Hi Joe, I am from Canada, Irish background,,,my Grandfather was a welterweight Champion boxer, Golden Gloves. This message touched my soul, and I believe this message was for me. I have been under attack by the enemy, like most Christians today. I needed to get this message, to fight the good fight again,,,,like my Grandfather did. God works through us in ways that seem not Christian, like boxing, but there is always a higher purpose to everything. I believe God was and is preparing us for this final battle of good and evil! I've been an addict using speed for 21 years, I've tried to stop many times and failed until I prayed to God to give me the strength and help me to stop using, that was almost 8 months ago, I haven't been using anymore and this time I didn't have the bad feeling that I always had before when I tried to stop using drugs, I didn't get any other help from nobody except the strength that God gave me after praying to Him. Thank you God, I'm so happy and proud of myself now, I know you're there and I love you God.

I left boxing because of the Godlessness that has taken over, it was such a beautiful sport, heavenly, it was my passion and i think if I didn't leave it, i would have worked my way up to fight these men because of God given talents and strengths but i chose to be a humble pipefitter and i do not regret my decision, the things that fame can do to people is the devils work. Stay strong with Christ.

My husband walked away from the Lord and our family doing the same thing, he is deep in sin, walked away from us, hanging with younger single men. My mom told me that my husband would wake up one day and ask where he was and would run him and repent. This is inspiring, and I hope that my husband experiences the same. I had an encounter with two cult members outside of a mall. I dismantled the arguments in only a few minutes with the inerrant word of God. They asked me to leave after a few minutes of calling me over to them. I told them I'd pray for them, but they told me not to. I said I would anyway. We need to fight evil in whatever way we can find on whatever platform we can find. God is still in charge and will be forever.
I love it when Fury goes all out and talks of Jesus. Wilder has had his battles, too. Has a daughter with spina bifada. He had no money at the time and was desperate. Started fighting to help put food on the table. Hearing him talk about Jesus now gives me chills. Love both of those warriors.
Because of that face off when wilder said my god against your GOD....Jesus said; challenge accepted, and at the last few seconds right on time like always, angels ministered to Fury while he was lying there knocked out and he got up effortlessly. God is an awesome God! The look on Wilders face was priceless!
The conversation at the round table, between Wilder & Fury, actually happened months AFTER their first fight (where he rose off the canvas in the 12th round, with GOD’s help). But after Wilder made these bold & wildly foolish statements, Tyson did indeed go on to beat him in dominating fashion in their second fight. Jesus is indeed the LORD GOD. I'm a Christian man, who boxed as an amateur from age 16 until 30. I decided to give it another go at 40, as a professional, despite the naysayers, I kept my faith firmly rooted in Jesus Christ, believing that God would restore my youth and keep me safe. I'm currently 42 years old, and my professional mark is 2-0 with 2 KO's. The Lord answered my prayers, as well, my opponents didn't suffer permanent injury. Praise The Lord. God is good!
My sister got really sick and we didn't know what was wrong with her. She was in the hospital for about 2 weeks, give or take. The Dr's said she had an infection in her heart, and one of her veins leading to her heart was really small. Well, we prayed and prayed, and one day, she woke up and started writing so she could talk to us. She had pipes all through her, so she couldn't talk regularly. The Dr came in and said that her infection was just gone. They didn't know how, and he even said it was a miracle. The next week she got to come home. We got to spend a year with her. She also died 3 times when she first got to the hospital. But after she was out, she was depressed and just wasn't herself. She didn't want to be here anymore. And then she got sick again and passed away. God brought her back for us. But he knew she was miserable and didn't want to be here anymore, so he took her home. That was 6 years ago. And it still feels like yesterday.

