Surprise: 5 Year Old Fan Meet Queens Guard
Four-year-old boy salutes next to guardsman at Windsor Castle
Hello boys and girls and welcome to a new video. Today I will be showing you times the queens guard showed an act of kindness. As you may know, the guards must stay in a strict character whilst on their shift. They must not be distracted whilst guarding their post. However, sometimes, there are justified times they must break character. Usually, they do this when something bad is happening, but today I thought I would show you some positive clips where they show a great act of kindness whilst on duty, I promise that you will love every clip in this video so be sure to watch till the very end. If you enjoy this video at any moment, be sure to comment, like and share to friends and family.
This video comes all the way over from Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. Straight away you see a Swedish royal guard outside the royal castle. After a few moments, a small kid walks in the view of the camera. He is holding an umbrella and wearing a hat. Basically, he is trying to imitate the guard Infront of him. He walks up to the guard, brings his umbrella to his side of his body and starts marching up and down. You can tell he is really loving the situation. After a while the guard joins in with the boy and they march in synchronization. It is such a great video, and I guarantee it made the boys day!
This next video shows a king’s guard protecting his area at the tower of London. If you did not know, the kings guard are not able to drink or go to the toilet whilst on duty. They must get on with the shift without leaving their post. There are sometimes exceptions, in this instance it was a hot summers day and they need to hydrate. This is where the corporal comes over and helps the guard drink water. A great show of kindness.
This is a brilliant video and I am sure you will absolutely love it. This is recorded by Buckingham Palace; a little kid is dressed in a full king’s guard outfit. He looks so cool. There is a guard and a police officer talking in the distance, whilst this is happening, the kid is saluting the guard. All of a sudden, the guard walks out of Buckingham palace and visits the young boy, starts shacking his hand and takes a photo with him. I am pretty sure this is against protocol, nevertheless it is a classic video and the kid must be so happy by this moment.
I am sure you have seen this video before; it is a goldmine of a video. Scott the boy in this video was celebrating his birthday, so decided to dress up in the king’s guard outfit and visit the guards at the tower of London. Soon after, a group of kings guards are marching towards a building, I assume they have finished the shift. They march past him as he salutes to them all. One decides to go back to the kid, tells him to walk over, they stand side-by-side as his mother takes a photo with them together.

I was there once and I am a US Vet and fought with some British Soldiers when I served. I just went up to say hello..thank him and his mates and give him a Salute...he returned it..American style...no one had cell phones like we have now and I am sure no one noticed and he is retired by now as am I...It just remains a highlight of my trip..just simple respect between services
your a Hero young man. from the U.K
@@wfjw thank you.. though I am 70...an age I once doubted I'd make..btw.. I'm of Welsh ancestry
My wife and I were witnessing the Changing of the Guard one day. As they began and the oncoming Guard CO began his inspection of the parade ground, he passed near us. I told him, “Sir, thank you and your mates for your service. I’m an American Veteran and we’re proud to be on the same side”. He continued but on his next pass, as he stopped in front of us, he leaned forward and said, “You’re Welcome!” The crowd around was astonished. A crusty old Navy man wept a bit. I will never forget it.
Navy here too brother...I just love comradery in the comradary in the services It is a beautiful thing...@@Subdood04
@@robertjones1729 That is what true family is. Long time no see, long time still love and respect.
I love when they interact with the kids

It's the fact that most adults only offer disrespect to them in all kinds of ways. It must piss them off. Children at that age are innocent and adorable. The royal guards are an elite hand-picked military but at the end of the day, they are still human.
When i do it they say "you're not allowed within 100 ft of school zone"
Double standards 🙄
@@rickastley6950casual bri'ish people on youtube
Nothing more motivating for a solider than to see kids wanting to be one of them.
I'm an American and I love the Royal guards. They have to put up with so much, I have great respect for them.
Totally agree
The closest we have to this is the guards for the unknown soldier
But they can't interact with anyone at all
The little boys show more respect to the King’s guard than some tourists. Maybe they would like to be a guard when they grow up.
The little boy's will remember their experience with the Kings Guards the rest of their lives. Awesome!
Yes. Exactly how I see it also
Boys. No apostrophe.
Very good observation, indeed! @@alastairgreen2077
Ganz bestimmt😊
Theses guards have made all the children's day they will always remember the guard's kindness and appreciate them even more
These! There is no plural for "These".!
Já nasce com honra desde o ventre da mãe.
Menino de um futuro brilhante como estes soldados do Rei !
Precious. Those children will never forget that moment and hopefully will become good men when they grow up, because of this.
