- I finally got to the point where I could attempt to move the vehicle out of the garage….and then right back in.
It’s still FAR from perfect but this is a start.
The clutch bites really low, I am thinking it’s not fully disengaging and needs adjusting.
The brakes exist…. But stopping requires a bit of anticipation it seems.
Super exciting to get to sit behind the wheel of a project I have been thinking about for over a decade.
Follow along as I continue to tune, restore, rebuild, and upgrade the LS 944!!
…yes I did end up dragging the quick jack out with me… oops
It Moves! YAY!
Obviously you've been making some serious, under cover progress!
Hey Don! Had to do a head gasket job over the weekend (because I have an early LS1 and had the wrong gaskets🥸) which I was surprised to find I could do entirely with the engine in the car. Nevertheless that setback motivated me to want to actually drive the car. I put my nose to the grindstone to make it happen. Hopefully I can find more time in the near future to highlight some of my more “unique” solutions to getting it working…. I also have to fine tune the clutch bite point and brakes are a must! (Which I know you have experienced haha)
@@tedtakesitapart Wow, that's interesting. On my car I can probably get the passenger side head but no way on the drivers side.
@@stokerdon1020 yeah I was expecting the drivers side to be a huge PITA but with a bit of patience, and fine motor skills I was able to manipulate the rockers, pushrods, and head studs through very specific areas when it came to working near the master cylinder.
I honestly have no idea where the room to do the work came from but I’ll take it haha
