I love your videos, they are informative and entertaining!! But most of all, I enjoy seeing you fish with your wife and how well you work together. You seem like you have a lot of fun together and truly enjoy spending time with each other. I see you posted this on May 13th. Five of us left WI on the 15th and stayed on Kelleys Is, three of us for the first time. This was a bucket list trip for me. Sure hope to come back!! The weather, scenery and fishing was phenomenal. Best wishes and please keep the videos coming.
Jason I've been watching all your videos for a past several weeks. They are all very well done. The drone shots at the end of this piece are particularly sweet. Keep them coming and be st of luck with the Dardevil Charter service - Regards, Kevin
So cool to turn on UA-cam and see your new video.so funny and cute how she doesn't want to touch or get close to the fish.your lucky to have such a great fishing partner.keep up with the Great Videos, enjoy the heck out of them.
Awesome video never did walleye before because we don’t have many of them here but it looks so fun they fight good where we live it is more bass and trout still really exciting though😊
Great video and love the edits! I also compete in the LEWT and have a few GoPros and a Mavic Pro 2 but its a lot of work trying to record everything on top of trying to fish. Also I am not a great editor. Good luck this season and this upcoming weekend in Huron
It is extremely challenging to film during the tournaments...also with the added pressure of the tournaments our moods are a little intense and a touch negative which doesn't make for great content...lol
I knew she grabbed your side and was reeling too fast...haha Man you got the best set up I ever seen... You are right...the reaSON we do this is the beauty, the silence, and there's nothing better than watching that board flag get slammed and the board go back. I am learning watching though...I always thought you had both clips so you wouldn't lose the board. I've seen two of you pro's now snap the rod. So that's not so much to set the hook as it is to get it off the first clip... What's the reason for this? I run Gator BoaRDS, with the front clip set not to come off. Love the videos...anytime you come to wisconsin, pick me up on the waY.
@@JOBFishing I gotcha. I fished with a previous guy running boards on a tower off the back. Maybe that's why he didn't do it that way. We would always get them from the side. I know what you mean though for sure. they come right through the middle when you don't fight the board. Makes total sense. thanks for the advice. We lost a few good ones, and I bet that's why.
Hey man I’m new to trolling and I’m from the Avon Lake area. Was wondering what to run with dipseys around this time. I’ve been out twice but have only had 2 fish and they weren’t keepers.
Why do you put the fish in the livewell just release them later? Why not release them right at the time of catching? Wouldnt that be easier on the fsh?
I typically decide at the end of the day if I'm keeping or not...depends on how tired I am. I normally don't keep/eat the larger fish and that's why they get released immediately.
I filmed the last 2 tournaments. MWC Port Clinton was so rough on day 1 that I almost lost all my gear. LEWT Huron this weekend I shot great video, however my wireless mics did not record the entire 9 hour day...tournaments are really tough but I plan to keep trying (still have 6 more plus Fall Brawl this year)
@@JOBFishing thank you for replying! how did you do in the tournaments? been really enjoying your content. keeping it real even when the fishing is slow!
I was watching another one of your other videos to see you let go a 29in" walleye so I wanted to let you know when the hatchery gather walleye eggs from big walleyes they don't like taking the eggs from the bigger walleyes because their not as resourceful quality eggs as the younger female walleye's eggs ... So letting the bigger walleyes grow is cool and all but it's not necessary for a future walleye hatch as other species of fish count on the bigger fish for a good hatch .. this information was on the Ohio DNR so I think or was it the people doing the hatchery program for walleyes ...
Honestly, I let the big ones go in hope that they will come back to me on tournament day lol...also if I'm not planning on keeping them I find the larger ones don't hold up in the live well as well as the smaller walleye.
Love what you are doing! Most these ppl fussing about letting go 28+ inch walleye don’t catch them often enough. When you have countless 30’s under your belt and you are sitting on ample fillets in the freezer you start to appreciate the finer things about fishing like letting go a genetic phenomenon. A walleye in Lake Erie that lives to 30 inches is 1 in 100 million or maybe even worse odds than that. Even if just a fraction of that walleyes offspring survive it is such special genetics for the lake it is worth it. So maybe some can’t understand the appreciation of letting a 20+ year old specimen swim freely back into the lake out of your hands, and for that I feel sorry for them! Keep doing what you are doing and those of us that release the heart of the lake will continue to have the lake love us back! Fish on
Furthermore when the DNR says resourceful what that mean is younger walleye have a higher fertility rate. So in theory a younger walleye will have a higher hatch and survival rate on rearing offspring. A younger walleye is more adaptable to different environments. A giant in a fishery might only be able to attaint that size in that same or very similar fishery. So just bc it got 30 inches in one fishery doesn’t mean it can attain that in another. Therefore there is no actual benefit of taking from the larger fish and considering they have slightly lower fertility rates bc of age it’s actually slightly less productive. That doesn’t have anything to do with the benefits of continuing to have as many 30+ inch fish spawning in the fishery as possible. If you catch a 30+ inch walleye and want to keep it 100% I support you it’s your fish do what you want with it put it on the wall hopefully if it’s that special to you! But when you can’t count on 1 hand the number 30+ inchers you have boated it’s more fun to let them go.. waiting on that 33+ dinosaur! In my personal opinion those of us letting go those 28+ inch fish go have a better chance! All love
5:30 the fastest I’ve ever seen anyone go park the truck up there 😂
hahahah...got to love editing!!
Awesome video as always! The teamwork is the best part of your videos. Keep up the great work!
Thank you Mark!
that view in the end is beautiful. Keep letting her win buddy. You'll need a new boat sooner or later
Beautiful day on the water and awesome drone footage.
Thanks 👍

snap the board so you are not fighting the board on reel in...let it drift to the center of the boat over the inside lines to prevent tangles...

Not that I know of
Very nice video once again? What brand and test mono are you using? What size snaps do you use from the leader to the lure?
Sunline 16# and either #3/#4 Eagle Claw Dual Snaps.

Smaller spoons running about 2.3 mph..or I like to drag Ripplin Red Fins with 6' leads.
