@Thegoldenchopsticks For the past 3 years, most dealerships sold at or above MSRP...now they are below. Many have 10% or more off MSRP. Tesla, this year, had 3 separate price modifications across all models. Some companies are talking about moving away from dealerships and doing online sales...no more dealerships. 2 of the largest, multi-state dealerships in the US closed down. It already HAS been crashing...people are just not seeing it. I sold all my Stellantis stock almost 16 months ago. It has since crashed.

Right you are. As we keep our older car repaired and on the road , and new car prices rise beyond our means, that make used cars the most attractive option. For the past 3 years, most dealerships sold at or above MSRP...now they are below. Many have 10% or more off MSRP.
Tesla, this year, had 3 separate price modifications across all models.
Some companies are talking about moving away from dealerships and doing online sales...no more dealerships.
2 of the largest, multi-state dealerships in the US closed down.
Nissan, instead of filing bankruptcy, is probably going to be sold to Honda.
Stellantis was talking to BYD, in China, about purchasing Ram and Dodge...
It already HAS been crashing...people are just not seeing it. I sold all my Stellantis stock almost 16 months ago. It has since crashed.
Tes there’s a crash currently happening
@@michaeljones3765dodge in my area all jeeps and trucks are 12k-14500 off
The what I paid and the auction day videos are my favorite videos from you.
New cars are the biggest liability, it’s throwing money away, getting in debt on something that loses money. Not an asset. I have done it a few times, lessons learned.
Buy used, pay cash, stay out of debt.
Or buy new, pay cash, no debt
I really miss my car. Was halfway paying it off until i got into an accident. Wanted to keep it.
Go to drive time and check out their used cars.I feel sorry for the people getting taken from them.Older 4 door sedans with 180k miles for $18k.Sad.
I just quit driving at almost 67. I drove my 21 year old truck every day since 2011. I wasn't going to put constant work and money into it. I knew I couldn't afford to ever get a car again.
Ok.... I am in the rust belt! so let me tell you if you get a 4x4 truck with 150k I would pay the 5k AND have you ship it here!!! That is how much a rust free truck is worth to me.... I have two that will need to be replaced or repaired .... and even if repaired it will never be rust free! same would go for a car... especially if you want to keep it... like a convertible... muscle car and so on... I can do everything to repair a vehicle mechanically but not erase the rust!
Do you see that new car dealers are sacrificing quality to get you in a new car sooner and pay 100,000 new truck or suv. Seems like any car before 2007 lasted longer than now
The best time to but a car it not only “towards the end of the year” if you’re pre approved. The best time to buy a new car is literally December 31st.
Depending on who you listen to, since the covid thing used cars went up by about 48%. They have come down by about 25%. Still about 23% higher than before the covid thing. Still too high.
Right you are. As we keep our older car repaired and on the road , and new car prices rise beyond our means, that make used cars the most attractive option. That also means that as demand increases for them, the price increases also . A shortage of quality used cars will always make those cars more expensive.
My last car purchase I spent New Year's Eve evening at the car dealership.
Car prices are already rising at auction here. I’m holding over 200 for late January ish.
Watched and commented on your videos for years, there will never be a used car crash when new cars are expensive, and used car inventory is tight. Before covid mnheim Baltimore would sell 30+ Chevy malibus a week. Now less than 10.
200. Holding them as not offering them for sale?
I got two 2006 cars with 130k and 330 respectfully Tundra and oddesy but I do live in Vegas
Been saying this stuff all year nothing is changing
I'm saying used prices are about to go up... Haha I don't think anyone even watches these videos before they comment
Nice title switch
2010 Honda Civic, he paid $1900? Unless that car has 300K miles, that's guaranteed $8-10K at any dealer large or small in the state of MN.
Where is your dealership at in North Carolina? I need a car for my son.
@DrakeButler-x1pwhat makes you think a private seller is honest?
It only takes four hrs to sand buff and clear a set of headlights. Does it not attract enough attention? Or is it just a lack of time and employees? I thought having clear instead of cloud. Would make a lot pop more
Hello Brad, where is your dealership located?
Glad I bought my 19 Cruze new in late 18. Since I made the fatal mistake of paying for my car with a check and not finance it, I had to pay the full MSRP of $19,999.
I worked for a cash only dealer back in the 90s, they bought for 150-400 and sold the
Im so blessed to be financially comfortable & retired b4 age 50 & only have 2 years of payments left on my 2021 camry w/41k miles @ 195$ a month - i drive maybe 1-2x a week & thats like total of 10-15 miles , of my sons sentra breaks down in next few years ( ugh cvt transmission) ill give him my Camry & get into a 0$ down lease - no Fn way im going to look @ these trucks that have msrps of 100k just fn insane - i have tremendous empathy for people who still have to work 15-30 years & are forced into needing a vehicle in this insane market , if my son can make his car last & gets a well paying job in his feokd when he geaduates ill keep my camry for 15 more years - only drawback is that living in a snow state the rusting of cars is a problem - when id be down south & see a 2003 maxima im comfused & have to do a double take bcuz that old of a car , no matter how well maintained, wont last in a snow state ( pa maybe bcuz they use sand & not salt or other corrosive chemicals ) bol to all out there
Exactly. All businesses do it. I was a watching a pickup. At this dealership and all of a sudden the price went up on a 2 year old truck that's been sitting and rotting with under a 100 miles on the odometer. When I confronted the salesman he looked like a deer in headlights. This happened on 12/19/2025. 🖕These dealerships
Are you from the future?