But I also didn’t want to turn to God. Even though I believe in him . Bc I lost all my joy for living. Now…… I beg for his forgiveness. And pray he makes me a better person. We too lost our son 11 years ago. He was saved & so are we, so our hope & joy come from knowing we will see him again. Only Jesus could have gotten us thru that time & He continues to bless us daily. We lost dad 3 months after our son. He was saved too & seeing him with Jesus is all we need. 🎶because He lives 🎵 I can face tomorrow 🎶because He lives 🎵all fear is gone

The one thing I can say with absolute certainty is for every injury or every life lost in a ring 100s of 1000s of lives have been saved training learning discipline improving health fitness etc the balance is entirely one sided.

It’s another metaphor for turning your back on those who betray you. Yeah that’s what I thought once, but then it doesn’t make sense because Jesus never threw a punch to anyone (in fact, he cursed Peter when he chopped off the man’s ear and then even healed it). As Christians, we should live a life like Jesus’ and instead of harming others (no matter if it’s only for sport) we should be kind to them and pray for them, even if they are our enemy/rival/opponent. I used to be a skilled kickboxer. I even won an amateur national championship in my country. But now that I’m way closer to God than I was back then, I feel like God is guiding me away from these aggressive combat sports. I’m not sure, and TAKE THIS LIKE A GRAIN OF SALT, but there’s a possibility that God may use some people to spread Christianity through sports like this one. At the end of the day he used David to defeat Goliath and then made him king of Israel. There are plenty more examples like this one where God asked certain people to do something that would harm someone else but at the end would benefit the people of God and would bring glory to Him. Honestly this is a bit confusing, and I invite you all to find an answer to this through reading the Bible and prayer or by talking about it with other Christians or even in this comment section. At the end of the day, we don’t know for sure what God is planing and why He wants to execute his plan in the way it is planned. We can just pray so that we and other people can discern if we are called by God to practice certain contact sport (like Tyson’s case, probably) or if it’s a trap for us from the enemy. It’s tricky to figure this out but remember the Bible tells us to submit every thought to the Lord. This would mean examining why we have the desire to practice these sports; for fame/recognition, for money, to take out our rage on others, etc., or sincerely for God and for what He is calling us to do? Thanks for reminding me of my faith.. life's full of ups and downs, and for the time being it's more downs than ups lately.. but that's kinda the beauty of life itself anyways isn't it.! You can't truly feel joy if you don't know pain, and it's hard to really appreciate things without knowing it's value or the sacrifices behind it made for you to be able to enjoy it.. Came across this post randomly and I'm glad i did, cause it Rebooted my mind and made me feel something i haven't felt in a while, which is hope and faith.. 🙏🏻 But can be difficult to see or feel sometimes,even if the day is bright and the Skye is blue, but the darkness has it's way of making it hard to open up your eyes and see all the beauty that surrounds us, cause we humans have a bad habit of letting ourselves get lost in the darkness and let it shut out the light and hope that's usually beaming down on us. I keep doing the same fckng mistakes myself over and over, even though I know better.. but someway it doesn't really help how much you know or whatever.. you become your own worst enemy and need someone or something to poke the bubble you're trapped in to be able to see the light again and free your mind from your own prison, so thanks for bringing the needle man ❤️

