Nice one. I have the exact same set up as you. I wanted something to use for photography and to vlog along side my GoPro 10 as the footage falls apart at night. I am pretty impressed with it so far, and think the active stabilisation is ok if you are careful. Thanks for the cool video. Good luck
Thanks for this very helpful video 👍👍... Q1. Can we make digital zoom on sony a6700 at 120fps or at 240fps for FHD or 4k for batter wildlife telephoto reach to shoot slow-mo? (Any of these combination, after turn on digital zoom in settings) Q2. Can you confirm If we set photo shoot resolution to a lower megapixel resolution from the highest resolution settings available, dose it downsample from the full sensor or it's just skip pixels to make a lower resolution photo?
Thank you! There is not much difference between active steadyshot and no steadyshot. However DaVInci stabilization makes a significant difference although a little artifilcial.
Yeah I think I'd just use no steadyshot to get optimal field of view and sort it out myself later. But I do notice that sometimes DaVinci Resolve stabilization adds a bit of a wobbly effect that I have been trying to get away from 🫣 it's a balancing act, literally.
I am a begginer when it comes to video, I have the a7c and the other day I recorded a video at24 fps and then stabilized it with Davinci, but I noticed the clip to be a little bit jittery, versus your video which looks very natural. Do you have any tips on shooting at 24 fps
There are a lot of factors. It could be how sudden your steps are, or use the settings I use for DaVinci stabilization (I put it on the screen earlier in the video). Sometimes it helps to combine both camera’s stabilization and DaVinci resolve stabilization together. See what works for you
At 60 fps, APS-C Super35 mode must be enabled. So that already crops in 1.5x. Standard and Active Stablization modes are still available to choose from, and Active will crop in another 1.1x or 1.2x. So it total, it'll be a 1.6 or 1.7x crop. The 11m focal length becomes 17.6mm or 18.7mm. If filming at 60 fps is important to you, it's better to consider a full-frame lens like the Samyang 18mm f2.8 so you're using the whole sensor.
I was LOOKING for this like literaly all across UA-cam hahaha THANKS! :D

I have the GoPro Hero 10 as well and love that for daytime hiking videos too! But yes, this setup is great when it gets darker.

I don't know, sorry. I don't have a a6700...
DaVinci Resolve stabilization seems pretty solid even without hardware active. Nice!
Yeah!! I think I could just film without stabilization and keep as much field of view as possible before putting it through DaVinci Resolve 😁

Do you use a nd filter? If so. Does it have vignette?
Thank you✨

It’s so helpful ^ ^
Two questions, how come there is no vignette on the edges even though you have a nd filter on? Did you crop it in post? Please reply
I realized later that I must have had Super 35 mode automatically enabled on the a7C ii, so it immediately cropped in 1.5x.
@@BadSloucher my ZV-E1 doesnt allow to go 4k on super 35 mode and it costs more than tha a7c ii 🥲
Did you tried it with 60 fps how the footage with 1.5x crop?

Are you still slouching? 😢
Yeah it's my whole brand
@@BadSloucher rip back 🥲
Good colours, bad stab 😢
Yeah, what can you expect from a full frame camera :\ DaVinci Resolve is free and does a good job in post
