Had watched hoping you would take out the ash tray assembly. I am trying to take mine out to replace the lighter and housing but cannot figure out how in the heck to get it out. Anybody have any suggestions, I would appreciate it.
The hose to the ashtray is a fibre optic line that lights up the ashtray when you turn the headlights on. It should lead to the back of your gauge cluster.
Cool video, I never really paid attention to a 1st gen camaro dash, so different than my chevelles. Headliner stitching deteriorates, that happened to my chevelle too. Hey, trivia question, your camaro's shifter is the same as my chevelle's, if you had to tell someone what ki d of shifter it is, what would you say?

Not an expert on the topic but I believe it was common back then for the GM cars.

@@jaxhd1241 I think that's the proper name. I've heard it called a bunch of other names. I call it a staple shifter.
