Perth Mint does an awesome job on their range. Just 3 days I bought a 1oz 2024 Dragon and Koi gold coin. An amazing piece. Congratulations to you on your new addition to the stack. Arty from Australia
I like Perth Mint coins. They have a much better quality control than the Royal Mint.
Perth Mint has some of the most beautiful coins in the industry. Great choices!
Absolutely
I have never seen anyone hold these two coins in 2oz before, this vid was wild!
You are taxed when you earn money, taxed again when you spend money, taxed yet again when you sell something. You really will own nothing and you better be happy…..
Welcome to the UK!
@@BackyardBullion We have a duty to avoid taxes wherever possible
Tax on "capital gains" when inflation is high is particularly egregious.
@@shaunpatrick8345 They are wanting to start taxing unrealised capital gains. Taxing profit you haven’t yet made, because you haven’t yet sold whatever it is that has increased in value. Thats little different than jailing you for crimes you might commit sometime in the future. We are in an economic death spiral.
And also taxed when you die!
Great move n awesome 2 oz coins loving the designs ❤
Thank you kindly!
Love these 2 coins, especially the tiger. I got both of these in 1 oz versions😊
I have enjoyed your content greatly your doing a great job
So jelly about the Germania mint. ❤ your channel
Thanks so much!
I did the same thing lol. I swapped gold bars for coins.
Big congratulations on hitting 60K subscribers🎉
Thank you so much 😀
Whoaaa....those Luna coins are fabulous!!! Love the Dragon and Tiger 👍🏻👍🏻
They are stunning!
Congratulations on 60K
Stunning Gold!
Awsome video and congratulations on 60,000 subscribe 🎉🎉
Thanks so much!!
Perth Mint is a future goal of mine, some truly stunning designs! Will checknout the Gods series for reasons it appeals to me.
I have one ounce 2024 along with a 2012 Year of the Dragon coins. Not to add to my stack but simply because I was born in the Year of the Dragon some decades ago.
Congratulations on reaching 60k subs... it should have happened sooner 👍🏆
Fantastic coins !
That’s a massive haul BYB, really lovely coins. Thanks for sharing ✌🏻😊
Thanks for watching!
Nice coins bud ❤
Hard to believe Perth consider these 'Bullion' as well. No bolt cutters or grubby hands thank you.😀
Stunning pieces 🙌🙌🙌
That is some beautiful consolidation, Backyard.
Wonderful choices. 👏🤝
Thx❤
No problem 😊
Doh with capital tax allowance already dropped by half in the last 2 years from 12k-3k and the labour party saying for years cgt should be the same rate as income tax to even out wealth distribution this may not be the most sensible choice. Labour did say they won't change cgt last month but it is an election year and MPs will say anything but when in power it must change as they currently have a £30bn deficit in their budget
Thats such a good idea to trade in gold/silver for different gold or silver, instead of selling and buying. I know you sold and bought but potentially it could work. What do you think?
They should have a trade option on Stackers Social. Could only be done with trusted individuals though.
I'm not too keen on the Tiger 2022 gold 2 oz. But i really like the Dragon 2024. Love dragon coins.
You did good in my opinion 👏
Thanks!
I love my Perth Mint gold bullion coins. I’m collecting the current series 3 LNY in 1/10 ounce gold coins, as this is more in my price range for deep stack collectibles.
Beautiful coins! First time I've seen them in 2oz 🙂
I love the Perth Mint products I have quite a few gold dragons, kangaroos, kookaburras n rabbits oh just gorgeous coins.
Bullion Now have a UA-cam channel where they also complained about the Royal Mint's silver spotting issue. What a nice fit lol
We get taxed on everything love the dragon and tiger great video mate ⚓️🧲👍
Really want some Germania mint gold
That would be amazing
Got none of the two oz gold coins however, 2 oz Australian nugget coins are definitely in my future. Along with the Mexican 50 pesos centenario
Congrats on 60k!