I am a Christian and I never have liked boxing. I never understood why somebody would want to prove that they’re better than somebody else and to prove that they could knock that person down and maybe knock that person out. I feel no one should cause harm to another person and there’s times when these people end up in the hospital and I just never feel that that’s something that needs to happen.
Here it is when you’re tempted with millions of dollars and you have a lot of money and you have a family to feed yes you’re gonna want to take it and do it especially for glory and people been doing stuff like that for thousands of years just like the Roman Colosseum. Its not necessarily evil if its done with pure hearts like just wanting to be the best you can be like goku that fighting character. He didn’t enjoy hurting anyone.
Boxing is a technical sport, speed, power defensive and offensive moves and its proficient footwork, creating angles. It's like chess but in a physical form. Scientific studies show the endorphines created through exercising by doing Boxing has helped many people who suffer from depression. There are physiological benefits. To prevent injuries there is a referee, albeit like all contact sports i.e. American football, Judo, Wrestling there are going to be injuries from time to time it is inevitable but a very low risk. It can help in self defense situations you must be able to defend yourself if someone broke into your home for example. Appearance, fitness, confidence, safety and it's fun are all other reasons. Sparring is practicing so even in this setting it's safer because you're not trying to hurt the other person you're simply working on improvements i.e blocking or countering, both fighters are fighting at near 50%. So I disagree with you to a large extent because there's a lot of benefits to it.
As a former amateur boxer and christian that got to train & spar with great old champs, like Wilfredo Bazooka Gomez, Jose Vellon, Esteban de Jesus , I truely enjoyed this episode. That being said, just cause I love Christ doesn't mean I am a wimp, I will bust lose on anyone that tries to hurt my loved ones or the innocent. Even at my old age. Be blessed lil bro

I walked towards a fire that was a little less than a 1/4 mile from my home. The fire was ready to come down the raving, and the wind would have made this fire come straight down from a 2 laned HY. I live in the rural our rode is a mile from the HY when you turn in. However, with the mountains and curves, the fire was ready to jump the HY. I walked down our road, praying out loud and asking Jesus to please not let the fire jump the HY. I kept praying. 🙏 Men on top of the HY were laughing. I don't know if they were laughing at me because I was praying so loudly. All of a sudden, from the northeast, a blast of wind hit me from behind and pushed me forward. That's how strong the wind was. I looked back at my house and saw nothing but smoke. Nothing was on fire. I looked up at the HY, and the fire had been pushed into its already burnt area. The fire wasn't coming. I yelled to the top of my lungs, "Thank you, Jesus Amen." He answered my prayers. 😇🙏✝️ Accept Jesus into your heart, and he will answer your prayers. Love Jesus and let him into your heart and see what happens. It's beautiful. 🙏✝️ 😇

Like I said I didn't know if they were laughing at me however, I'm the type of person who can talk in front of a big crowd and I don't give a damn if people don't like me or laugh at me. If they were laughing at me for praying that a fire didn't burn me out. Oh well, Jesus stopped them from laughing. Isn't it blastomey to laugh at somebody who is praying out loud to be saved from a fire ?? Please correct me if I'm wrong. To me, it was like they were laughing at Jesus, not me. Firstly, good video, thanks for the upload. I’m an ex bouncer (before Christ), always trained but never boxed professionally. Like you I would wake up in the early Sunday hours to watch big fights. South Africa is an extremely violent country, I live on a farm and which is vulnerable to heinous murders. I carry a firearm on me all the time. Self-defence is a Christian concept, being aware of the enemy’s tactics and the fact evil prowls around looking for victims is wise. Our lives are precious to God, we have to protect our families as well as our own lives. But my faith is not in weapons or being able to defend myself, my faith is in God to keep me from evil, and from situations that I’m not able to cope with by myself. Before I was saved I was fearless and got into fights quickly with little provocation. After being saved I lost that edge, I lost all desire to hurt anyone and even in a self-defence situation I’m still reluctant. I do not operate under the same spirit as before. Can a Christian box for money in a ‘sport’ that give an opponent brain damage? Put him a wheelchair for life? With an opponent who has done you no wrong, and previous to the bout, was of no threat to you? We are glorifying modern day gladiators, giving the crowd what it wants - to see blood. I too love to see boxers giving honour to God, and yes boxing has given some men purpose. Do I believe that God was with George Foreman and helped him become Heavyweight championship again after he came to Salvation? Yes, I do. Listen to his story. It sounds like a contradiction but hear me out, I think God can use (or redeem) some situations but I cannot see this as his primary will. We may have become desensitized to how much God hates seeing men created in his image do damage to each other. I’ve wrestled with this for the reason you wrestle with it, because there is an underlying conviction. Boxing stories are not the moral equivalent of ‘Chariots of fire’, even though stories like ‘Rocky’ are inspiring. Google boxers who were seriously injured in the ring. I know of very few undefeated champions, and most of them are not Christian. Our only champion is Jesus Christ our Lord.

