I think we’re gonna discover Shane doesn’t want kids because she still feels some of the emotional affects when her brother Shay was taken from her in the original L Word. She adjusted to having to raise a kid pretty quickly and grew closer and closer to him only to have their jerk of a father come back and take him away. He even scared Shane with the idea that her brother might end up in the foster care system if she didn’t let Shay leave with him. Given what she went through, she wasn’t gonna risk that happening to her brother. If she ends up loving this baby and something happens between her and Quiara the court might give Quiara custody because she is the birth mother. Shane has matured a lot but some part of her is still pretty guarded.

I think so too. There has been a lot of focus on Shane and kids this season, not just her scenes with Q.
They could have gone with so many other storylines to create angst for them. Choosing kids seems specific to explore a certain kind of vulnerability. If they only brought in Q to end them permanently on this topic, it seems like a waste of time and chemistry.
I don't expect them to have a baby so soon after coming back in a reboot. Likely Q loses the baby and the moment bubbles up.
I am still hopeful they work through it as a way of exploring Shane's issues. Would also be great to learn more about Q.

Here’s an observation. Dani and Sophie were just together when we first saw them. We never saw them have to really work on anything. From what I can tell, they fell together rather than built a solid foundation. Sophie cheated with Dani and is now engaged to her. Does Dani think that’s just gonna change? It’s almost always “once a cheater, always a cheater”, and I think Sophie will call things off or get caught with Finley. I’m okay with that. Finley and Sophie are working on certain things, and Bette, whether mentor only or potential romantic interest, is intriguing to Dani right now. I want to see that explored....either way!
Dani said that Sophie left her ex girlfriend to be with her. She never said she cheated.

Finley needs someone to choose her for once and not tell her to leave. So far, it seems finley's parents reject her, every girl she has liked has told her she is not girlfriend material, and she so wants to have a relationship. But ultimately i think sophie, is just using finley for comfort, cause she is scared that dani is closed off and she doesnt know what to do, and sophie does have a history of cheating.

It feels to easy to make it sexual. As for Sophie and Finley, the direction they took that shows how life bruised and vulnerable they are. With issues that need to be worked on. I am not of fan of it, and hope they resolve it.

Well I guess this means they belong together then LoL now that I’ve slept on it...it was disappointing to see Sophie kiss Finley (and Finley...🙄 that girl has no boundaries, she could have stopped it! But that aside) and yes they both share the blame but tbh the brunt of it should be on Dani. She’s a workaholic...it’s what she’s known, it’s how she’s been raised and I get that but she has to find a balance if she actually wants to be in a relationship, heck if she wants to be married. She has to make herself emotionally available, she has to be able to prioritize her family when things get tough. Yes Sophie told her to go to work but of course she would tell Dani to do so when Dani can’t even take a moment to put her phone down (you saw those opening scenes).....Finley is right, regardless of what Sophie said about going to work...Dani should have been doing what Finley did. Heck, even at Sophie’s grandma bedside, she couldn’t even find a moment to just be there for Sophie...knowing just how important her grandma is to her...to me that’s just unacceptable and was probably the last straw.

Ok, so Sophie kissed Finley, big deal! It was one kiss, but let us not sit here and act like Dani is not emotionally cheating on her with Bette. There's a reason she wants to rush and elope because she feels that will diminish her own feelings/thoughts for another woman! They both are in the wrong, but this is exactly what happens when you push people away and do not communicate properly!

Just read an article in Hollywood Reporter with Marja-Lewis Ryan, she said that the creator's team think that they can't bring Carmen back because they can't have a Persian actress portraying a Mexican DJ. WTF, this is BS, and you can have Jennifer as Bette when she is straight and married to a man?!?!? Don't get me wrong, I love Jennifer, but there's been rumor saying that Ilene Chaiken doesn't like Sarah Shahi, that is why she was cut from the original series. This lame excuse kinda validate that rumor!! I still hope they would bring Carmen back, even just for an episode!!! 🤞

Normally I never like when characters cheat because I dont have sympathy for it in real life, but like Sophie deserves so much better than Dani. Dani needs to get her shit together and start prioritizing her. No one should be getting married when they can't properly communicate with each other.
My opinion of Finley has kinda evolved over the last episode or two. She genuinely wants to do what's best for sophie and even if it's obvious she kinda felt something, she probably wouldn't have ever tried to act on it if sophie hadn't made the first move. Although I'm a bit blindsided by this sudden emotional maturity. Where the hell was this emotional maturity when she was fucking up and drunkenly telling Rebecca things and drinking with Tess. I feel like the writing for the character is kinda inconsistent, ya know?
Maybe ya know, Finley has more connection with Sophie. They have long-term friendship, and I assume S could meet F in very hard time and helped her.
And I personally can relate to Finley so much.

No one talks or cares about the guys: Jose & Micah💀😂😂 they bore me, I hope they aren’t on the next season, please bring Max back!! I miss & liked him. I skip the parts of Jose & Micah tbh... and sometimes parts of Dani & Sophie too, I just need the original cast back 😭 Shane still looks good as hell... have always loved her style & voice 😍
