SO glad I started building Scarlita instead.
The duality comes from whaling content creators and whales in general.
Not the other 99% of us that play the game.
I feel like every time a character comes out in this game, people rush to give their opinions on the unit without really diving into testing(I dont mean the streamers, thats their job) Based off of what i've seen from this unit she can be particularly strong in AFK stage pushing, duras trials, Supreme arena, and Arcane Lab. that being said though in regular arena since most people are running eiron/scar she isnt as strong there. I think its good that strong units have direct counters. This isnt the first instance of this either in the game, Odie Counters Igor, Igor Counters Vala, Vala counters Odie.... Things like this make the game interesting. It's your job, as the player base....to kinda figure it out. I will say though in other games if a specific character was so meta defining that you couldnt even release other units without them either being considered weak because they get countered by that unit, or strong because they work with that unit, or even weak because they work with that unit but not as good as the rest of the units; It would be grounds for the character to get nerfed. I'm not saying nerf Eiron but.....The devs might want to consider how to make a kit that allows people to play the game around him.... maybe a M+ ability that gives the entire Allied team unaffected for the first 10 seconds of the game or something i dunno >_>
I think you're mistaken about rush opinion here: If a hero is broken or best at something, it will be discovered in day 1 of testing and If the hero is situational or niche, they will shine any other day of testing.
Day 1 of using Talene, people discovered: she is hard counter by Scarlita in PvP bc of her kit unlike other heroes, Lone gaze DR Phraesto out dmg her while being a tank with same investment, her ult is very interruptible in AFK stages, and Talene still lost to Smokey in deficit pushing.
--> There are so many things got discovered day 1, and I think you just straight up ignore because you want to pull for her. If you want to pull, just do it then quit the game after getting same result. I watched Zeeebo live stream to see those horrible result while she is S+ with 4-star investment, but you can find out yourself with your wallet as this is hardcore pay unit. You couldn't get the resource to pull this unit by just being filthy casual at the game and dev just made it possible when Talene was dropped which is yesterday.
BTW, Day 2 of using Talene, people discovered: Honey bear hard counter Talene, and no new discovery beside some fan boys like you still in lala land.

He starts with flowers that automatically heal everyone around him. He could probably outheal a full round of ultimates at the start of the battle even if he was fully CCed.

I agree that this is good design and definitely a step in the right direction from Lilith. However since they already did release both Scarlita and Phraesto than they are clearly superior choices over here, and that's not even mentioning Reinier who is a must have at mythic+ for anything dream realm related at the very least... So Reinier first to mythic+(but no further) is still pretty much mandatory than it's still Phraesto=Scarlita>Talene at this point. Talene can be strong and flexible but is also hard countered, something neither Phraesto nor Scarlita can be. I mean you can argue Scarlita counters Phraesto's revives(ex +15 for the other) however since Phraesto brings so much more to the table than that than I'd say Scarlita is not at all a Phraesto hard counter, unlike Talene.
If you're building Talene before Scarlita you're just trolling hard imo

why not use her in mauler comp in pvp shakyr with her buff sounds crazy
She has 5-6 revives and then she stays dead as she hits -100 vitality and cant be healed anymore
I chose her because of her design mostly ngl 😂 she looks cool as hell

Just use enlightment artifact to counter most of Talene's con (which is CC)...also i imagine there might come some heroes that grants CC immunity soon, to counter the current CC meta
Exactly my thoughts. Only problem with enlightening spell is that it doesnt lasts forever tho.

Is Talene good with just 1 copy on new server as Dream realm unit to push as high as possible if you have no M+ oddie etc?
I think another unaffected hero like Rhys would be good and perhaps their M+ would be to grant that to another unit. would be cool, mix up meta a bit.