You have to separate a job or profession from Christianity sometimes. For example, there are soldiers and armies fighting for the course of their country. There are Christians amongst them. Some have chosen a career way long before they met christ. They can't just abandon their entire career. I think what really matters is believing in Christ and listening to the holyspirit directives.
My late husband was a former professional kickboxer, despite having Sickle Cell Anemia and a heart murmur. He won four championships. He lost the awards moving around the country. His health problems took him from me in 2016. He saw angels several times and was told by two different people that he had two twelve foot tall angels walking behind him. God protects His own. God has kept me safe while walking around Baton Rouge, La, Reading, Pa, (pronounced red), and Philadelphia, Pa. God is alive.

He was brutally murdered through crucifixion and rose again on the third day. If you repent and trust in Him He will forgive your sins, and give you eternal life.

I noticed that his eyes were tight and determined until Tyson started saying his god was nothing and he was going to knock him out, then the guys eyes softened and started to lose their confidence... Its a subtle switch but you can see the uncertainty come over him as Tyson speaks with the power of the Holy Spirit.
I boxed amateur and professional. The eyes are definitely a window to your soul. It will tell u Alot, but you also have to use your peripheral vision to notice punches coming. It's the same with life.

I am not intending to come off judgmental when I say this. It is my opinion only. I think there is a difference between a sport that has the goal of winning a game and a sport that intends to beat someone into submission. I also used to be an American hockey fan. I loved the brutal hits against the boards. I loved the fighting that took place when a team sent out their "enforcer."my team was the Philadelphia Flyers. They were known as "the broad street bullies." I realized at some point how fruitless it all is. I, like many fans, put people up on a pedestal as "my favorite player." I realized that, in many ways, it took my eyes off of my Savior. I am not better than anyone else. This is a walk every man must grapple with. Every man must contend with the Lord to see what he does through the eyes of his savior. That all being said. I love your ministry, brother.
I can understand both sides. i used to photograph boxing but became convicted after i came to know the lord and stopped. there are many people that are believers in the industry but what i truly felt when i was editing the photos was that it wasn’t glorifying God. the people i was photographing weren’t all glorifying God and the promotions they were getting from companies that they wore on their shorts or banner weren’t glorifying God.
I was into boxing and wanted to box professionally. I asked a pastor what he thought about my goal to become a fighter. He said it was a sport but I wasn’t convinced it was just a sport. I finally realized it wasn’t a sport God would approve of because this sport is about hurting your opponent. I also think there is a possibility when in the heat of a match a boxer might get carried away and hit with bad intentions. I feel that by nature it is a brutal sport that can end up motivating others to fight outside the ring.
Even Tyson saying all his belts are useless and means nothing to him. Bloodsports is not a holy way to live. Your body is a temple of God! Don’t abuse it or someone elses!

Your questions and testimony about your own strives and how we should feel about sports really connected with me. I first started kick boxing for a short while, then karate, then Tae Kwon do & went back to karate. I love that I can train hard with the goal always being that at some point, I might need to save my own or someone else's life. That is just my own motivation. It's already saved me and I'm truly grateful.

