That was about as weirdly, fumbly a question as I've heard from Larry. Among many.
if its not weird to say why is it weird to ask? larry was always understanding and supportive of lgbtq and for someone of his generation thats actually an exception not a rule. her answer was beautiful but other people's outrage over a nothingburger is far more problematic than an interviewer asking basic questions.

young nope I understand it's a very personal question, which I would not ask unless I was very close to someone, but I don't get why some people I'm these comments would be offended..many people are with the opposite sex, and then with same sex..so it seems like a natural thing to wonder about. absoluteacw nah, he went through it at home. The usual, older rich man with too young wife who isn’t too happy when the age on the hubby is more apparent and she ends up not so invested in the marriage. A quick google search tells you, he is on his 7th marriage and he’s 84 yrs old and his wife hasn’t even turned 60 yet. I mean they don’t match in physical activity level these days as they did more in 1997 (even though she was 36 and he 62) when they married. He’s not the IT dude anymore like in the late ’90s. So seeing Holland Taylor not only glowing but with a woman who has so much interest in her thoughts and physical appearance probably rubbed him the wrong way for the reasons mentioned above.

Rio Brasil Samba Shows sambistabeauty : If I was being judgmental I would have judged your poor knowledge of grammar, but I won't do that because I'm not judgmental. (I might be a bit sarcastic though). But, I want to clarify that my comment on the interview was in regards to Larry asking her for when she became a lesbian. That's rude and deeply personal. Most importantly though, it's a wrong statement to make because if you had previously dated a member of the opposite sex and now date someone of the same sex, that doesn't automatically make you gay, it might mean that you are bisexual or pansexual etc. Also, most members of the LGBTQ+ community would find it offensive if someone said that we turned gay. Some people have suppressed so much their sexuality that they figure it out only later in life. Heteronormativity though forces most people to assume (wrongly) that everyone is straight until told otherwise. However, thank you for your comment because it allows me to explain myself better and maybe you have learnt a thing or two. Have a nice day!

He has become, or maybe he always was, an arrogant interviewer. Doesn’t seem interested in the person he’s talking to.
and then rudely interrupts them with a new question as they’re in the middle of answering the previous question. Very condescending and brushes them off as if anything they have to say is unimportant or disinteresting

Holland is a strong minded lady and is enjoying this interview, Larry conducts interviews in his style and doesnt change for anyone, he listens and is very smart. Hes one of the best and Holland wouldnt be on getting interviewed by him if she didnt agree. She has had enough experience in life to know who to do an interview with and she doesnt get offended like your generation. You could learn a lot from her. If you had your way interviews would be done on eggshells and people wouldnt know what to ask in case they offend. *Sigh*.

Get educated because there are all types of people, for instance, a woman who was with men, then was with both, then strictly women for many years (thinking she was going to be a lesbian from that period forward), then back to both, then back to strictly men. Granted the person is probably bi. So it is a perfectly reasonable question and don't try and argue with anything I just said because it is fact. The person I refer to is simply done with women.

I’m so happy that her and sarah are together. I think their relationship really breaks the “norm”. I don’t necessarily believe that there is a “norm” because “normal” cannot be defined, truly. But society went ahead and did it. So I’m glad it’s being re-written so to speak. Very happy for them.

I love Holland Taylor. If anyone remembers, she was in 8 episodes of 'The L word" back in the early 2000's playing Helena's mother and I think it was revealed that she was gay, but chose a heterosexual lifestyle (I think, its been a while).

Who couldn't love Holland or Sarah? Two deeply beautiful women, who in my opinion, are absolutely gorgeous because of their intelligence, compassion, and independence. I myself am a card carrying lesbian. And I have fallen in love with a woman before, simply because of her beautiful mind. Just to lay under the stars together at night, all intertwined within one another....and do nothing but talk of each others hopes, desires, dreams, the things that make your soul on fire. Ahhh...best feeling ever! At my age, I'm not looking for the shallow type. I want someone who can stimulate my mind just as much as they can my body. Today is definitely a great time to be a woman! 😉

And as well the way she talks about sarah she’s so kind and speaks so highly of her, she’s such an amazing actress and women and she and Sarah are honestly the most beautiful couple ever. I love how holland taylor said that her experience with being a lesbian or rather having a lesbian relationship, was specific to each relationship. It wasnt a matter of her declaring she was gay or bisexual, because that's not what she did here. Regardless of sexuality she cared for a person and that's why she endeavored to be in a relationship with them. It doesn't need a label it's ok to be one thing and embrace the experience of the complete opposite, unknown, or personally unfamiliar.

I was curious about her because I've been watching the American Crime series with Sarah Paulson in the two big roles - the AJ Simpson trial and the Clinton trial. I thought she's a great actress, and then I wanted to know more about her and read about her girlfriend being Holland Taylor. It's clear the couple have a very strong creative and artistic bond, as well as their relationship.
