Join Alex and Aimee (@royandaimee) as they show you the in's and out's of Tokyo Imperial Palace! Is there any spot you're particularly excited to visit on your trip to Tokyo? Let us know!
What a blast filming at the Imperial Palace! Looking forward to more of Alex's unintended rhymes 😆and fun activities in Tokyo!
Hey girls nice video just remember to also use international metric system as the world is not English only! Many thanks
@@iLVCA Thanks for the reminder! Will make sure to do that in future videos 😊
I was fortunate enough to be there in 2019 when the inner area was open, so busy, but well organised and a special experience.
Glad to hear it was a great experience!
Yall are back! Now that Japan is finally open I'll be revisiting this channel often just like before pre-covid! Looking forward to more!
Yes, we’re back 😁
New videos coming every week!
Love your content, planning to go to japan next year. Please give updates (if any) regarding new cheap spots and attraction!
I went there when I was serving with the Royal Marines in 42 Commando. This was our R & R after spending 2 very active Tours of Duty in Borneo. We had sailed on HMS Fearless from our base in Singapore stopping at Hong Kong to visit the US Embassy & socialising with the USMC Embassy Guards. We were visiting Tokyo as part of British Week to promote Britain.I hope to include my photo standing outside the Imperial Palace. Wonderful memories and we even drove to Mt Fuji! 0:41
Thanks again for this really great video. I always love to travel with you. : )
Aha! My friend Aimee is here! You always make good videos!
Hopefully going to visit the palace gardens today. Checked into my Tokyo hotel yesterday afternoon.
Anyway...
This was helpful, thanks. 😊👍
the quirky cats and stuff make this cool
Imperial Palace is considered the most city centre of Tokyo. Like Forbidden Palace in Beijing or the Notre Dame in Paris.
Thanks for the info! So without guided tour u can't go into part where imperial palace is?
Do you guys have any information in regards to the Hasuike-Bori (Lotus Moat) where the public is invited to view a sections in the grounds?
Very good video
What are the odds that when I did a search for the palace on Google your website came up, and I did a search on youtube on my second computer and your channel came up lol.
We are everywhere haha 😆
Nice mention about beautiful place japan alongwith preety Alex aimee
Hi, great video thanks! I didn't undestand if you need to reserve an entrance in order to get into the gardens. Is it necessary? How could you entry? Thank you so much, it would help me a lot 🥰
Hi there! The East Gardens don't need a reservation for entry but if you'd like to do a guided tour where you can access some of the inner grounds, you need to make a reservation. Info on how to make a reservation online is here: sankan.kunaicho.go.jp/english/about/koukyo.html 😊

Woah, why were you guys away for 3 years?
Hi, I work for South Korean broadcast company tvN. we would like to use your video on our history show. We hope to use it within 20 seconds to introduce travel destinations related to the subject. Could you please let me know if we could use an excerpt from it giving the credit to your channel? Thanks :)
I remember when I went there, there were so many people. My friends and I were surprised if there was some sort of event or something. Nevertheless, it’s just awesome to be there.
Glad you enjoyed your time there!
@@tokyocheapo can't wait for another opportunity to go there again. Watching your videos in the mean time. Cheers!
Hello Good Morning

How do you register or make a reservation to enter?
Hi! You can find all the information here: sankan.kunaicho.go.jp/english/about/koukyo.html

Not much of a tour, lots of talking and silly photos pasted in but not much about the actual palace, well I don't think we even saw the actual palace? Should be titled palace moat tour because that's about all we saw. But why describe something accurately when you can sensationalize it.
Hi! Unfortunately the inner grounds where the actual palace is located are only open to the general public for 2 days of the year. So this guide is aimed at giving a tour of all the different areas you can see year-round ; the East Gardens, the moat etc. 😊
@@tokyocheapo I understand that but when I see a video entitled Tokyo Imperial Palace Guide I expect more than a walk in the park. If you can't even get a look at the Palace how can it be a Palace guide? That's the problem with not only your video but 100s of them entitled Imperial Palace tour. Not one of them has any views of the Palace, not even a photo inserted they are all of the Imperial Palace garden. I am sure there must be a few videos of the Palace but they are impossible to find because so many of you mislead us with inaccurate video titles. I guess honesty is too much to expect from youtubers begging for subscribers.
@@lennybuttz2162 do one fella
@@HotdogSosage If I lived in Tokyo I would certainly do one and I'd go on the day where you can actually tour the palace instead of just talking about it.