Learning he stood up for GOD against this fighter was totaly inspirational.....tears in my eyes.....surprisingly I had just read 2 days ago about a story of a boxer who was born premature and his dad said he would live and grow up to be 7' tall and be heavy weight champion....I didn't know it was the same guy until your videl....just wow how God brings the story together. I’m a retired boxer n kickboxer, I worked for a UFC Hall of Famer over 10yrs, training managing n matchmaking also did many of our own promotions n got mma sanctioned in California, it was a battle to stay close to the Lord in that life, I know I had sum dark times wit the Lord for a few yrs, the traveling overseas, the fame n money is great for a while but it takes a hard toll on a soul, it happened to me n I see it happening to the Fury’s, injuries caught uo to me n had to retire bout 10 yrs ago, im a ex convict n God blessed me mightly n got to do things n go places few convicts get to experience, even tho im very fortunate n grateful to the Lord if I had to do it over again I wud have not took this path, it hurt my relationship with the Lord n I lost ground with Him I still have not recovered, my oldest n youngest sons were fighters n we got to travel overseas together but it was so hard to fight n train n stay on top we are not close anymore, I pray everyday day God wud use me to bring glory to His name my last decade or 2 that I have left 🙏👊🏼

@ralhfeay8857 I love martial arts. I approach with the same goal - this gives me fitness, stamina and means I can defend myself and anyone else. It's so important to learn to respect your body. Jesus helps me to be humble and do my best to stay fit and healthy. We don't do martial arts to start fights but to end fights. 💯🙏🙏💚
My youngest son came to faith because of Tyson. I became a believer 4 yrs ago. But i could not be happier with the influence Tyson had on my son of 15yrs old back then. I've been an addict using speed for 21 years, I've tried to stop many times and failed until I prayed to God to give me the strength and help me to stop using, that was almost 8 months ago, I haven't been using anymore and this time I didn't have the bad feeling that I always had before when I tried to stop using drugs, I didn't get any other help from nobody except the strength that God gave me after praying to Him.

I left boxing because of the Godlessness that has taken over, it was such a beautiful sport, heavenly, it was my passion and i think if I didn't leave it, i would have worked my way up to fight these men because of God given talents and strengths but i chose to be a humble pipefitter and i do not regret my decision, the things that fame can do to people is the devils work. I had an encounter with two cult members outside of a mall. I dismantled the arguments in only a few minutes with the inerrant word of God. They asked me to leave after a few minutes of calling me over to them. I told them I'd pray for them, but they told me not to. I said I would anyway. We need to fight evil in whatever way we can find on whatever platform we can find. God is still in charge and will be forever.

I decided to give it another go at 40, as a professional, despite the naysayers, I kept my faith firmly rooted in Jesus Christ, believing that God would restore my youth and keep me safe. I'm currently 42 years old, and my professional mark is 2-0 with 2 KO's. The Lord answered my prayers, as well, my opponents didn't suffer permanent injury. Praise The Lord. God is good!

My sister got really sick and we didn't know what was wrong with her. She was in the hospital for about 2 weeks, give or take. The Dr's said she had an infection in her heart, and one of her veins leading to her heart was really small. Well, we prayed and prayed, and one day, she woke up and started writing so she could talk to us. She had pipes all through her, so she couldn't talk regularly. The Dr came in and said that her infection was just gone. They didn't know how, and he even said it was a miracle. The next week she got to come home. We got to spend a year with her. She also died 3 times when she first got to the hospital. But after she was out, she was depressed and just wasn't herself. She didn't want to be here anymore. And then she got sick again and passed away. God brought her back for us. But he knew she was miserable and didn't want to be here anymore, so he took her home. That was 6 years ago. And it still feels like yesterday.

The one thing I can say with absolute certainty is for every injury or every life lost in a ring 100s of 1000s of lives have been saved training learning discipline improving health fitness etc the balance is entirely one sided.

