The whole people not hearing/seeing walkers thing is pretty easily explained by the fact that repeated gunfire close range with them having ZERO ear protection will gradually wear down their hearing, and Rick was in direct proximity to a gunshot by Shane when he stabbed him so that plus his adrenaline is likely why he didn't hear Shane coming
The conversation with Rick and Carl in the barn is one of my favorite moments in the entire show the end credits song was sad too And what happened with Rick and Shane is heartbreaking in my opinion they went way back best friends since high school deputy partners they were like brothers its sad what this had come to I know people hated Shane and thinks he was a POS but when you make it really far into the show you start to realize he was right about most of the stuff rick disagreed on with him you might start to miss him like I do 😕
I like the opening with Shane, Daryl, Andrea and T Dog killing walkers together, I like the scene at 14:43 with Andrea and Glenn, rip Shane, Dale, Sophia, Patricia, Otis, Jimmy, Dave, Tony, Sean and Randall who died this season, the reason why Jimmy didn’t drive the RV because Rick and Carl were on top of the RV
Lori real gassed Shane up this episode and gave him hope so he decided to kill Rick so they can be together. Rick juked Shane dumbass and killed him, Shane tho he was smarter than Rick but Rick showed his ass. I wonder if that the same helicopter Rick saw and they started herding south, but took a detour after hearing the gunshot? I love love the music choices in these episodes. R.I.P. Jimmy Patricia and Randall. Shane I hope you rot in hell. I’m glad Rick kept the Jenner information to himself, them folks wasn’t ready for that information. Hello 👋 Another awesome video, 👍👍 Fun fact: the barn was built just to burn it at the end of this season, 👍 I felt that they should have had a rendezvous picked out with some emergency items hidden there in case they got separated, especially in a world such as this, but in this case they at least had the Sophia sign on the highway to fall back on, 😏 I personally feel they could have waited in vehicles pointed in the direction they are going to leave, and then at least given Andrea a bit more time to get there since she was on foot, 😏👍 In an interview Sarah Wayne Callie’s (Lori) said she felt that Lori was more in shock about Carl putting Shane down than being mad at Rick, but in my personal opinion if she was in shock she would not have acted the way she did while looking at Rick like he is a monster of the lowest kind, I can see the backing away being shock not slapping his hand away and looking like he was going to murder them all, especially after the things she whispered in his ear all about Shane possibly being a threat, 🤔 Because we witnessed it, we get to see the whole picture, so shocked reactions by anyone in the group would not come as a surprise, 👍 Not quite sure how Rick, Carl and Hershel missed Andrea considering Hershel was staring out the back window at the loss of the farm, 😏 Loved that introduction of the Katana Lady, 👍👍 Have a safe and wonderful weekend, 👋😀👋
Lori wasn't MAD at Rick for killing Shane... you can see when he was telling her about it she was sick to her stomach, bending over, realizing that what she said to Shane the last time she seen him is what pushed him into this.... she is feeling guilt, like it is her fault.... she doesn't get MAD at Rick UNTIL he said 'Carl put him down'. THAT is what her anger is about, that Carl was involved, that Carl, a kid, was aloud, by his father, to take that type of responsibility and that Rick said it so cold like it was normal.
I hear you! I would like to agree but! The last time she felt guilt about Shane she held him close cried and said she was sorry. The moment he said he killed him she let his ass go. After telling him what 2 days prior that he was going to have to kill Shane! Just trash. Had she gotten upset when he was talking about killing him over the fire I could absolutely understand it because Carl was really hurt but she pulled away the moment she knew he did it. That Heffa. Still to this day both Dale’s death and Shane’s death were the first character deaths to hit me hard Dale being the voice of reason and the moral compass in the group and all about having humanity is what’s right for us as human beings one of my favourites and Shane Rick’s best friend and right hand man until Daryl stepped up when he had to put down Dale Shane was another one of my favourites yeah I understand why Shane had to die was never suppose to happen but he had to I can tell that deep down Rick didn’t wanna kill his best friend but he had to Shane lost his mind there was no way out of that I just wish that they coulda worked things out and made up but sadly Rick killing Shane had to happen I’m sure this is gonna have a big impact on the group especially Rick because deep down he cared for him to this day I still miss Dale and Shane.
This was Rick’s breaking point. On one hand, he truly deeply cares for everyone in his group. He needs them to be safe above everything just like he always had, but the pressure and the constant paranoia was getting to him too. Killing Shane, worrying about his influence on Carl, the group doubting his choices and his marital problems with Lori made him lose it. Youre meant to root for Rick by default but if it was anyone else in his position, he’d be the new loose cannon Shane.
Probably a top 10 episode for me and Rick & Shanes scene was incredible. One of my favorites. Shane was one of my favorite characters, but he had to go. He was built for that world, but he went about things the wrong way and loving Lori was his downfall. Hershel is one of my favorite characters of all time on TWD. Probably top 5. Andrea was a top 3 comic character, Carl too, but I really disliked both of them on the show. Fun fact, Carl killed Shane in the comics when he saw Shane about to kill Rick. This also happened a lot earlier.
No matter when you die, you get to turn. If you die by natural causes, you turn. Get shot in the chest, snapping neck and etc. You get to come back as a Walker. The Wildfire Virus is still a mystery but seeing how the virus does is a one big nightmare you cannot escape. Now the whole group accepts the new reality of the situation after Rick finally tells the thing that Dr. Jenner told him back at the CDC in Season 1 finale. And finally Rick going on a Ricktatorship XD The final episodes of Season 2 is a major flashpoint on how they are starting to evolve and adapting to the growing world of the dead and people fighting. Season 3 will be the beginning of the GOOD SHIT STUFF and trust me on this. ;)
Lori had one job to do and that was to watch Carl and she fails at that EVERY DAMN TIME!! She didn't even know he was gone until the hoard was already on top of the farm. Think about the time-line of that. How much time had gone by and this is a zombie apocalypse for God sakes. The audacity I swear!
Little Comic Comparison here Carl shooting Shane zombified was a similarity to the comic because in the comics Shane was already dead by this point in the comics Shane is killed pretty quickly just before they left the Atlanta camp Shane tries to kill Rick but then Carl shoots Shane dead alive saving Rick it’s great that TV Shane outlived his comic counterpart but it’s sad that we lost a great character I thought Jon Bernthal did a great job playing the role as Shane the actor went on to do different things I followed the actor after he was killed off here he went on to be in great movies and I loved him as Frank Castle/The Punisher in Marvel’s Netflix shows Daredevil Season 2 and The Punisher He mighta been an asshole at the end but deep down he’s still a human being that cared about Rick and the group i still miss Shane.
After seeing the Rick and Lori scene many times I come to find out maybe she wasn’t mad at him about killing Shane. I think it was more about Carl being there that she was mad about.

