I remember the '80s very well. I was 21 in 1980. I had a brand new '82 XJ650, known as the Seca 650. Nice all around bike, upright riding position. Not a crotch rocket, but handled very well, and was comfortable enough to actually ride somewhere. It was also shaft drive. Silver with blue and white stripes.

I currently own an XJ 900 Division, previously I owned an XJ750 Seca.
I'm a big fan of the XJ's, and shaft drive.
I have to say it's glowing no me. And I agree the shaft drives are fantastic.
I had one of those for about 3 years and absolutely loved it, I loved the way it lifted the rear end with the drive shaft and those dials, wonderful