And some of those kids may very well grow up and join the guards one day having been inspired to serve by these very moments. A great way to get the next generation of guards excited to come and serve!
The guards are not just soldiers, they are human beings, probably with families.
What a way to make a child's day, a day he will always remember. We'll done you guards, you make us proud.
what a rubbish comment
Such acts of kindness encourage kids to serve when they grow up and offer an example of chivalry.
Proof that even the most dedicated and professional of soldiers are people too; especially when it comes to kids.
I’m from the US, however my entire family loves, the King’s Guards.❤
How often?
That first part with the kid and the guard in blue uniform is just precious. Love how the kid kept saluting the honored guard.
These men are some of the most highly trained soldiers in the world.
Please do them the honor of showing them the respect they deserve.
They are men AND women.
@@noneoftheabove3971
My apologies
@@noneoftheabove3971It's unusual for females to join the soldiers
It warms my heart to see the kings guard pay special attention to the little ones, and the special needs individuals.
What many do not understand is these men are warriors. They should well know the cost of being sent to do their governments bidding. While in the most darkest moments these men strongly want something good and innocent in their lives. Being able to express love and admiration for a child that is giving you ultimate respect reflects deeply upon the soul.
Yep. Many of these men are also Dads.
A soldier in his everyday combat fatigues, returning home after a tour of duty? Everyone knows the emotional scenes. The teary hugging of their kids. Some only meeting their baby for the first time, if they were born while away. Nobody questions the love & affection these men have toward their children. Being a soldier is almost irrelevant. It's also forgotten that they are not on duty, so they're not wearing the metaphorical work cap, restricting them to work conditions (not really any different to any other kind of job).
Yet a soldier in the King's Guard uniform? For some reason, they suddenly become figures of ridicule, only existing to entertain tourists, or put on a show (how they can keep their irritation, annoyance, or even anger, in check with some of the morons they endure, is astounding. It's not like they don't feel it). That small element who, for some reason, can't connect the dots & see that these men are the same as any other soldier, just in a different uniform. One that we never see them wearing off duty, so we never see them relaxing like other soldiers. It's like they're stripped of their humanity. Unemotional. Detached. Yet these men may well be the same men who have been seen in home coming clips, hugging their kids.
Which is what makes it so annoying that it has to be commented on when we do see the Guard do something that is completely normal & natural. They engage with a kid, on their level. Despite the Guard often being criticised for being too serious, when they do do something unexpected, like approaching a child, they're still run down. "Oh. He's in trouble now" "He shouldn't have done that" "He broke character! He's not allowed to do that!" "That wasn't professional" Or shock is heard, because OMG!! THEY'RE NOT COLD, UNFEELING ROBOTS!!
Why can't people just enjoy & except these things when they happen, for what they are? The people you hear laugh affectionately get it. A soldier's day has been made by a child simply dressed like them, expressing their utmost respect in the most innocent, purest way, possible. For which they, in return, express the same gratitude to that child. Nobody cares it's not strictly protocol. Because you're not seeing the Guard interacting with a child. You're seeing the man who is a Guard interacting with the child.
That is very true. I know a good number of ex servicemen who have done their service at the sharp end in the harshest of conditions and witnessed horrors that we never will, and I’ve noticed how they go out of their way to savour everything that is sweet and innocent in life, it’s as if they have been starved of it and have had to absorb too much of the opposite extreme, and instinctively feel a need to rebalance themselves. I felt this to a lesser extent when I worked on an offshore oil rig, a dour all-male existence in an often grim and hazardous environment and harsh conditions, I craved for the simple normality of everyday life. As these guards are real soldiers, these children are also a reminder of what they signed up for to protect.
The innocence of the little boy and the way the guard responds really touches my heart. This is ultimate beauty. It must irritate many to see some very stupid acting tourists. Thank goodness the guards know exactly how to deal with them✨☺️
Guards with heart ❤️ a true example of kindness
The kids admire them, so they repay with kindness, even if they're very serious and very proffesional soldiers, they're still human beings and we should never forget that
I love them for understanding childhood so beautifully 🇬🇧❤️🏆🥇
A friend of mine took a trip to England back in the 90’s. He said as long as you kept a respectful distance and didn’t harass these guys they were cool. They have to deal with disrespectful tourists every day. Why are people like that?
Aaawwwwww that wee boy, so cute. The wonderful Guard made that little boys birthday so special. 👍👍👍🌿🌿💚💚🌿🌿
I'm thinking the guards can relate to the kids and remember when they too were at that age so they interact with them to not discourage them from pursuing that dream, if that is still what they want when they grow up. Bless those soldiers and those kids. 🥰
A lot of them have their own kids. KIds also aren't a threat, so there is no need for them to act with aggression.
