You prolly dont give a shit but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my login password. I love any assistance you can offer me!
Thanks for the review - I've been thinking about this for a while. For the corona days, my neighbors are gone, so I can just use my amp, but when they return, this could be very handy!!!
I just got the captor original with my 5150 iii el34 50 watt, the built in preset on this demo were pretty meh to me, not worth the extra 250$. Don’t get me wrong the app is cool and the headphone jack for people who would use but I won’t, I can just run the headphone jack out of my 18i20 if I really needed to. My advice would be to get the 269$ captor and spend 30-60$ on some REALLY good IR packs, ownhammer or Lancaster has some amazing ones and use a free IR loader in your effects slot (pulse from Lancaster is perfect you can load in two IRS and blend them) and the tones I have are better than what I heard from this. Not to knock your video fluff I love the content, just some advice for someone on the fence of getting the captor or the captor x
What features does this one offer over the cheaper Two Notes Torpedo Captor Reactive Loadbox DI and Attenuator? Looking to buy one but curious which one is for me. Thanks
@@Endstation93 I would name it castrated version of torpedo live... and torpedo live in not valuable anymore. So if you want to build all in one rack box- suck it:D
Do the Captor X silence the speaker attached to a tube combo (hardwired speaker), in case you want to use your tube combo live but only hear the presets from the Captor that are fed to your mixer?
I would like to know how low of volume I could go with the switch in the back set to low ? I understand I could use the headphones. But I just prefer to play at low volumes. Thanks
Fluff, can I install the software on my Desktop iMac? I also have an iPad too, just in case...Also, are we hearing everything thru your Studio Monitors?

It's truly amazing and I don't have to worry about blowing up your amp and plus you have all the effects of the drum machine.
how would this compare to a directly plugging in guitar to a hi Z input on the interface with amp simulation only? Using an Apollo twin X? Does using the amp head really increase the quality?
So, am I able to use the reverbs, and the other features, out to my cab, while using the attenuator? fluff been using it for around 2 months why does it get red when using certain amp heads especially when using my carvin legacy amp i have to keep at low volume
I have two of the original Captors that I bought mainly for the attenuation. I can say that they are super transparent. Those only have a set -20 db attenuation, which is more than you'd think. The Captor X has -20 and -38 or something like that. Crazy good. I haven't tried a Waza Expander, but the Captors being significantly less costly, I'd say you cant go wrong.
The TAE is a proper attenuator. Set the amp where you want it and adjust volume via TAE. This is a load box/ silent recording tool with fixed attenuation which is of limited usefulness as volume will still need to be adjusted by changing amp parameters.
I have an evh 5150 III 50w, it has the option to change between 4ohm 8ohm and 16ohm , but the matching 2x12 cab is 16 ohm. Can I use the captor x with my current cab our would I need to get the captor 16?
The DetroitBlues I have a bias as I work for Two notes... The Waza is great (I have one) it’s a little different. Overkill for many people. Honestly haven’t used my Waza in almost a year.
@@JustinBryantdotcom - since you work for Two Notes, aside from size, I'm seemingly missing how this would be better than a Reload for studio use? Seems it would be great for a gigging musician though.
Completely different function - if you use the reload and Wall of Sound - you’re mostly there... the Twin Tracker, Stereo reverb and stereo outs are a big difference. The form factor and the grab and go ability, and midi etc for live use is what makes it a completely different type of Swiss Army knife.
Nah. TAE has a proper full sweep attenuator function, footswitchable effects (I’ve never liked fumbling on a phone app whilst playing anyway), built in power amp to boost smaller amps. And switchable impedance. If it’s purely for silent direct recording and nothing else the captor makes more sense.
@@tinman8014 I've played the TAE against the OxBox. The TAE sterilizes the tone and the OxBox captures it better. I believe its because the TAE turns a tube amp into a glorified pedal into a solid state amp.
I just got this Captor-X the other day but don't know how to get the fantastic sounds I'm getting into my DAW Studio One v3 Can anybody help me out? Also the headphone plug is good but I wish there was a way I could use my wireless Sony Bluetooth headphones.
Torpedo has different load type, REACT:IR more like Suhr`s load box, but if you turn off resonance you will have torpedo-like result. Still latency 1.3 ms with IRs of 180 ms. Torpedo latency depends on IR length.
I already own the captor 8 ohm, my 2 4x12 are 16ohm mono 8 ohm stereo. Just like to have that option being that they had three different choices originally and don’t want to have to settle going down to 8 ohms again and pay twice as much as the first one.
@@RasCuban33 I have torpedo reload and not sure if is the same here but speaker output of two notes is not related to input ohms. So you can have 8ohm amp output conneccted to two notes and then 4 ohm cab attached. I checked manual for this but is not mentioned.
@@Metalurg123 It`s not a copy, different load type, not just one coil, at start REACT:IR had 1.3 ms overall latency with IR length of 180 ms, Two Notes only recently got such IR length, but at price of higher latency.

If you switch off RESONANCE, you can make REACT:IR sound it Torpedo way, some peoples with previous Torpedo experience like it this way, but more prefer with RESONANCE engaged.
