The ability to move the hips separately from the spine is a key component in conquering back pain.
In the last 20 years almost all the patients I treated who had chronic back pain lacked this ability. This isn't the cause of back pain but there is a correlation.

I’ve seen my physio this morning for my lower right side of back hurting and he discovered my right foot and knee aren’t aligning correctly and knee falls inwards and foot dropping inside, hence causing the multitudes muscle over working on the right,(I think that’s what he said?) and he told me to do this exercise. He also said to do a clam and showed me how to do it, Is there anything else I can do to help my condition? Thanks

Ive been doing this exercise but as I send my butt backwards, do I still have to tuck in the pelvis? Because it automatically tucks out when I do it (in lordosis way)

Try and keep it neutral. Not increasing the lordosis or kyphosis

Christine Farhat yes if you do the right exercises every day you should be able to stop it from progressing and you might even be able to reduce it.

@@EdPaget can going to the gym help??

Christine Farhat I can, but it depends what you do there.

@@christinefarhat5179 Going to the gym can certainly help, and I would go so far as to say it's even necessary in most cases involving scoliosis. You want to strengthen your spinae erector muscles, if you have weights or a home gym you may not need to go to the gym to strengthen them.
