  • I used to absoloutely love Skyblock! Not saying that I dont anymore but.. I just dont really play that much anymore.
    And I think thats because of burnout. Burnout is, at least in my opinion, one of skyblocks biggest weaknesses.
    And in this video I will explain why.

    I'm in the same mood, I can't withstand spent more time on this, mainly because my rng is horrible and I have to play play three time as much as the average necessary to achieve something and I can't deal with this anymore.

    im p sure this is all because hypixel decided to cut out floor 7-9 of dungeons and made floor 10 the floor 7 we have today. just cuz of this little short cut they completely ruined the progression of the game causing hyp to be impossible to get without having a hyp urself

    Skyblock has no progression now, its just grind coins and buy the item you want and 99% of new content is for the 0.1% of the player base

      I legit think the best way to play skyblock today might actually be ironman

      Wrong. There is progression, but it's not that good in terms of game design. Power creep and metas not changing, different parts of the game being isolated from each other (btw, HellCastle has a video about that)

      False again. There hasn't been any late/end game focused updates since inferno minion changes. Garden, bestiary changes, Rift - things that are either for everyone or more useful for early game.
      What about ironman? It sucks, it's not supposed to exist this way. Why?
      1. Nothing unique, absolutely no exclusive mechanics
      2. A lot of things are unobtainable and/or ungrindable. For example: cosmetics, some museum items like enrager, divan alloy (it's pure rng when its highest chance is 1/8k and no rng meter), maxed kuudra items (have fun grinding mycelium or red sand for hundreds or thousands hours), t7 enchants (they're too rare to get from experimentation table and no rng meter). There're a lot of other things pretty sure, but i guess i don't remember all of them now
      3. Less brain required, you just grind and that's all, you don't need to think much about your financial decisions or fully optimizing time.
      4. Normal has way more content, because of things being irrelevant on ironman. On normal you have freedom, you can grind things you like for any amount of time you want. Wanna do enderman slayer? On normal you can sell drops and be rewarded for your grind, on ironman you can't do that, you don't need more than 3 judgement cores. Or for example you wanna grind ghosts, but on ironman you don't need more than 250k kills just to max bestiary, you'll have way too many useless sorrows.
      5. Only early game is very different from normal, but later you just have to grind mining, it's unavoidable.
      6. Ironman is supposed to be designed like a different game, more like an expert minecraft modpack (singleplayer), instead of mmo rpg (only multiplayer)
      I don't have anything against good ironman players, but i hate people who think they're better just because of having a funny symbol near the ign. Asking for carries on ironman ruins the point of this already bad mode.

    I think skyblock is more pay to win than before bc of more things you can get only from gems (skins) and people aren't buying cookies. So if you are freetoplay then cookies are hard.
    Thats why i quit skyblock.

      The Pay to Win-ish aspect that came with gems kinda bothered me too

      @@uncurledcrown23they made it in a way tho where gems only get cosmetic items and have no actual impact on the game. So its not really pay to win in that aspect

      cookies arent that good p2w for now it costs like 3$ and you only get like 7-9m coins, which you could easily get by just farming or mining or afk with minions and etc.