Sarah Wayne Callies who portrayed Lori continued saying: "Lori's fear is that, in killing Shane, Rick became Shane and that he's turned into a man who's not a humane, compassionate person, but somebody who is now somewhat cold and bloodthirsty." Her anger was exacerbated by the fact that he allowed Carl to see Shane's death (not the stabbing scene where Rick killed Shane), even though it was not intentional, and he allowed Carl to put down Walker Shane even if it wasn't Rick's fault.

Rick experiences significant losses throughout the series, including the death of his best friend Shane and her wife fears that would affect him but she even blames him for the outcome of his actions, even though it was a beneficial move for the group and to her. If you noticed in Season 3, Rick was distant and cold to her. He has also become resentful of Lori's ambivalence and anger towards him after telling her he'd killed Shane. Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori Grimes, Rick's wife and Carl's mother, who is 9 months pregnant but is resented by Rick and Carl for her affair with Shane and the problems it led to and Rick was more focused on the unborn child, a place to stay for good and survival becomes the primary focus for Rick and the group after winter and spring. His survival instinct can lead to a shift in priorities and a disregard for personal relationships but she saw the effects of her choices and decisions and it pains her so much to see her husband doing that to her and her son even though she was the one to blame for the pain she experienced.

Lori was surprised when Rick kill Shave, mad when Carl killed walker Shane. Shane and Rick were best friends since Middle School, and Lori join their friendship in High School, Its not just black and white. It is difficult, because there were in each other lives for a very long time. So it was complicated.
I don't think Lori is TRYING to stir up anything. I will say I'm pretty annoyed with her for talking to him after she straight up told him to back off (and honestly why are you talking to a guy that tried to assault you?) HOWEVER, Shane is grown. Lori is not some great mastermind manipulator. Shane is just weak and psychotic and his actions and thoughts are his responsibility. Shane couldn't even put down Sophia or Dale...that was Rick and Daryl who were strong enough to do that. Shane's all great when he has to blow up but when it comes to what matters, he's a coward.

Oh and also, when Shane said to Rick that he had a weak boy about Carl, Shane himself is the only weak person as he can't put aside his feelings for Lori, his best friends wife.

