Excellent easy to follow instructions and vid.I have put off cleaning my oven door for months as I was scared that I’d break it but it was so simple and now the door is lovely and Gleaming once more
Thank you so much, worked a treat, needed to get to marks on inner glass, couldn’t have done it without your clear video, all glass panels clean now. 👍🏻
This video is a god sent! My house rabbits live in the kitchen/diner and their fur was caught between the glass, I tried loads of methods to get it out but to no avail. Didn't realise taking the door off would be so simple. Thanks!
Excellent. My door glass shattered (crazed) some time after use (oven is ~20 years old). This showed me how it was assembled and how to get it off. My door is older than this and the inside glass levers off (can't remove the top strip as screwed to the handle). Neff identified the door (>£220) but its cheaper than a new oven or an engineer. Need to take bits off old door and remount glasses (Needed a sash cramp to squeeze the bottom section in fully). Door flipped back in easily (following video instructions) and now waiting to try it out. Thanks (£100+ saved!)
Thanks I was lost getting the door back using the manual but following your instructions it took a few minutes. Saved by you. Saved by UA-cam. Like. Like. Like.
Fantastic! So helpful. The glass on the oven bulb had come apart from the screw-in piece, which was still screwed in, so I had to use my ingenuity to get it out. Without being able to take the door off, it would have been impossible to see what I was doing. Thanks so much.
Needed this video and it was easier to find than the instruction manual. As usual with all POUSE around the HOUSE videos, easy to understand and no nonsense.
Sorry it was too late for you but thanks for watching. I may have other useful videos if you browse my channel such as using the Neff timer. Best of luck and thanks for watching.
Great explanation, thank you - I've just followed this to do both doors on our oven. Thank you. Just a word of caution, however. Part of the internal frame on smaller upper over door is razor sharp. I neatly sliced a finger while cleaning the inside glass surface - so be careful in there people!
I came across this video after I had managed to remove the glass plates without taking off the oven door - quite unnecessary if you are careful I found. But when I put it all back together, I was a bit disconcerted by the fact the two inner doors were touching - wasn't at all sure that that should be the case and spent a lot of time checking if there was any other way for them to sit, but then this video appears to show that was indeed correct. A couple of things would be helpful to mention: 1. there is an etching on the intermediate glass that says" top right". Interestingly enough, this is entirely upside-down and the instruction manual says to be sure to place the etching on the bottom left of the door! Go figure why this should be so. 2. Be sure to place the door with the grey facing smooth side facing outwards they say - and that means inwards towards the inside of the oven. Goodness me, who wrote this stuff! This video slots the glass plates in quick as a flash without any close ups to reassure you of the correct positioning, or to show that the two plates are basically touching before you replace the cover. But it is easy-peasy to do at least.
Thanks. That's great. Do you have instructions for removing the ovens from their housing? Do you have to remove both at once or can you just remove the bottom one?
They are one unit usually. If you open the door inside the front of the oven 'frame' there's usually two screws at the top and two at the bottom or maybe in the sides securing the oven to the wooden kitchen unit. Unscrew them then oven will slide out. But be careful as the will be a cable into the back. You need to turn power off and isolate first then watch you don't pull or pinch cable too tight. Gently does it!! Best of luck.
Excellent video. Unfortunately, my model of Neff oven is slightly different, so I can't take the glass out of my oven door to clean it thoroughly; but at least I can now detach the door from the rest of the oven.
Appreciated the video and replaced upper door ok but lower door a swine. The LH hinge 'snaps shut' the momnt I pick up the door to refit. I cannot set the hinge correctly before fitting. Any ideas?
Someone else had same problem. They said they pulled it down with a mole grips. I can't say I've ever had that problem. Best of luck with it. Thanks for watching.
This weekend hopefully. I've had a few busy weeks, editing and uploading is very time consuming. Full time job, children and loft conversion in my spare time, I barely have time to s***. Thanks for the support, the patience and thanks for watching!
