What the hell steve mine did not come with these bearings nor did I know I could change them! Game changer! I’ve been using a rabbeting bit for a year now with one cutting dimension completely fixed! Definitely gonna buy some of these thanks 🙏🏼
When deciding which bearing to use, put a bearing on the bit, measure from the outside edge of the bearing to the tip of the cutting tooth on the bit. This will be the depth of the cut. All bits and bearings are centered on the shaft, so you'll need to measure for each bit when changing bits.
I have the same version of router and love it. I also have a router table with a Dewalt in it. Where did you get the router bit? I can see them on Amazon but they look to be from China and I have not heard good things about those bits.
I am trying to use a rabbet on my palm router to do the exact thing you're doing in my video, when I place my bit this shallow it is WAY too close to the router guard. Any suggestions?
If you look at the full video, he used a jigsaw to round out the edges on the backer. The other alternatives are to square the rabbits on the inside with a chisel, or pre-cut the rabbets before putting the wood together.
Maybe just go walk into traffic. If that gives you anxiety, you are way to big of a snowflake to even both existing. Just do the world a favour, and stop.
