Ran the old school F1s on 3 different bikes. pitched them up a bit and set the screws in the front shorter. Forces the knees in when you stand and puts you a bit forward. kind of like the new KTMs do. They do more so.... Not to say you can't adjust it. I don't really need the "tall" option and I'm not long legged by did like it. I tried both positions on my old bikes. The cool thing about the older design was with a new barrel you can just move them to a new bike. KTM never changed their peg design so I was able to transfer. They finally did change it up in like 17 or so making so I could not move these to my Gas Gas. I never did kill the aluminum F1s I had. Once I beat or break the OEM pegs on the gas gas will be looking to upgrade.
@@SeatTime Its a 22. They are not smashed or bent surprisingly, but notably thinner than KTMs of the past (07 and 2013). I have the EX300 which is basically the 22 KTM300xc.
Awesome video! Was lucky enough to get my bike with a set already on! Only down side is the pins in the leading edge are completely worn over. Has anyone dealt with that, and what did you do to remove them? Drill them out? Also, make sure you guys check the pins, have spare on hand to replace once they start to wear. They go from grippy to slippy real quick. Currently riding the couch with a broken foot due to my boot slipping slipping off on a landing.
Good question! I noticed I could pinch my bike better. I also noticed I got stuck on the pegs less, even though the teeth are now sharper and taller. Let us know how they work for you.
I’m also 5’11”. I thought about standard, but glad I put them in the down and back position. I’ve been able to grip the bike a ton better. I would try it and see for a few rides. If you don’t like it, you can swap them back.
I’ve had them on five bikes now. The all steel ones. Never wore one out or damaged one. I’m 6’1” with long legs and I love the low and back setup.
If I get another Sherco I could easily see these moving with me to another bike.
I'm same height ordering these now!
Nice video Brian, have fun cruising along the back roads and trails!
Thanks Ricky! Hopefully you get to join us one day!!!

HAHA! I love Gary P, but he's CRAZY! I enjoy following him, and being pushed by his hill climbs he comes up with!!!
@@SeatTime he has skills and a great personality.

I’ve been really impressed with how they’ve held up to my bashing and crashing!

Getting ready to install some low/back pegs on my bike here...
Did you notice any difference in handling or body position with them being back a bit?

How tall are you? I'm a pretty average 5'11" so I'm thinking about keeping the pegs in the standard position but want to get your take