I havent found a decent car for under 4 grand in about 3 yrs. They all have high price tag even those with check engine lights on that wont pass a DMV inspection🤔
alot of wholesale is happening online with nicer vehicles that dealers aren't willing to run through a lane and get lowballed
They really got some shitty vehicles at auction!
I have heard you speak about the new car dealers floor plan costs, but who carries the actual cost of the vehicle? Is it a "consignment" deal with the manufacturers and this is how manufacturers can give incentives?
i’m happy with my 1991 Dodge Stealth R/T AWD AWS!!!! Going to buy an older car next summer!!!!
I will visit soon
What is the name
Of dealership? You are a couple states away, but I wanted to see the details on the Equinox & Subaru. Thank you!😊
Brandon, I ran operations for start-up tricounty recycling organization for 7 yrs. Recycling is more needed than ever, and you could qualify as one. Good on ya.
What?
I like that HHR in the background.. had one as a commuter.. put 160K hard miles on it.. and it was very reliable.
Tough little lunch box.
Those are some of the biggest pos you could buy
@@wrenchone5003 I am just telling you my experience..
I bought it brand new as a commuter. 2009 Base LS with 5speed stick. Zero options.
Rotors, pads, tires, oil and gas. The only minor expense I had was replacing the struts and shocks myself and it was less than $500.
It got rear ended twice.. both times I was able to drive away. Both times the car that hit me were totaled. (Kia Sedona minivan and a Mazda 3)
Got 28 - 30mpg.. surprisingly roomy when you dropped the back seat.
The drivers seat was not very comfortable for long drives.. but damn it did its job and did it well.
Yeah with all the rock chips on the front of it, it looked like it had gone through reentry, but it was nimble in traffic.
Gave it to my niece and she put another 20K miles on it before her cousin backed into it and totaled it.
Mine was in better condition than the one he is selling though.
Wow I've heard those are "junk", but seems like you were on top of maintenance & used common sense driving ( letting it warm up properly etc ) it's comforting knowing a new "cheaper" American car lasted a while 4ya - congrats 🎉🎉🎉🎉
@@notoriousLSGshow I did not worry about warming up.
I put it on Mobil 1 5W-30 Synthetic on first oil change and changed the oil every 5K miles myself.
Nothing to it.
Very simple motor.
Is that a 2010 Civic EX-L? I have the same one in silver I might want to buy yours too.
That's actually a good turnover rate you have. Some new cars and newer used cars are well over 365 days on the lot....
Makes me wonder....
Dealers around me have had stocked inventory since late last tax season. I was shopping around tax time and found the inventory skimpy. Then, at the end of tax season, it seemed like everyone got a shipment, and lots have been full since then
Specifically used car lots
I have a question. You talk about ur vehicles not have rust so supposedly, you say they last longer. We'll the motor and Trans is what really makes the car run. At 150 or 200 miles, that's a last leg life spand. I could be wrong.
Not for a Honda or Toyota. A Ford, Chevy or Dodge maybe🤔
I once bought a car that had a new motor and transmission installed . It was rusty but it ran great. It was a {700 dollars} 1978 Ford Thunderbird with the 302 . I prefer the 351 which I had in another Thunderbird and it was super nice.
NC requires an inspection and no check engine light. Do you just clear the light and it will come back on with in a week of driving it off your lot? Also do you address other codes that don't cause a check engine light?
You can't just clear a light and get it to pass... Cars have to be driven a lot after a reset to set incomplete monitors in the computer before inspection. You can't just trick the inspection computer.
Where are you located in NC (city)? I would love to see your dealership. Very informative video.
Old Japanese cars were a Solid build. Meant to last for literally forever! But sadly, the newer cars including the Japanese cars aren't built to last long enough
Doing God's work Brandon, as always!
So when did that God become concerned about car sales?
Question about the dodge slashing prices thing. I live in massachusetts I've been looking for a challenger. I can't really find anything in massachusetts or newhampshire I don't care if it's used but if I could find a 2023 with under 20k miles for around 25k where would I look. And I dont want one that was a rental or that's been in an accident flooded or was stolen. Cause that's all I'm seeing. I haven't seen much in the east coast. And I definitely haven't seen prices go down. I would love to trade my 2017 accord in too.
Very informative episode Brandon, I'm from Canada and with the looming effects from American tariffs, could have a major effect on, the auto industry, and Elon Musk having Tesla, could his influence, be a reason for sending the American auto into choas for Elon's Musk gain.
I thought used car dealers tried to reduce inventory around January 1 to reduce the property taxes they pay on inventory.
If i knew where you were, i would buy a plane ticket and bring cash...I need a reliable work suv. My last 5 k went into one that can't be fixed and its name is chitty chitty bang bang....shes nearly ready for the scrap yard...
This year is over and nothing special going on!
I'm seeing prices come down, but not much. Couple grand off a $65k truck isn't much of an incentive. I'll continue to wait it out and stack $$$.
I don’t think it’s gonna happen like that this year
Please , put the link for your car lot... thanks
so how many miles are on those trucks? 200k?
Do you every see any classic cars? Im going to get rid of my 1991 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo
please what is your website, check you about section and could not find it
Youve said many many times even recorded that you should not buy a vehilce by chirstmas time but after
Do u have a website to see the cars you have for sale
Do you ever haggle or are your prices in stone?
Is there a 'Dealer Obligation' in the US on used cars to fix things that break the day after it leaves the lot? Here in Au it's 3 months or 3000 mi but only for cars with less than 100,000 mi and less than 10 years old. Outside of that it's nothing.
Unless noted otherwise used vehicles are sold as is.
