"Correlation does not imply causation". What other major events have happened around the time when the Fed has cut the rates in previous instances to cause the recession? The Global financial crisis, the COVID pandemic, etc were the reasons why the Fed cut the interest rates in previous instances. They are cutting this time because they believe that they are on a sustainable path to 2% inflation.
Ahh yes a sense of optimism.... They've been cooking the employment numbers every month and revising then a month later whej noone is looking...unemployment is ticking up. Russia Ukraine still going on. Middle East is intensified and every month someone is going on a strike...yes that's certainly all optimistic...
