Its crazy to me that till this day 2K cant get the dark lighting at Staples Center correctly. Thats one thing EA had over 2K, the authenticity of the arenas despite looking more cartoony.

If they put 3 TVs in the same room, on one put an actual Lakers game, the other a NBA Live 19 Lakers home game & 2K23’s Lakers home game on the last tv and compared them? Live 19 looks the closest and its the PAST gen. Everything looks so off on 2k. They put no effort in arenas. The little stuff makes it more authentic. Its time for them to focus on that. Maybe even get actual licensing for arena organs and stuff like that. Maybe get the license for NBA on TNT to put there scoreboard. EA did it with espn and was dope.

Not that it really matters but they should’ve also added the handshake and respect moments between teams before the jump ball like “dap ups” or hugs between the players on opposing teams
The way that the players move and look when they’re being “casual” and shooting around in pre-game looks so creepy to me ! Lol and the clothes. the jerseys look so stiff and they stretch out like they’re glued to the bodies and have no movement of their own 2K forgets to add the “human” element to the game that’s the reason they game sometimes looks weird and clunky and robotic asf small amount fluidness they had that aspect much better in 2k14 next gen but seem that they wanna keep their cheaper crappy full graphic engine and produce the same crap

Gameplay looks very bad. Still can't hit jumpers with any kind of hand raised. Players hit those all the time. The only way to score consistently is driving to the basket. How can we even be expected to play as Jordan and make 6 3-pointers in a row, when even making 2 jumpers in a row is damn near impossible?
This year players actually make shots with hands on their face just like real life. In 22, defender was 5-6 feet away and you’d get a “60% contested” bs lol. Shooting is better this year. Slights are missed even in wide open, you really gotta master your timing.