Yeah that’s what I thought once, but then it doesn’t make sense because Jesus never threw a punch to anyone (in fact, he cursed Peter when he chopped off the man’s ear and then even healed it). As Christians, we should live a life like Jesus’ and instead of harming others (no matter if it’s only for sport) we should be kind to them and pray for them, even if they are our enemy/rival/opponent.
I used to be a skilled kickboxer. I even won an amateur national championship in my country. But now that I’m way closer to God than I was back then, I feel like God is guiding me away from these aggressive combat sports.
I’m not sure, and TAKE THIS LIKE A GRAIN OF SALT, but there’s a possibility that God may use some people to spread Christianity through sports like this one. At the end of the day he used David to defeat Goliath and then made him king of Israel. There are plenty more examples like this one where God asked certain people to do something that would harm someone else but at the end would benefit the people of God and would bring glory to Him.
Honestly this is a bit confusing, and I invite you all to find an answer to this through reading the Bible and prayer or by talking about it with other Christians or even in this comment section.
At the end of the day, we don’t know for sure what God is planing and why He wants to execute his plan in the way it is planned. We can just pray so that we and other people can discern if we are called by God to practice certain contact sport (like Tyson’s case, probably) or if it’s a trap for us from the enemy. It’s tricky to figure this out but remember the Bible tells us to submit every thought to the Lord. This would mean examining why we have the desire to practice these sports; for fame/recognition, for money, to take out our rage on others, etc., or sincerely for God and for what He is calling us to do?

Thanks for reminding me of my faith.. life's full of ups and downs, and for the time being it's more downs than ups lately.. but that's kinda the beauty of life itself anyways isn't it.! Boxing is a man sport and your a women there's things you won't understand
Boxing is a technical sport, speed, power defensive and offensive moves and its proficient footwork, creating angles. It's like chess but in a physical form. Scientific studies show the endorphines created through exercising by doing Boxing has helped many people who suffer from depression. There are physiological benefits.
To prevent injuries there is a referee, albeit like all contact sports i.e. American football, Judo, Wrestling there are going to be injuries from time to time it is inevitable but a very low risk. It can help in self defense situations you must be able to defend yourself if someone broke into your home for example.
Appearance, fitness, confidence, safety and it's fun are all other reasons. Sparring is practicing so even in this setting it's safer because you're not trying to hurt the other person you're simply working on improvements i.e blocking or countering, both fighters are fighting at near 50%. So I disagree with you to a large extent because there's a lot of benefits to it.

As a former amateur boxer and christian that got to train & spar with great old champs, like Wilfredo Bazooka Gomez, Jose Vellon, Esteban de Jesus , I truely enjoyed this episode. I walked towards a fire that was a little less than a 1/4 mile from my home. The fire was ready to come down the raving, and the wind would have made this fire come straight down from a 2 laned HY. I live in the rural our rode is a mile from the HY when you turn in. However, with the mountains and curves, the fire was ready to jump the HY. I walked down our road, praying out loud and asking Jesus to please not let the fire jump the HY. I kept praying. 🙏 Men on top of the HY were laughing. I don't know if they were laughing at me because I was praying so loudly. All of a sudden, from the northeast, a blast of wind hit me from behind and pushed me forward. That's how strong the wind was. I looked back at my house and saw nothing but smoke. Nothing was on fire. I looked up at the HY, and the fire had been pushed into its already burnt area. The fire wasn't coming. I yelled to the top of my lungs, "Thank you, Jesus Amen." He answered my prayers. 😇🙏✝️ Accept Jesus into your heart, and he will answer your prayers. Love Jesus and let him into your heart and see what happens. It's beautiful. 🙏✝️ 😇

