- Quick correction just found out it’s actually 480cc* athena big bore(pump gas). Was told by previous owner that it was a 479 but upon for further inspection and research, I’m realizing that they only made 479 for 04 through 05 model. bought this atv on facebook marketplace, it was a absolute steal!! #trx450 #hondatrx450r #bikelife #honda #mxracing #atv

@@Johnbruzzi4234 before It was like 4 I believe. I took it to get tuned. The guy got it running good. But now I can’t get it to cold start
@@BikeLifeVios no 4 is dead wrong, turn till it lightly seats then start at 1.5 to 2 turns ,that’s where it should be. Your valves probably need to be adjusted, 450s need attention and maintenance, trx400 just ride
@@Johnbruzzi4234just got the valves adjusted also cleaned the carbs out. It’s running very good once warm. But cold starts take like 4 or 5 cranks. Maybe need to adjust the screw more. I try what you said and see if it works
@@BikeLifeVios would leave the screw alone,if it’s been adjusted, I would like to know the pilot jet size, and it’s hard when someone works on your machine cause u have to trust them. Did they do mid body gasket on carb, I would be shocked if they did.
@@BikeLifeVios also are you giving it any gas when starting, 1 or 2 pumps then just the button alone. Never at same time. And that fan u have is good and it’s wired to run all the time, I heard it kick on when u turned the key. How’s your battery strong?
