is a great player, don't get me wrong, but he hasn't done anything remotely close. All he came off of is losing humiliatingly in the 2nd round, why wouldn't he want KD on the team? Especially since I haven't seen him sacrifice much so far. His numbers are not worse, and it's not like they have done anything KD can take the credit for. Even if somehow they did that, it still wouldn't be close.
That's exactly his point. Steph was able to be humble and allow the better player to thrive in order to win. Booker, also in his prime, hasn't sacrificed for KD. That may not be his fault necessarily but the best player on the teams were Steph and Book. KD joins and is now the best player. One team and player sacrificed and one didn't. Also Steph was coming off an embarrassing choke in the finals so even pointing that out is similar to Booker having an embarrassing loss in the 2nd.
@@tonyschimmoeller He actually said booker doesn't get enough credit for welcoming other stars to his team, and that he and Steph were on a similar level. So he's not saying Booker hasn't sacrificed and using Steph as the example to what he should do, he's saying it's already similar. Obviously I disagree both on the similarity of the situations and on the similarity of their levels. I know the 16 finals weren't pretty, but think about it from Steph's perspective - absolutely everything had to go right for the Cavs to win, including Steph being hurt. Only Steph really knows how hurt he was and how it affected his play. Another reason is Harrison Barnes forgetting that when you shoot the ball, it's supposed to go in the direction of the basket, and they were going to upgrade that position either way with all the cap space. So if I'm Steph, what's the best way to shake the 'doesn't show up in the finals' allegations? Replace HB with a good wing and go for another ring, or bring in a superstar that you know is going to take the credit? All I'm saying is, Steph was way better, way more accomplished, in a way better position to win without KD, and with way more to lose. You could say both Steph and book had an embarrassing end to the postseason, but Steph's ending indicated he and his team were in position to win (especially since he wasn't himself in the finals, and agian, only he knows to what extent). If the Warriors ran it back with another wing, let's say they got Paul George for example, they would have been among the top contenders. However, the suns were out in the 2nd round after dominating the regular season. They needed something to change. Steph had way more to lose, and he did. He was not considered for MVP anymore. He lost his 1st team all NBA spot to gaurds who were the solo stars. He is still to this day dealing with narratives about finals performance even though his performances in their 4 wins were all worthy of FMVP. He did all he could to win, only for the NBA world to tell him that unless he 'carries' a team it doesn't count. How in a sport where team play is key, winning as the center piece of one of the best teams of all time is not an accomplishment?
I also don't think it's so obvious that KD was the best player. That's another thing Steph will never escape. At which point do we stop looking at the general idea of a good basketball player, and start to consider some actual facts? Anybody who watched any Warriors games knows that even though KD was great in the finals, him winning both FMVPs is not an accurate representation of the importance and production between him and Steph in those runs. I'm not going to get into it more, but the numbers say it, the eye test says it, and the accolades say it. Steph is different than anyone else in NBA history, and for some reason people can't handle it. They'll always look at him as the little light skin guy with a baby face that overacheived. Even when those words are used fondly, they are not a basis for actual respect and seeing him as a peer.