Very few reactors blame Lori for Shane's death. What are you even waffling about? Lori is hated for very good reasons. First in season one, we get a glimpse into Lori's and Rick's marriage and she's an absolute nightmare by the looks of it (Rick opens up to Shane in the car, Lori opens up to random friend outside Carl's school and the verdict is in, she's a total psycho) Then she starts effing her husbands best friend like a week after Rick's "death". He comes back, she's not happy, takes Shane's side in almost everything. Gets pissy that Rick killed Shane. Her reaction is clear, she cared more for Shane than Rick, F her. Oh and where's Carl Lori? Where is he? She still doesn't know.
The way I read Lori's reaction was that she was accepting of Rick taking out Shane. She was angry about her son having a gun (she blames Rick) then for Carl being put in a position to have to take Walker Shane out (blames Rick instead of her son or herself and that Shane was important to Carl & their family. What that would do to her son). I agree that her character was horrible but as far as Ii can tell my reason is different from most people. I hated that she pushed misogyny rather than everyone being prepared and everyone sharing all of the duties. As for her dalliance with Shane? I don't think she encouraged him. I took it that she was trying to give him an inch in hopes of calming him down a bit. I think she said the things she said to Rick to keep him on the lookout because she saw the signs that Shane was losing it.

About the Lori scene this is my take on the subject based on the scene alone and also one interview Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori’s actress) did way back when S2 ended. Lori isn’t actually mad at Rick when Rick says he killed Shane she’s kinda shocked and you know kinda sad after all Shane did matter to her and to Rick as well when Rick says he wanted to kill Shane she’s scared that he may be turning into the new Shane (and that final scene with the beginning of the Ricktatorship didn’t help it either) But what really destroys her is to learn that Carl was the one to put him down she’s blaming both herself and Rick for not being able to protect Carl from the horrors of this new world we can clearly see how much Carl is changing and now he had to kill someone who meant a lot to him at that moment she’s feeling so many things and she can’t process it she doesn’t want anyone touching her or talking to her she just need a moment to herself so she can take a breath and process everything. You can see it all in the facial and corporal expressions of Lori you can see she’s still close to Rick and absorbing all the information that Rick is giving to her I killed him/ I wanted to kill him however that bigger reaction only happens after Rick says Carl put him down you can see that’s when she goes away and don’t want Rick to touch her she wasn’t scared or angry at him she just needed a moment to take a breath and process everything.
I was also baffled at Lori's reaction, like what the hell lady? Hello? He tried to kill your husband, Carl's father and your unborn child (which I'm sure she the reason she keeps Shane close is because deep down she knew it was his). But even then, he TRIED TO KILL YOUR HUSBAND!!!!! I still cannot believe she acted like that what (And I have watched this show twice)
I think she realized that it's all her fault. Lori literally told Rick that Shane needed to be "handled", so she's not mad about that. I think it's either a plot hole or she realized it's her fault.

Even if Lauri was upset at Rick for Carl killing walker Shane, that’s still her fault and not Rick’s. Lauri doesn’t watch Carl for crap while Rick is out doing important stuff, so either way, Lauri had no right to get pissed at Rick for either killing Shane, or Carl killing walker Shane.
If you pay attention to his verbiage in that scene Shane clearly just wanted to die at this point and baited Rick into killing him Jon Bernthal even wanted a reveal that Shane’s gun was empty the whole time.
I didn’t see it this way. I felt like Shane wanted to bait Rick into attacking him so he could kill Rick without any guilt. Shane’s gun wasn’t empty. He fired and missed when Rick knifed him.
God lori is one of the worst characters ever she just caused so many problems and because of her one of the best survivors was killed because she made him crazy, but really Shane was a flawed character but he was ahead of everyone in how to make decisions in the apocalypse. Also there was a tragic cut scenario in the scene where Rick and Shane where in a confrontation Shane was making Rick mad pointed the gun at him but it had no bullets meaning he never was going to shoot Rick.
Shane was just crazy, Lori didn't make him that way. Also there were bullets in the gun, the gun went off when Rick stabbed Shane. Everyone's making excuses for Shane like he isn't a grown ass man who was old enough to make his own decisions/choices. Blaming Lori is just a cop out but I guess it's not surprising blaming a woman for a man's own actions. Even women are doing it as if a man isn't an adult. Blaming Lori for not watching Carl enough, now that's different, Carl is a child.

I can't stand Shane, and he is most definitely at fault for everything he did wrong, but that doesn't change the fact that Lori is a huge manipulator and totally stirred shit up between Rick and Shane.