Not with too much cc. Plus we don’t have a dedicated support (healer) for celestials/hypogeans.
Still saying it... Reinier m+ (at least) 1st... then mull over which cele/hypo you wanna build next.
I'm using her in arena and she's taken me from top 50 to top 30 in whale server S1. Lol pretty good if you ask me

Lets be honest... at s+ she is op... at m+ she is good but less compared to scarlita reinier at the same level... and at 1 copy she really is not that good...
I own her at S+ +20 and I don't think she is tbh, she is not better than phraesto and scarlita in all game modes currently. She is heavily countered on PvP by control units or just scarlita herself. DR wise she doesn't deal as much as phraesto or scarlita either lol idk how to even defend her being good at something, the problem is she has every kit at every role but doesn't excel in any of it. She is a jack of all trades master of none 😂, anyways maxed her up because of her design and lore.

In my opinion, I heavily disagree with your take on 0:44. If something is unique that doesn't make it op, niru is unique and it is not op. The fact that she gets countered by every single good pvp team automatically makes her HORRIBLE in pvp BUT she is quite good in pve with the combination of smokey and/or another healer. The problem with talene is this : why build a good pve unit that is un-usable in pvp when you can build phraesto or scarlita that are good in pve and pvp.
You’re over rating pharesto. He’s at the same tier as talene in PvP. The problem with pharesto is he is heavily countered by eironn and will force your positioning on most maps. Map 3 is horrible for him since u have to either give up the link or his damage reduction + shield.
Totally agree with the unique = OP argument. I don't understand why many CC like to make a statement and self contradict themselves later in the video. I prefer their content when they are more honest and not find light-weighted excuses to say something is decent (especially when their logic can also be used on other non-meta heroes).
@@komodo7044 phraesto is insane in PvE tho. he basicly enables every single deficit push team as he is the only tank that actually survives enough dmg still good in PvP but his main spot is PvE meanwhile talene isnt rly meta in either she gets completely fucked in PvP by any meta team and PvE u dont rly need her as u can just use smokey like normal
@@gecgoodpasi1654 first, pharesto teams also revolves around Smokey. So let’s cut this bs “talene sucks for pve cause she needs Smokey” pharesto needs him too.
Second, you can substitute pharesto for granny. I’ve been using granny and thoran in place of pharesto and still pushing the same. If I had m+ or s+ pharesto I would probably only be able to push like 10 more levels which barely matters after 1000.
Even in dream realm the only boss he scores higher is lone gaze which also includes talene.
Talene and pharesto have the same value.
I highly regret going for Talene. Phraesto would've done so much more for my account. She has pretty much no use for me.

Thanks for the perspective and content! One thing I appreciate with this game, afk journey, is you can counter any character with strategy. No character in the game is invincible. Gives f2p and guppies a fighting chance! Have a great day Zeeeee! 💯 ✌️

Seems like Zeebo doesn’t realize OP means overpowered. Talene is definitely not overpowered compared to other units. Reiner and Scarlita are arguably better.

Heroes that do low damage per hit, especially constant damage over time, don't do well against enemies with high defense. If the enemy has 100M defense, no attacks under 100M will even be counted.
If we didn't have smokie's bugged ult, we would be using true damage and high crit heroes exclusively for pushing.
TLDR: Talene gets easily countered in PVP, she’s useless against 3 of the dream realm bosses and she requires high investment. I think I’m gonna go for Phraesto…
Imma gonna make my reiner supreme, just to increase his base stat for survaivality. One free copy after 2 and half weeks and one selection chest.
Tbh, she seems very usable in pvp. Use her as an extra damage dealer in ur eironn vs other stall comps with scarlita etc. Im top 5 in my server. She wasnt an autowin vs dio/ scar comps.
But that would have made her too op in my mind. And the other "pvp" units you have to build around. Talene is more of a build enabler and can be brought into most
I feel like you haven't used her , if you did you would see that she is a horrible damage dealer since she gets interrupted all the time vs eironn teams.

@@mitrakasg8519 Thats what ive been thinking with all these "talene mid" comments. ive been using her vs all defs im fightning now, and she excels. she doesnt need her ult to shine there. ofc she is even better if she isnt interrupted.
@@mitrakasg8519ngl i use her in my stall team with thoran, eironn, scarlitta, talene and damian (All S+). Using Enlightening spell on her she absolutely fucking cooks. Keeps the rest of my team healthy and alive to not get killed by enemy scarlitta while melting their team and letting my scarlitta or thoran wipe them.