Firstly, good video, thanks for the upload. I’m an ex bouncer (before Christ), always trained but never boxed professionally. Like you I would wake up in the early Sunday hours to watch big fights.
South Africa is an extremely violent country, I live on a farm and which is vulnerable to heinous murders. I carry a firearm on me all the time. Self-defence is a Christian concept, being aware of the enemy’s tactics and the fact evil prowls around looking for victims is wise. Our lives are precious to God, we have to protect our families as well as our own lives. But my faith is not in weapons or being able to defend myself, my faith is in God to keep me from evil, and from situations that I’m not able to cope with by myself.
Before I was saved I was fearless and got into fights quickly with little provocation. After being saved I lost that edge, I lost all desire to hurt anyone and even in a self-defence situation I’m still reluctant. I do not operate under the same spirit as before.
Can a Christian box for money in a ‘sport’ that give an opponent brain damage? Put him a wheelchair for life? With an opponent who has done you no wrong, and previous to the bout, was of no threat to you? We are glorifying modern day gladiators, giving the crowd what it wants - to see blood. I too love to see boxers giving honour to God, and yes boxing has given some men purpose. Do I believe that God was with George Foreman and helped him become Heavyweight championship again after he came to Salvation? Yes, I do. Listen to his story. It sounds like a contradiction but hear me out, I think God can use (or redeem) some situations but I cannot see this as his primary will.
We may have become desensitized to how much God hates seeing men created in his image do damage to each other. I’ve wrestled with this for the reason you wrestle with it, because there is an underlying conviction. Boxing stories are not the moral equivalent of ‘Chariots of fire’, even though stories like ‘Rocky’ are inspiring.
Google boxers who were seriously injured in the ring. I know of very few undefeated champions, and most of them are not Christian. Our only champion is Jesus Christ our Lord.

You have to separate a job or profession from Christianity sometimes. For example, there are soldiers and armies fighting for the course of their country. There are Christians amongst them. Some have chosen a career way long before they met christ. They can't just abandon their entire career. I think what really matters is believing in Christ and listening to the holyspirit directives.

My late husband was a former professional kickboxer, despite having Sickle Cell Anemia and a heart murmur. He won four championships. He lost the awards moving around the country. His health problems took him from me in 2016. He saw angels several times and was told by two different people that he had two twelve foot tall angels walking behind him. God protects His own. God has kept me safe while walking around Baton Rouge, La, Reading, Pa, (pronounced red), and Philadelphia, Pa. God is alive.

I'm wondering if I'm missing something. At the beginning of the video, we are told to watch a boxer's eyes. Why? I never saw anything that answered that question.
I noticed that his eyes were tight and determined until Tyson started saying his god was nothing and he was going to knock him out, then the guys eyes softened and started to lose their confidence...
Its a subtle switch but you can see the uncertainty come over him as Tyson speaks with the power of the Holy Spirit.
I boxed amateur and professional. The eyes are definitely a window to your soul. It will tell u Alot, but you also have to use your peripheral vision to notice punches coming. It's the same with life.

I am not intending to come off judgmental when I say this. It is my opinion only.
I think there is a difference between a sport that has the goal of winning a game and a sport that intends to beat someone into submission. I also used to be an American hockey fan. I loved the brutal hits against the boards. I loved the fighting that took place when a team sent out their "enforcer."my team was the Philadelphia Flyers. They were known as "the broad street bullies." I realized at some point how fruitless it all is. I, like many fans, put people up on a pedestal as "my favorite player." I realized that, in many ways, it took my eyes off of my Savior.
I am not better than anyone else. This is a walk every man must grapple with. Every man must contend with the Lord to see what he does through the eyes of his savior.

I can understand both sides. i used to photograph boxing but became convicted after i came to know the lord and stopped. there are many people that are believers in the industry but what i truly felt when i was editing the photos was that it wasn’t glorifying God. the people i was photographing weren’t all glorifying God and the promotions they were getting from companies that they wore on their shorts or banner weren’t glorifying God.
I was into boxing and wanted to box professionally. I asked a pastor what he thought about my goal to become a fighter. He said it was a sport but I wasn’t convinced it was just a sport. I finally realized it wasn’t a sport God would approve of because this sport is about hurting your opponent. I also think there is a possibility when in the heat of a match a boxer might get carried away and hit with bad intentions. I feel that by nature it is a brutal sport that can end up motivating others to fight outside the ring.
Even Tyson saying all his belts are useless and means nothing to him. Bloodsports is not a holy way to live. Your body is a temple of God! Don’t abuse it or someone elses!

