You know what would be a funny deck to build? Atraxa Frogs because you can play the most frogs in brawl (or commander in general) with her color identity! 🤠🐸

Back when Golos was spoiled in mh1, I got really excited for him because I wanted a five color scout tribal deck (this was before morophon) and then I saw the nasty decks people were playing and traded it away (before it spiked in price, which was a sad hindsight tbh)

Always nice to see more Saruman gameplay. I’ve been told by my playgroup to stop playing this deck due to my tendency to stay in character as my Sir Christopher Lee impression…also the grave stealing can get annoying, nobody wants to deal with 3 Rhystic Studies on the field.

I do actually agree, Emergent Ultimatum should be banned in Brawl. It is stupid and unfun and for a lot of colors, un-interactable.

Definitely not as broken/annoying as a full counter spell deck, you can see EU coming from a mile away

@@tchem I partially agree. You can see EU coming from a long way off, and counterspell decks can be very obnoxious. However, if you find yourself running into counterspells, you have options to play around them well, or to play anti-counter cards, of which there are a decent number in Brawl.
EU is a card that is basically a one-card win condition if you build properly, and there are a number of tutors for it. Additionally, the best points of interaction for it is stack interaction and hand disruption, which almost entirely locks Green and Red out from doing very much. That is not particularly healthy for a format that limits your colors and is played 1v1. I think combo wins should require the player to draw/tutor more than one card in order to win the game.
Neither deck or strategy wins every time, and they can be interacted with in some ways, but I would claim that counterspells can be interacted with in more healthy ways than EU can.
That said, I am almost to the point of instant-conceding to Eluge. That is admittedly, not going well.

@@ethanglaeser9239 indeed being able to tap out and still cast at least 1 counterspells is quite annoying to play against. I have beat Eluge, but only with spamming enough creatures they eventually couldn't counter when they needed to most and got a board presence up to go wide enough to hit around the growing fish.
