Even getting noticed by chad!
agreed
one of the tenor greats of this era
Buster2938 thank you!!
Agreed!
Absolutely right
AdamVonBadam chillllllllllllll don’t go too far now... Chad LB is amazing but Coltrane is the Greatest of all time and this isn’t even comparable bruh
Connor Sobieri I disagree, I think chad is up there with some of the other greats including Coltrane but music is all about fun and expressing yourself, not competition :)
Dude the pianist is straight up a genius. Quotes chads riff in the first chorus and then uses work song later, and drops chords on some crazy rhythms. Fuckin heat
I think McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, and Hal Galper, might have something to say......
Came here for solo ideas. Ended up crying but that’s ok
i stg i did this too
Lol... there’s some really good licks in this that are pretty easy to learn. I suggest slowing it down and starting with the very first one at 0:45!
F
I noticed a couple things I’m gonna start implementing. He does a 2 5 1 in the 4th measure into the 4 chord, but he does a tritone sub on the 5, which is interesting
Lol, that's what Chad does :-)
Going all Dex in the first couple choruses, nice man......
🔥🔥🔥 solos across the board!! Chad is a genius, especially for such a young age, and will very likely carry a new wave of jazz saxophonists like bird, Trane, and brecker did.
Drying Machine Hampton thank you! That means a lot to me!
slammin' ! SO good Chad. Always melodic and soulful even when you "go out."
I love that you always respect the song, make the songs important and put them first
and then give them your treatment. As always your band is the best. Thx again
David Eastlee thank you, David!! That means a lot to me!
literally, insane! the only words I can describe this is "Modern Jazz Legend" You will be remembered! INSANE!!!
1:46 woooooo

Chad Snider thank you, Chad! Glad you’re enjoying the materials, and our name!

A Sonny Rollins original. Sonny will be proud of you.
Thanks to you and this quartet for bringing some joy to all of us during this dark time we are all going through.😎
Joe Smith thank you, Joe! Stay safe and be well!
this made quarantine longer.
Once the pianist locked in with you,, the band started killing it! One of my favorite headers!
This is fuckin insane holy shit, some of the best blowing I’ve literally ever heard...
1:17 wooooooooooo
Killin' it

@@ChadLefkowitzBrown with all these standard recordings you've been doing, does that mean a standard sessions vol.2 is gonna happen in the future?
WOW! totally outstanding, you are the greatest saxophonist (and musician) I have heard in 37 years (that's when I first heard Mike Brecker!)!
Thanks for the inspiration.
(of course all these players are monsters)

Really inspiring sax playing.
Im about to transcribe this song, thanks for the high quality recording
Awesome! Definitely transcribing some of those licks!
I have to play this chart for my college audition, and I have to solo for 2-3 choruses after playing the head. Came to look for cool solo ideas, and as a trumpet player I'm left staring at my instrument longingly as I cry
Amazing work as always🔥🔥🔥
Henry Bangerter thank you, Henry!!
Dude !!!!!!! You on it man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!👍🏾
1:32 al lick from the Oleo video.
3:10 a lick from Joe Avery's Second Line.

First 4 choruses. Ok, I can learn the first 4 choruses. Summer project.
Killer as always Chad! I love it🔥🔥
James Howard thank you, James!! :)
OMG A W E S O M E !!!!!!!!
The start of the Chad solo reminds me James Carter's j.c on the set xD. (l)
Sweet piano solo too
Chad King of the side slip 😭🙌🏾 Also loved the nod to the old style of tenor playing towards the start of his solo and the Dexter style too. I think I heard half of “the lick” at 3:41 😏
Could you play inner urge next !!!
Awesome outside licks, love it!!
uplifting, thank you
3:01 spicy ending, 1:02 cool blues lick?
Everyone is so in sync, great playing.
This is too killing and class.... my ears are blessed ooo
Corey!! Swanginnnn
Brilliant playing Chad. Great quotes and that tone!! Love it 😍
really putting the "madness" in tenor madness
O M G! the sound is amazing!!
This was the first standard I ever memorized. 👍 Good job!

nice
I REALLY LOVE YOUR GUY’S SHIT. and at a time like this you all are bringing a whole lot of joy to everyone with your music. I get inspired by y’all literally everyday. 🙏
Takin it to a new level. Fresh....Chad what do you think about the old school tenor players, ?Jimmy Forrest in particular.
This is absolutely fire man, as a fellow Sax player you "blow me away" lmao. I was wondering though, as a big fan of Free Jazz (weird right?) I wanted to know your thoughts on the works of say, Albert Ayler, Cecil Taylor, Coleman and the rest of the cats. Thanks always for the great music!
Muy bien! Saludos.
Neato
Outstanding! Thank you for posting, Chad :-) Can you please do Nishi by Sonny Rollins? It's a bit of a more recent blues by Mr. Rollins, but has such a blistering head. You guys would absolutely murder it.
Wow!!! Incredible, you all just sound too tight. Can’t get any better than this.
Daniel Chernomaz thanks man!! That means a lot!
sick!
Face melted
Echoes of Sonny Rollins. Tribute to Sonny
who?
pure talent man. have you ever thought about “yes or no” by wayne shorter? he’s my favorite sax player and you remind me of him.
Perfect)