I’ve watched your videos for awhile don’t think I’ve ever commented.. but I really enjoy what you bring forth that being the hope we have in Jesus as well as life stories… I’m a 66 year old black woman who lives in Baltimore Md. I watched many boxing matches in my day of Mike Tyson, Frazier, Holyfield etc..I was saved then ,but I had to stop watching it because I was getting to emotional 😂😂😂about someone getting hurt… but no condemnation to you.. you see it as a sport, I just couldn’t take anymore… thanks for all you do for the kingdom..❤ God bless and keep you and your family and give you peace!

Watched your videos before from time to time but this was the first one I felt was most cherishable. Your questions and testimony about your own strives and how we should feel about sports really connected with me. Pleading for people to come to God doesn't seem to have the same value as a heartfelt testimony about the personal struggles of faith you mentioned of the Fury family and yourself. Joe, I have trained in martial arts for decades. Boxing as well. I train in the martial art Aikido. The founder called it “the Art of Peace”. I attempt to make it thus to the glory of Christ Jesus. I too struggle with the love of the art and how it can be used to harm. But I believe we are given the right to defend ourselves.🙏🏻✝️
I first started kick boxing for a short while, then karate, then Tae Kwon do & went back to karate. I love that I can train hard with the goal always being that at some point, I might need to save my own or someone else's life. That is just my own motivation. It's already saved me and I'm truly grateful.

Paul was part of the world because when he was with a certain group of people, he was those people, but he also professed the name of Jesus. We can be IN the world, but we can't be OF the world. Tyson can be IN the ring if he wants, but he can't be OF the ring. Like when Jesus said that those who live by the sword, will die by the sword, but then he says to buy a sword. It's not the sword that's evil, it's how you use it...

Thank you so much for telling the rest of the story....I saw a short video of Tyson getting knocked out by a massive man, only to get back up and win. Learning he stood up for GOD against this fighter was totaly inspirational.....tears in my eyes.....surprisingly I had just read 2 days ago about a story of a boxer who was born premature and his dad said he would live and grow up to be 7' tall and be heavy weight champion....I didn't know it was the same guy until your videl....just wow how God brings the story together. I’m a retired boxer n kickboxer, I worked for a UFC Hall of Famer over 10yrs, training managing n matchmaking also did many of our own promotions n got mma sanctioned in California, it was a battle to stay close to the Lord in that life, I know I had sum dark times wit the Lord for a few yrs, the traveling overseas, the fame n money is great for a while but it takes a hard toll on a soul, it happened to me n I see it happening to the Fury’s, injuries caught uo to me n had to retire bout 10 yrs ago, im a ex convict n God blessed me mightly n got to do things n go places few convicts get to experience, even tho im very fortunate n grateful to the Lord if I had to do it over again I wud have not took this path, it hurt my relationship with the Lord n I lost ground with Him I still have not recovered, my oldest n youngest sons were fighters n we got to travel overseas together but it was so hard to fight n train n stay on top we are not close anymore, I pray everyday day God wud use me to bring glory to His name my last decade or 2 that I have left 🙏👊🏼

Thanks joe that’s something I struggle with Christians doing boxing or martial arts before I became a Christian I was into martial arts but I left when I became a Christian how can you harm someone you are supposed to love I don’t know I struggle like you do with this I would protect my wife though. @ralhfeay8857 I love martial arts. I approach with the same goal - this gives me fitness, stamina and means I can defend myself and anyone else. It's so important to learn to respect your body. Jesus helps me to be humble and do my best to stay fit and healthy. We don't do martial arts to start fights but to end fights. 💯🙏🙏💚

My youngest son came to faith because of Tyson. I became a believer 4 yrs ago. But i could not be happier with the influence Tyson had on my son of 15yrs old back then. Now he is 17 and is telling all his friends about God and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He brought 3 friends, all 17 yrs now, to faith. God is working hard to bring His children back. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