After telling him what 2 days prior that he was going to have to kill Shane! Just trash. Had she gotten upset when he was talking about killing him over the fire I could absolutely understand it because Carl was really hurt but she pulled away the moment she knew he did it. That Heffa. Still to this day both Dale’s death and Shane’s death were the first character deaths to hit me hard Dale being the voice of reason and the moral compass in the group and all about having humanity is what’s right for us as human beings one of my favourites and Shane Rick’s best friend and right hand man until Daryl stepped up when he had to put down Dale Shane was another one of my favourites yeah I understand why Shane had to die was never suppose to happen but he had to I can tell that deep down Rick didn’t wanna kill his best friend but he had to Shane lost his mind there was no way out of that I just wish that they coulda worked things out and made up but sadly Rick killing Shane had to happen I’m sure this is gonna have a big impact on the group especially Rick because deep down he cared for him to this day I still miss Dale and Shane.
This scene gets me every time You did this to us This is you not me Poor Rick had to kill his brother and best friend Carl’s first kill is Shane.
This was Rick’s breaking point. On one hand, he truly deeply cares for everyone in his group. He needs them to be safe above everything just like he always had, but the pressure and the constant paranoia was getting to him too. Killing Shane, worrying about his influence on Carl, the group doubting his choices and his marital problems with Lori made him lose it. Youre meant to root for Rick by default but if it was anyone else in his position, he’d be the new loose cannon Shane.
Probably a top 10 episode for me and Rick & Shanes scene was incredible. One of my favorites. Shane was one of my favorite characters, but he had to go. He was built for that world, but he went about things the wrong way and loving Lori was his downfall.
Hershel is one of my favorite characters of all time on TWD. Probably top 5. Andrea was a top 3 comic character, Carl too, but I really disliked both of them on the show.
Fun fact, Carl killed Shane in the comics when he saw Shane about to kill Rick. This also happened a lot earlier.
If you watch it again, they show him load the shotgun at least twice visually
No matter when you die, you get to turn. If you die by natural causes, you turn. Get shot in the chest, snapping neck and etc. You get to come back as a Walker. The Wildfire Virus is still a mystery but seeing how the virus does is a one big nightmare you cannot escape. Now the whole group accepts the new reality of the situation after Rick finally tells the thing that Dr. Jenner told him back at the CDC in Season 1 finale. And finally Rick going on a Ricktatorship XD
The final episodes of Season 2 is a major flashpoint on how they are starting to evolve and adapting to the growing world of the dead and people fighting.
Season 3 will be the beginning of the GOOD SHIT STUFF and trust me on this. ;)

Little Comic Comparison here Carl shooting Shane zombified was a similarity to the comic because in the comics Shane was already dead by this point in the comics Shane is killed pretty quickly just before they left the Atlanta camp Shane tries to kill Rick but then Carl shoots Shane dead alive saving Rick it’s great that TV Shane outlived his comic counterpart but it’s sad that we lost a great character I thought Jon Bernthal did a great job playing the role as Shane the actor went on to do different things I followed the actor after he was killed off here he went on to be in great movies and I loved him as Frank Castle/The Punisher in Marvel’s Netflix shows Daredevil Season 2 and The Punisher He mighta been an asshole at the end but deep down he’s still a human being that cared about Rick and the group i still miss Shane.
After seeing the Rick and Lori scene many times I come to find out maybe she wasn’t mad at him about killing Shane. I think it was more about Carl being there that she was mad about.

Sarah Wayne Callies who portrayed Lori continued saying: "Lori's fear is that, in killing Shane, Rick became Shane and that he's turned into a man who's not a humane, compassionate person, but somebody who is now somewhat cold and bloodthirsty." Lori was surprised when Rick kill Shave, mad when Carl killed walker Shane. Shane and Rick were best friends since Middle School, and Lori join their friendship in High School, Its not just black and white. It is difficult, because there were in each other lives for a very long time. So it was complicated.

I don't think Lori is TRYING to stir up anything. I will say I'm pretty annoyed with her for talking to him after she straight up told him to back off (and honestly why are you talking to a guy that tried to assault you?) HOWEVER, Shane is grown. Lori is not some great mastermind manipulator. Shane is just weak and psychotic and his actions and thoughts are his responsibility. Shane couldn't even put down Sophia or Dale...that was Rick and Daryl who were strong enough to do that. Shane's all great when he has to blow up but when it comes to what matters, he's a coward.

