Beautiful Hike at Pink Ledges, Red Canyon, Utah

Stunning hike among the otherworldly, magical hoodoos of Red Canyon, Pink Ledges Trail, just outside Bryce National Park. Beautiful scenery for treadmill and elliptical workouts. There were high winds this day, but it just added to the magic. I did not edit color on this video. The eye-popping contrast of evergreens, red rock, clear blue sky and puffy white clouds is totally natural, making this one of my top three favorite hikes. Filmed in 4K UHD 30fps on a GoPro HERO10 in hopes the sublime scenery just pops on-screen, and lets you savor the whimsical shapes and colors of this wild, natural landscape as if you were actually there.
If you are stuck indoors, stuck in the city, or just missing the outdoors and adventure, this may fill the hole until you can get out there. It can also add a taste of the wilderness to indoor walking, stepping, and hiking on treadmills, striders and ellipticals. Play or cast this video to your phone, tablet, or TV and lead the way!
Our hike starts at the Red Canyon Visitor's Center. The center is new, well-signed, informative and curated. Plenty for adults and kids alike to see and learn. We will cross the parking lot and take the trail counter-clockwise, passing numbered points of interest in reverse, where young and old can learn something at each point with the guide pamphlet. The playful, fascinating shapes, scoops, and spires have to be seen to be believed and appreciated. I'm so glad you get to see these in-person and enjoy this hike from wherever you are!
Some enjoy the raw, simple sounds of nature and footsteps on the trail, finding it reduces anxiety and stress. If you do not, turn the audio down and stream your favorite music service while walking along. If the pace doesn't suit you, use the UA-cam Playback Speed setting to adjust. Turn on closed captioning for a few comments about the trail and points of interest (not found in my first videos).

I spent the weekend hiking around Fremont Indian State Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. On my way out of Bryce, I stopped here at Red Canyon. So glad I did. This visitor center, its exhibits, and the accessibility and easy grade of the short trails are hidden gems. I hope you enjoy the scenery and fantastic geologic formations as much as I did!

Beautiful video! That you didn’t add music or a lot of talking enhanced the viewing as well. My husband and I loved Red Canyon. Try the Tunnel Trail: stunning views as well.
