Good day sir Coco Code, I have a Video request. There are things said about a "Mission System" in PlayFab but i couldn´t figure out how to use it. Maybe you can do and make a tutorial on how to do so? The System is like a Quest System, I suppose, and since you´ve added the Virtual Currency, maybe, as a reward, players could get a bit of Virtual Currency (like 100 Gold), after they finished the Quest/Mission? Maybe you could show how to implement quests, by showing maybe 2 examples? Thank you very much for your work and that you took your time to read this comment. PlayFab is really weird, Virtual Currency is a Dictionary why we just can't update the currency from setting the Dictionary directly! but instead we have to call another two separate methods for that and just more API calls , 3 API calls just to update currency. Why not just be like player stats, we can set them from the Dictionary. So in my opinion it is useless to use this feature and waste of time and API calls, I recommend you to use Player Statistics to update and keep track for currency it is much easier and faster.
Adding currency from server side helps us to stop hackers from hacking game currency ? Specially for competitive games ? Like leaderboards. Please reply
Hey, that is a great question! For sure virtual currency as shown in the video is way safer than doing it only manually. But on the other hand, please keep in mind, that it is just a first step. For example method I'm showing in the video to add currency is not 100% safe, since some cheaters might be using that to grant currency. To make it more secure, we should disable the ability to give coins on the client, and move that so some kind of a cloud functions to keep it secure. Hope that answers your question! 🎉
Thanks for sharing with us your knowledge, love your content, one problem that I have is how can I wait for login and inventory to finish the request before I display the values to the screen, I placed my playfab manager into the intro / splash screen at the start of the game so by the time it reaches the main menu everything should be loaded but was wondering if there's something that would wait for these methods to finish first and then continue to the next screen /method, Thank you
I know this is super late but you can probably assign the script you use for the loading screen change or the loading screen itself, then under OnLoginSuccess you can call the thing that'd close the screen. This is 7 months late so you probably figured it out.
@@CupidGTag thanks for the explanation, I did something similar, waited until everything finished in the loading screen and only then I’ve progressed to the main menu, that solved my problem

Put Playfab manager on object with DontDestroyOnLoad and create a singleton as shown in the video. Hope that helps!