And yes, Shane projects a lot. He loved to beef with Dale, who he could easily take on, like oh you're a real man picking on some old guy who may be a bit too nosy. Overall, Shane is interesting to watch but I am very much over blaming Lori for all of that (especially when Shane on his own volition, pointed a gun at Rick's back.)
Very few reactors blame Lori for Shane's death. What are you even waffling about? Lori is hated for very good reasons. First in season one, we get a glimpse into Lori's and Rick's marriage and she's an absolute nightmare by the looks of it (Rick opens up to Shane in the car, Lori opens up to random friend outside Carl's school and the verdict is in, she's a total psycho) Then she starts effing her husbands best friend like a week after Rick's "death". He comes back, she's not happy, takes Shane's side in almost everything. Gets pissy that Rick killed Shane. Her reaction is clear, she cared more for Shane than Rick, F her. Oh and where's Carl Lori? Where is he? She still doesn't know.

The way I read Lori's reaction was that she was accepting of Rick taking out Shane. She was angry about her son having a gun (she blames Rick) then for Carl being put in a position to have to take Walker Shane out (blames Rick instead of her son or herself and that Shane was important to Carl & their family. What that would do to her son). I agree that her character was horrible but as far as Ii can tell my reason is different from most people. I hated that she pushed misogyny rather than everyone being prepared and everyone sharing all of the duties.
As for her dalliance with Shane? I don't think she encouraged him. I took it that she was trying to give him an inch in hopes of calming him down a bit. I think she said the things she said to Rick to keep him on the lookout because she saw the signs that Shane was losing it.

About the Lori scene this is my take on the subject based on the scene alone and also one interview Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori’s actress) did way back when S2 ended.
Lori isn’t actually mad at Rick when Rick says he killed Shane she’s kinda shocked and you know kinda sad after all Shane did matter to her and to Rick as well when Rick says he wanted to kill Shane she’s scared that he may be turning into the new Shane (and that final scene with the beginning of the Ricktatorship didn’t help it either) But what really destroys her is to learn that Carl was the one to put him down she’s blaming both herself and Rick for not being able to protect Carl from the horrors of this new world we can clearly see how much Carl is changing and now he had to kill someone who meant a lot to him at that moment she’s feeling so many things and she can’t process it she doesn’t want anyone touching her or talking to her she just need a moment to herself so she can take a breath and process everything.
You can see it all in the facial and corporal expressions of Lori you can see she’s still close to Rick and absorbing all the information that Rick is giving to her I killed him/ I wanted to kill him however that bigger reaction only happens after Rick says Carl put him down you can see that’s when she goes away and don’t want Rick to touch her she wasn’t scared or angry at him she just needed a moment to take a breath and process everything.
I was also baffled at Lori's reaction, like what the hell lady? Hello? He tried to kill your husband, Carl's father and your unborn child (which I'm sure she the reason she keeps Shane close is because deep down she knew it was his). But even then, he TRIED TO KILL YOUR HUSBAND!!!!! I still cannot believe she acted like that what (And I have watched this show twice)

If you pay attention to his verbiage in that scene Shane clearly just wanted to die at this point and baited Rick into killing him Jon Bernthal even wanted a reveal that Shane’s gun was empty the whole time.
I didn’t see it this way. I felt like Shane wanted to bait Rick into attacking him so he could kill Rick without any guilt. Shane’s gun wasn’t empty. He fired and missed when Rick knifed him.

God lori is one of the worst characters ever she just caused so many problems and because of her one of the best survivors was killed because she made him crazy, but really Shane was a flawed character but he was ahead of everyone in how to make decisions in the apocalypse.
Also there was a tragic cut scenario in the scene where Rick and Shane where in a confrontation Shane was making Rick mad pointed the gun at him but it had no bullets meaning he never was going to shoot Rick.
Shane was just crazy, Lori didn't make him that way. Also there were bullets in the gun, the gun went off when Rick stabbed Shane.
Everyone's making excuses for Shane like he isn't a grown ass man who was old enough to make his own decisions/choices. Blaming Lori is just a cop out but I guess it's not surprising blaming a woman for a man's own actions. Even women are doing it as if a man isn't an adult.

Telling him to stay instead of leave, telling him to leave Carl alone one second then being pissed at him for blowing Carl off, having him come down from the tower just so she could thank him for everything and apologize...and that one really got in his head, it was the catalyst for Shane trying to kill Rick that final time.
I can't stand Shane, and he is most definitely at fault for everything he did wrong, but that doesn't change the fact that Lori is a huge manipulator and totally stirred shit up between Rick and Shane.