Those coins Are Beautiful..
Your new 2 x 2oz statement purchases are interesting.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks, glad you agree!
Its a bit odd the 2024 coin having the queens head on it just a comment.
The quarter Ounce tiger is also a stunning coin, absolutely stunning.
.rather have that 2oz one though..
Well my dear old friend, 60K now and we started about the same time making videos. App I can say is WOOHOO, WOW and good on you and your fine Mrs BYB.Great post old friend. Have a great weekend EH.
Thanks my friend!
they must be nice in the hand, being 2oz each. i have kruges that feel great, half the weight!!
I don't think you mentioned the RMSD insurance limit. You might have alternative insurance but could limit their appeal in the secondary market?
Yes, this is a factor to consider.
For the most part CGT would not be much of an issue unless you dispose of a large collection at once. In most cases if the sale proceeds are below £6000 then coins and bullion would not incur tax. Coins count as moveable chattel and the threshold for this is a disposal of £6000. If the sale proceeds are above £6000 then tax is paid on the profits. It would be based on total profits in a year so you would be able to deduct any losses and selling costs before tax is calculated. If you only ever sell in small amounts, it is unlikely you would be liable for CGT. If gold keeps going up or the rules on CGT change in the future then this may become a consideration.
CGT allowance is 3k not 6k
How will that affect the taxation base of your stack since the new gold is not Uk coinage. They are lovely though. # jumped the gun lol.
Wow...stunning gold coins!😮😊😊😊
Thanks, glad you like them!
I have the 1/4 dragon. It's my favourite coin in my collection.
Its stunning!
Very nice acquisition of gold there beats my 18 1/20th collection of smallest world coins from 20 years ago !!
20 1/20th is nice to have
RM coins ( all legal tender)can be 'called back' by Charlie if he wants so worth having some no CGT cold
i would melt it down myself if it came to that and would be giving nothing back in the form of coins
@@jkly495 that's a crime
@@jockmahon indeed it is under the 1971 Coinage Act you learn something new everyday, Not that I have any metals to melt LOL however if I do acquire some in the future I now know. I have seen trades people drill into coins that are legal tender on plumbing videos on UA-cam and never thought that they shouldn't be doing this.
I did same before , sold a oz so I could give my daughter a "2023" oz for her HS graduation.
what did you get rid of?
Love perth mint products 😊
Ive thought about doing exactly the same for that dragon. I got the silver instead as i prefer the design of that more and was more affordable
2 Oz lunars are relatively fair value at dealers, probably because they're hard to shift. And yes, they're super fab
I have the 1/4oz Dragon a stunning coin love it.
Boring 1oz Britannias all the way for me. I get it though, nobody would watch your channel if you just collected CGT exempt coins.
Just looking at buying a sovereign from Royal Mint but just heard you say you dont like them, why?
They are way too expensive. You can buy a sovereign for a lot less than a dealer like Atkinsons bullion. Don't buy direct drink te royal mint, it's a rip off.
Not knowing anything about this series, may I ask why are they "lunar?"
Signs of the zodiac
Chinese lunar animals, depends on your birth year!
I'm sadly year of the pig 😄🐷
@@BackyardBullion Thank you, must research my birth year, to see which animal I am.
First world problems 😂😂 So True. Beautiful Coins
How the hell are they ever going to know that you made a profit?
Absolutely stunning! Never seen a 2oz gold. I love my Perth mint silver, especially myths series. Can I ask how price compared getting one from Atkinsons and one from Australia? Great vid
They are stunning. Cheaper from Atkinsons as you woudlnt have to pay international shipping. Also, whilst you wont have to pay for the customs sometimes it gets held up and would be a real pain to get sorted.
@BackyardBullion oh its the Perth mint who do free shipping over a certain ammount. Yeah bullion now are great guys. Thanks for swift response.. again stunning pieces buddy