Hello Mr Pouse, Not related to this video but I have changed the bulb on a Neff built-in cooker several times but this time the bulb glass blew itself off the bulb screw-in casing leaving the glass hanging on by the filament and the screw-in casing firmly screwed into the lamp assembly. I can get hold a little bit of the bulb casing but I am unable to unscrew it at all. Have you any experience of this problem, how to get the bulb casing out or indeed how to get the whole oven out so I can change the assemble from the outside? Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you. Pete
I've never tried to remove the bulb. I did fit the oven though. To remove the oven, with the door open there are a few screws on each side of the oven. Remove the screws and the oven should pull out. Just be careful if it is plugged in or hard wired, you will need to unplug or disconnect the cable. To allow oven to pull out safely. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
Isolate the supply to the light or the oven as a whole. Use long nosed pliers on the screw in bulb casing. You might need two pairs to get ample force on what's left of the bulb.
Great video. However, I am unable to hook the door back in. I think I am not able to get it far enough back or tight enough so the notches on each side sit on the bottom of each opening in the frame which means as I bring the door down one or other side pushes back out. Any ideas ? Thanks.
Which side does the inner glass go on ? It has writing saying “right side above” but im not sure if thats above facing me or the oven? I tried to look in the video but not sure
I find it really annoying that moisture always dribbles down between the panes of glass on my Neff oven door because it really is a pain to clean - but thanks for the video. Do you know to solve the problem of drips inside the door?
Great video. Unfortunately there are NEFF ovens that have a different construction. The inside glass seems to be glued a metal frame and is permanently stuck. I was not able to seperate the two pieces of glass.
Thanks. This was an ABSOLUTE PITA to reinstall. The Neff oven I have needs to be ultra careful that it is on the LAST notch (it has two) , otherwise it sits down too low and has a gap . After about 10 attempts, I found that by looking underneath from theb ottom , while guidingthe hinge , and pushing down firmly I was able to open door and engage hinge correctly. Took two of us . And plenty of swearing.
See my previous comment. Problem now sorted. By chance my plumber was servicing our boiler and my wife asked him about the oven door. He had the same problem but then got cross with it and mole-grips in hand he yanked open the hinge so that thee door could be fitted. Moral: if it doesn't work, be bold and get to grips with it. It's more robust than you think.
When you on ur ceo neff and you open the door immediately, and the oven system went off, hope it has not damage the oven system sir, because that is what I just did to mine now and my oven refuse to on, what should I do now
Just got a new oven and wold like to remove the doors to make it lighter for fitting. The oven looks just like the one here but the door hinges are different. No lift up clips It is a U1GCC0A.0B. Any ideas as to how to proceed?
Not sure what model that is. If it's a hide and slide then there are some clips to push on either side with a screw driver. But unfortunately without having the oven here I'm unable to see how it works or Id probably do another video! Best of luck both and thanks for watching.
@@POUSEaroundtheHOUSE The model is HB5D20F0 but having read the instructions I don’t believe that the door will come off but we are able to remove the glass panels for cleaning Thank you for the reply
Great video except I can't get the door back on! One hinge just won't go in far enough to tilt the door back to sit at an angle before the step of closing the clips and when I tilt it up and down the clip slams closed, I need help!!
Not sure on this one. Have you tried checking there isn't debris in the slot for the hinge? Or maybe you just need to line it up better while sloting door back in? Best of luck with it.
@@POUSEaroundtheHOUSE See my comment on 27/12. Ensuringthe hinge was FULLY in on last notch was the trick. But could only see by looking up fron the bottom. Thanks for posting the video, was a great help'
It doesn’t show you the two things your supposed to rotate your just telling us to rotate them you don’t say which way they rotate the grey ones are easy it’s the concealed ones I’m talking about
No it’s not simple, never ever buy a neff. You have to entirely dismantle a door to tighten 2 bolts. Why could they either have a bolt threat all the way through so you don’t need to dismantle the door, or simply weld a fixed handle on the front. I certainly won’t be buying Neff again & I’m about to get 2 new kitchens.