R.I.P The queen she will forever be rememberd.
What a time to remember for that kid.. fantastic.
These Guards are absolute gold and we in the UK should be proud of them.
"I used to be a little boy
So old in my shoes..." Billy Corgan, _Disarm._
Childhood is so short, yet so compacted with life-shaping experiences, some good, some not so good, some amazing. These men demonstrate that true strength does not come from force of arms, but love.
God bless the GUARD and the Horses, amen❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
People don't realize that these men are high trained and are not there for show. They have a duty and fulfil it daily.
Im Puertorriqueño and admire and respect the culturel ❤
okay, im not from there, and i dont give a fuck cause i dont care that latino americans always have to write where they come from. no one cares.
What great acts of kindness and humanity. However they are not breaking character in any way sense or form. They are serving His Majesty's citizens. Please be assured that the King, His Majesty, would be very proud of his soldiers performing in such a way.
Es zeigt, das es auch Menschen sind mit Gefühlen. Gib ihnen Respekt und du bekommst Respekt.
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
You left out were a little boy is Marching back and forth with a Gueadsman for quier a while, the Guardsman showing him what to do, gorgeous but heartbreaking at the same time as the little boy is termimally ill ❤
Class acts every one of those guards. Huge respect for them all.
Also, whoever said they don't break character, is absolutely true. They aren't character's,. Their soldier's, but people often forget that they are people who are capable of knowing when the right time to remind people that they still have the capacity to show that they are human beings
Characters. No apostrophe. They're soldiers. Your grammar is atrocious.
*THEY’RE* soldiers. They work for *THEIR* king/queen.
They are characters only. Never trained other than by a circus.
@@BitSmythe nope
@@BitSmythe for their king and queen but still a human being working for Walmart or somewhere can stop to show compassion to someone whose fallen.
In time, this can only come back as a positive for England & Sweden🇬🇧🇸🇪😉
Kindness is underrated, we need more of it.
THEY ARE FABULOUS ROYAL GUARDS!! LUV TO SEE THEM INTERACT WITH SUCH KINDNESS!! U NEVER KNOW WHAT THE CHILD MAY GROW UP TO BE !! TY SO MUCH!! 🥰☺️🙏👋👋💘💘🇺🇸🇺🇸
The Guard coming out of the Palace is an Officer and able to break character for special occasions.
A Coldstreamer.
@@rhannay39 and a fairly senior officer.
Not true. Had a gaurd stop and ask my 3 year old daughters name. They're not supposed to respond but often, if you show them respect they will interact within reason.
character?
@@AsteroidM749Amy thoughts exactly 🙄
Just goes to show that these SOLDIERS have heart... Especially the British Guards who have been for too long the butt of harassment, jokes, and disrespect from ignorant tourists. The Guard in Royal Blue is of Sweden. (They, along with the other Euro palatine guards are rarely "dissed" as the tourists are "handled"). This is not the first such video I've seen, but I'd enjoy seeing more. I'm quite certain this "kindness" happens more than what was lucky enough to be recorded
Just because they're highly disciplined and have a duty to perform doesn't make them inhuman.
Of course, they have hearts. Obvious statement is obvious.
Most soldiers have families of their own, and some kids, too!
Soldiers & police officers love doing this when they have a few moments spare - makes their day as well
ABSOLUTELY, PLEASANTLY surprising…& heartwarming!! THANK Y’AL for sharing…🤔😃
Thst is so sweet.thanks to the guards.
Absolutely adorable ❤️❤️🥰🤗
These big, strong war heroes have a heart. May they be blessed for both sides by our Lord
Future honorable servicemen and heroes!!! We need those now in these terrible times.
times are always challenging. It's people like those guards and kids that shed light on it all
These are great public relations moments for them and I gather the public relations units of these organizations help out in working with commanders to prevent issues from arising. Additionally, these moments are great recruiting tools to help build up the next generation of troops.
To display human kindness is the greatest mark of respect of all. The little lads, dressed as soldiers is brilliant. And they even salute… perfect.. respect and adoration is established both ways.
No hay nada mejor que hacer feliz a un niño y a una mujer , esa felicidad no tiene precio
I love the video of the guard who stepped closer to a special needs boy for a picture after the father told his son they were not allowed to get close
That is so Cool. Who knows the little boy may be a future Guard❤❤.
They are very moments for the child very kind
The guards reactions are so precious. Those little noys willake great future guards ❤
As a Brit I’m proud of them all.
