@@ouuwee7 oh yea I’m so thankful that 3 months before the new game I finally found out what effects put back dunks. Thank u so so much! I appreciate tutes I really do but he has to make content on what we actually need instead of just producing content for money and views. Test what we actually use every day
I think acceleration matters a lot when it comes to putback. 1st, My PG does out back far more often than any other build of mine. He has 90 DD (driving dunk), 80 vert. Acc is almost 90. This dude does 1 putback per game so every game I can do it. Sometime I make 3 putbacks in 1 game. 2nd is my SF. 93 DD, 82 vert and about 85 acc. Obviously he has higher DD and vert but barely get 1 putback every 4 or 5 games. 3rd my SG. 2nd Slowest with 96 DD, 86 vert but 80 acc. He catches maybe 1 putback every 10 games or so. Last is my PF. 96 DD, 81 vert (still pissed at myself) 75 acc. He is the slowest and barely catch lobs. He does BUT not often.
Acc only kicks in when the ball is in your hands. It's literally the first few steps you take having the ball. This is why they have the quick first step badge to enhance Acc. The speed attribute would make more sense since you are running without the ball.
You can go for them after it hits the rim as well. If you use defense takeover or have mamba where it you see where the ball is going you can use it to help line up your putback dunks. I get them consistently with a build that has 25 Reb but 94 dunk and gold aerial wizard
Testing the frequency of put back dunks at different thresholds would've made more sense, not getting putback dunks without dunk attributes seems pretty obvious...
Thanks for the feedback but the point of the test is to know which stat weighs more. Testing for frequency won’t have accurate results anyway because it’s on blacktop, there’s no point.
Good vid! The question I have been thinking about is at what driving dunk rating will your build even attempt to do putback dunk when wide open? 36 driving dunk is a definite no go on one of my builds.
Any build that can dunk can do a putback. Any build that can do a driving dunk can catch it while moving. A build with no driving dunk but lots of standing dunk like a very tall C can only cat h it while barely moving or while standing still. So, what driving dunk can give you the most basic 1 foot and 2 foot dunks? That’s all you need to do a putback. Like someone said, being able to have at minimum bronze aerial wizard is necessary so with 64 driving dunk and a fair enough vertical should be able to allow you to dunk it. Now, it won’t happen frequently.
It works much better if you were 6’7 center/power forward with 88driving dunk and vertical that 80 and stand and dunk at 75 which by the way is what I’m using, but I can’t tell you the whole spec but I can confirm driving dunk layup and standing dunk with gold wither is sweet spot for 6’7 centre for a centre
Everytime i go up for a putback, the animation starts but my player never finishes it, he either cant grab the ball or someone else rebounds it, i have aerial wizard on HOF and posterizer on gold, can I get some insight?
That’s more on positioning and timing problem. Try not to expect that your close on getting it already though because almost everyone can do that putback gather anim.
@@nba2ktutes I might not have clarified this good, but myplayer is actually going into the dunk animation like the actual finishing animations not the mistimed putback animation, but instead of getting the putback hes doing the finishing animations without the ball, is that because of timing and positioning?
2k devs watching you so they can make the next game worse, they done with 24. (Just yapping) 👇🏾 Also I feel it's extremely disrespectful that Kobe doesn't even have a 100 ovr card. I don't play myTeam like that nor do I care to pull for that scam, but it's just the fact that the game is themed around him.
My 6’4 PG gets more putbacks than both my C’s and my 🔒 94 driving dunk with no rebounding and I legit can catch at least 2 a game. That’s 4 free points 🤷🏽♂️
Where was all this content when ppl was actually playing the game?
Facts 😂
@@fIagrantfouIthis is the good stuff?? How often are u really doing put backs? Stop complaining if u can make better content please we wanna see it .
Be thankful he's spending his time to run these tests to give us this information.

he's been dropping you just ain't hip to the channel like we are bruh get Cha head in da game🗣️🤦🏿♂️💯
This means you could realistically not invest in o board and use the put back dunk mechanic to still be an effective offensive rebounder
Great info tutes. More stuff like this earlier in the year for 2k25
That’s the plan. Last months before the end of the game is more likely my practice tests so I can use all these methods come next game.

What do I have to do to upgrade the badge it’s been stuck at silver (2k25 ) and the max i can get it too is hof

THE ONLY THING OFF REB DOES THATS IMPORTANT IN PUTBACKS IS HELP YOU CATCH THEM OVER PEOPLE WITH HIGHER REB RATINGS
YOU 100% DONT NEED TURBO OR TO HOLD SQUARE/X YOU CAN JUST TAP IT.
You can not do a putback dunk without A wizard in mycareer so make sure you have it on at least bronze .
The point of the vid is to show the rankings, as mentioned on the video
