Bro I'm Angolan, I've basically lived in Africa Angola all my life, and I moved to Portugal when I was 17, went to university early etc etc. In my country bad people show themselves more easily and here everyone is calmer when they take advantage of you, even racism is calmer to the point where you don't think it is, but thank God I knew how the streets worked in my country and instinct never lies when you see someone with a look of envy and greed when they see you achieving things with effort, without stepping on anyone. Bro I love your content, I'm 24 about to turn 25 and I'll say I had your maturity at your age but I wasn't humble enough to think that my environment wouldn't influence my choices and my success, I thought all my friends were my friends until I was changed by someone I introduced to the environment. My advice is simple, when your friends don't have the same goals as you, they'll suck your energy into old habits, many of them don't mean any harm, they're just being used, limit it especially for those who are getting married or living in a marital relationship, believe me one outing with the wrong bros can change your life completely with or without alcohol.

I was approached by a man and a women one day apart from each other. They hit me with that same script about retiring early and being mentored by an older couple. Come to find out that MLM company was having a convention in my city (Vegas) that week. It’s crazy hearing you talk about this because I basically had the same experience you did. Gotta stay vigilant out here. It’s a cold world we live in.

The story at the grocery store is a sales pitch for many companies, I personally worked with a life insurance company that uses that pitch. They are definitely lying but that’s how they are trained to sale their services which is why I left. 8/10 of the agents actually want to just sell you and forget about you 2/10 will actually try to help the person and keep a connection but they will be looked at differently by not just 8/10 that are just selling but the whole company since that’s not how they operate but wanna seem like they are. The services are beneficial don’t get me wrong but lying to sell those services are what made me leave. Good luck brother and keep it up!

Had the same thing happen to me at target, same setup, a couple and a kid, they talked about how their business venture which had me interested, they invited me to a meeting which was in the end just a big MLM setup for Amway😂
To be honest, I think they were scoping you out before they approached you - they had to think of a compliment to give you to throw you off-most scammed artist give out fake compliments to luring you in their scam that they're trying to pull on you...they figured that you looked approachable enough to talk to you and try to scam you.

But many people wouldnt be socially smart enough or grown enough to reqognize when a friend has become a black Hole. because sometimes you need to be smart enough to see that your friends sadly enough can become a black Hole if they fall into the many possible hells that purpose driven men stay away from.