Come on now, we all know that secretly, quietly, the Queen's unspoken rule to the guards was "making the kids smile is not against the rules"
Brilliant bringing inspiration to young children showing kindness 🇬🇧👍👋
Thanks for this! A very nice boost on a snowy, cold Canadian November's day!
It’s a bit strange to me that the guards can’t even hydrate on their own on a hot day. Otherwise a wonderful video!
Darling little soldier boy!💋❤
Well done to all the royal guards
So very cute bless you
Love the guards
I watch the videos every day
Hi, this is the first thing that I watch your videos and I like it I never saw a kindergarten laughing. I never saw one to let the people touch them. That’s nice to people like that. I was thinking those guards, the tractor, lotta tourist, which is good for the country they look handsome with all the things they were in elegant. Thank you for shit for sharing.
I have the upmost respect for the King and the kingdom. The guards exemplify professionalism and military bearing.
That gentleman is an officer not a soldier, subtle but significant difference. He’s A commissioned officer. If he’s a captain,( I didn’t see his shoulder boards), but if he’s a captain then he’s literally the captain of the Kings guard. And as such he can do as he pleases. Including pose for photos with tourists. His office is in st. James palace and he answers to the major general OC London district, the Home Secretary, and the King. ✌️
I wouldn't differentiate. Officers are still soldiers, just with different jobs to other ranks.
Officers in the British Army are still referred to as "Soldier's" as they carry out soldiering duties. Leaders of Soldier's they may be, but so are NCOs.
I'm proud of these guards.
I am proud of anyone who shows love, understanding, humility , and kindness all in Jesus name xxx we are blessed ❤
Fine examples of humanity.
I really hope those guards who interacted with those children were not punished in any way.
While they are soldiers doing their duty to protect their post; they are still human.
I went to London on holidays and I showed respect to the guards at The Tower of London.
One of the guards gave me a quick smile. I think he appreciated being shown respect and not being treated like a tourist calling card.
To the people out there who try and mess with these guards; shame on you.
The Officer who came out from Buckingham Palace and shook hands was a Coldstream Guards Officer. He was probably the Duty Officer in charge that day so he is hardly likely to tell himself off.
🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨❤🤍💙❤🤍💙👳♀️💂♂️👳♀️💂♂️💂💂♂️💂a heart ♥ sharing moment!!
Remembered by this young man for life thank you wonderful soldier
Outstanding!😊
we're not robots with protocol cast in stone. What the guards did was kind and very humane, they made those kids' day. God bless them
Just to clarify, you only break a character when you are playing a character. Not the case of soldiers; they are not actors or pretenders.
Show respect, you get respect. This is not a soldier rule, this is a human rule. With all the people showing no respect, and make fun about them, it will be a much appreciated change that those kids not only give respect, but also a huge interest in the guards.
Queen's guard are you human and have got hearts as well
The soldier who shake boy's hand, he officer so he do what he like 😆
Beautiful moments..... salutttt Son 👍👍👍
Lovely movie and lovely acts of kindness. Thank you! ❤🤩❤
Awesome that they would do it. Great character
There are many more occasions they do something out of the ordinary. Don’t forget these are British lads with families themselves 👍🏼
The clip of the Guard at the gates if Buckingham Palace is not a Guardsman, he is in fact a Guards Officer. You can tell this as he had a sword and red belt.
Preciousness ! 🥰🥰
Very nice. I'm sure the queen did not mind
Breaking character is a ridiculous term. They are serving soldiers
Maybe a Break in Character/Duties, But Certainly Shows They Do Have a Gr8 Kindness, We Salute Them....
Lovely stuff.
Although I would note that I am a huge fan of the Kings Guard punching tourists too.
i think guards see kids as one of their own epspecially when they see them dressed like them
Wow ..that little boy is so cute.....
That last one is always my favorite
that kid is wearing his royal guard outfit its so cute
Gracinhas as crianças vestidas com uniforme da guarda real
Had me in tears seeing that boy with a guards uniform on
Priceless!
THE BEST OF THE BEST! 👍👍
😍 kids is very cute, a fhoto he is beautiful guards. 🤪❤
They too are humans!!! My Word.....i appreciate them.
I was a queens gaured. Fought in Afghanistan. Lost a ear and half my foot. I'm now back as a kings gaurd. Love the video
Respect
I hope these guys get a small bonus at Christmas.
The Scot's Guards Officer was breaking protocol, but it was priceless PR.
Giving that gift to a young man, it means you will eanlist him in the future...
the guard in clip three is an officer which makes the clip even better
Amazing costs nothing to make a kids day.
