It'd be nice if you include the monthly HOA range. Most seniors don't want to be bothered with the house maintenance and want to be in a walkable community.
Time to do a video on the over 55 community the junipers being built in caramel mountain. Right on the freeway around everything. That's where I'm moving in two weeks.
I live 15 miles south of San Francisco. Downsized 6 years ago to condo in same area. All my friends, church, social activities, medical care and where I worked until 3 years ago,RN. Worked til 72. Condo is perfect size, small building, help on Board, young people, mid life people and older people. Few children too. Pool, rec room, shops & restaurants 5 minutes away. Gated parking garage, patio. I own. Have friends who moved to old folks housing. Boring, all older group. Medical issues constantly. People leave in ambulance and do not come back. Stay independent. Some of these places have to abide by RCFE rules, retirement community for elderly. Friends in these types of facilities were encouraged not to leave compound, could not have visitors, had to wear masks. Awful. I had my housecleaner over, found beautician and my manicurist who made weekly house calls, had guests over. Could not use rec room but they could come in my condo. I have help for few things. Nice patio and have my pets. 😢
Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
@Peterkelvin-90 Quitting may not be the best approach if you ask me. This is where an AI comes into the picture. I barely have time to trade myself as my job swallows up most of my time. *MARGARET MOLLI ALVEY* , a licensed fiduciary whom has made me over 5 figures in profit in less than seven months, handles my investments. I could leave you a lead if you need help.

Funny you don't mention senior apartments in central San Diego I currently live in one in Hillcrest 700 sq. ft. top floor of a 4 story building built in 1986 many including mine have been upgraded with new windows, stainless steel appliances, granite counters, wood floors and I pay $2,100 incl. parking. And Hillcrest is pricey were you to even find a 100 yr. old house that should be torn down for a million plus. Other senior apts. here are HUD and if you can get sec. 8 in a state where the waitlist isn't so long you can always transfer once you get it. Then too are mobile home communities, yeah most are leased land, some not but if you want a modest 800 sq. ft. home to larger home 1,400 sq.ft. that isn't a condo or a townhouse and room to breathe not packed in like sardines, many also with amenities pool, spa, etc. and group activities. You know $500K or higher isn't a start number for most seniors living on fixed income wanting to move to San Diego. Just an example right now in El Cajon is a smaller 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom brand new double wide mobile home for $140k with current space rent of $1,100; older park but has a pool and blocks from all major shopping on 2nd st. If you don't want an apt. there is that option and mobile parks are throughout San Diego County. I picked one up 7 yrs. ago for $20k a 1999 1,344 sq. ft. put in $30k and just sold 2 yrs ago for $150k. O.k. your not going to make millions on a mobile home, but if you looking to get away from the rust belt I am originally from Milwaukee, WI and live in "America's Finest City" or surrounding area you might have to make some compromises. And that said still be able to have a nice place to live that doesn't take all your savings and monthly income for a place just to sleep and eat. Just Sayin' Jim
We would love to help you find your San Diego home!
