I was not expecting 2 minutes of printing valentines puns. But I'm here for it.
Gotta deliver something special for those that stuck around till the end :)
Those puns at the end are so bad, and I'm so gonna use them on my wife! Happy Valentine's Day!
Please do! I love corny Valentine's Day cards :)
My daughter and I LOVE all your creations !!!
Thank you for your hard work...
That's wonderful! Thank you for printing and sharing the designs with them!
I really love your channel! The end of the video was great!
Thank you! I finished editing the video a day early, so I spent an extra day on the ending... oops.
these are excellent! thanks so much for your hard work!
Thanks for following along as I make fun things!
Lets keep BRIDGING a future together.
You CURA my loneliness
Sweet boxes!
Heart-shaped box. Nirvana vibes :)
Amazing work 👏 🙌
Absolutely love your channel 👍🏻 ❤️
Thanks so much!
Really cool print, my partner found a couple decoration for me to print for tomorrow, I may do one of these to surprise her as well. 😊
Awesome, I hope she likes all the prints!
Pretty epic! Love ur designs
Thanks so much!
Great design, I'm going to print one!
Thank you and good luck :)
You are a genius 👌
You are too kind. Thanks!
It would be great if you made the Shutter a little bit longer, leaving a Circle Shapped "button" like, where you could use your thumb to close and open, not needing to put your hands first on the central opening and after at the side to completely open it... You can also make that Circle Shapped button at the End of the "Shutter" dor raise to it wont pass and will perfectly fit, making a stopper when opening and closing!
Are you spying on my pile of scraped prototypes 😉
In the end, I liked the window version prototypes more. But there are definitely cases where a design like that is the superior option. Maybe it'll be a future remix!
You could use it for a cyber truck rear cover
The shutter mechanism is a very cool idea. I'd love a glueless design, though. Do you have favorite mechanisms for putting things together?
Does anyone know if there is a clearly arranged collection of such mechanisms and/or mechanical principles?
Glad you like it! I'm exploring a snap-together option for the pencil case, but it will require a fairly well-tuned printer.
As for a collection of mechanisms, here's a cool collection that (as I recall) was recommended by Angus from @MakersMuse - 507movements.com
@@3DPrinty Awesome! Thank you!
These are amazing! Can you give us a guide on how to make our own design in prusa?
Good idea! This feature is currently in alpha, so it's likely to change. Once the text feature in live in a production release, I'll look into covering it as a tutorial :)
I love all of your videos. And face reveal when lol.
Thank you! I'm sure my face will show up in videos on other channels eventually (I'm currently planning to go to MRRF).
As for my own channel, a disembodied voice and wavy hands are sooooo much easier to edit and put focus on the designs :)
@@3DPrinty and.. it's become a sort of "trademark" on your videos. Love your content and thank you!
Amazing design skills!!! More fusion360 tutorials please!
Noted! It won't be in most videos, but I'll incorporate it when I can :)
A smaller version that could be used to store USB cables in your backpack
Good idea! This definitely isn't the last of my shutter box designs.
What kind of glue are you using ?
For this project I used boring old cyanoacrylate super glue.
It's not always the best for 3D printing, but the glue doesn't need to be super strong or resilient when the parts themselves have a very tight interlocking fit.
Your the .OBJ of my affection.
I love it! Where were these puns a few days ago... when I was blankly staring at my printers for ideas?
@@3DPrinty When I'm brainstorming puns, word jokes, and even unique names for things I google "____ terms" and just go down the list. You'd be surprised how often I'm going through pirate and horse glossaries.
What printer did you use?
Most of the prints I show are from my Prusa MK3/MK3s/MK3S+ printers.
Prusa is so far ahead of cura...
The new text tool is huge - why not customize every model :)
Useless info, it's called a tambour door. Cool box.
Your information isn't useless at all! Tambour boxes are really cool, so I'm glad you brought them up.
That said, The tambour boxes I've seen usually include a slide-out drawer. This, in turn, pulls open the shutter. Since this design didn't include a drawer, I intentionally decided not to use the term.
I'm glad you like the box :)
This is definitely a tambour! The slide-out drawer is a fun novelty made possible by the properties of the tambour, but most functional examples of tambours (e.g. bread boxes, cabinets) don't do that.
Good point! While "tambour box" brings to my mind the popular drawer-style box, I suppose I was too cautious about calling the mechanism itself a "tambour door".
Hopefully no one thinks I was trying to pass that off as a completely new idea.
@@3DPrinty :) My day-job is designing commercial furniture. We use tambour doors for all kinds of things, not just roll-top desks and boxes.
